Psalms 115

1 Not to us, LORD, not to us but to your name give glory because of your faithfulness and love.	1 Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam super misericordia tua et veritate tua.
2 Why should the nations say, "Where is their God?"	2 Quare dicent gentes: “ Ubi est Deus eorum? ”.
3 Our God is in heaven; whatever God wills is done.	3 Deus autem noster in caelo; omnia, quaecumque voluit, fecit.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands.	4 Simulacra gentium argentum et aurum, opera manuum hominum.
5 They have mouths but do not speak, eyes but do not see.	5 Os habent et non loquentur, oculos habent et non videbunt.
6 They have ears but do not hear, noses but do not smell.	6 Aures habent et non audient, nares habent et non odorabunt.
7 They have hands but do not feel, feet but do not walk, and no sound rises from their throats.	7 Manus habent et non palpabunt, pedes habent et non ambulabunt; non clamabunt in gutture suo.
8 Their makers shall be like them, all who trust in them.	8 Similes illis erunt, qui faciunt ea, et omnes, qui confidunt in eis.
9 The house of Israel trusts in the LORD, who is their help and shield.	9 Domus Israel speravit in Domino: adiutorium eorum et scutum eorum est.
10 The house of Aaron trusts in the LORD, who is their help and shield.	10 Domus Aaron speravit in Domino: adiutorium eorum et scutum eorum est.
11 Those who fear the LORD trust in the LORD, who is their help and shield.	11 Qui timent Dominum, speraverunt in Domino: adiutorium eorum et scutum eorum est.
12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us, will bless the house of Israel, will bless the house of Aaron,	12 Dominus memor fuit nostri et benedicet nobis: benedicet domui Israel, benedicet domui Aaron,
13 Will bless those who fear the LORD, small and great alike.	13 benedicet omnibus, qui timent Dominum, pusillis cum maioribus.
14 May the LORD increase your number, you and your descendants.	14 Adiciat Dominus super vos, super vos et super filios vestros.
15 May you be blessed by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.	15 Benedicti vos a Domino, qui fecit caelum et terram.
16 The heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth is given to us.	16 Caeli, caeli sunt Domino, terram autem dedit filiis hominum.
17 The dead do not praise the LORD, all those gone down into silence.	17 Non mortui laudabunt te, Domine, neque omnes, qui descendunt in silentium,
18 It is we who bless the LORD, both now and forever. Hallelujah!	18 sed nos, qui vivimus, benedicimus Domino ex hoc nunc et usque in saeculum.
