These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, to whom sons were born after the flood.1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and of the sons who were born to them after the great flood.
The descendants of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
The descendants of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.3 And then the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
The descendants of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, and the Rodanim.4 And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
These are the descendants of Japheth, and from them sprang the maritime nations, in their respective lands--each with its own language--by their clans within their nations.5 The islands of the Gentiles were divided by these into their regions, each one according to his tongue, and their families in their nations.
The descendants of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.6 And the Sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.
The descendants of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.7 And the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dadan.
Cush became the father of Nimrod, who was the first potentate on earth.8 And then Cush conceived Nimrod; he began to be powerful on the earth.
He was a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD; hence the saying, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD."9 And he was an able hunter before the Lord. From this, a proverb came forth: ‘Just like Nimrod, an able hunter before the Lord.’
The chief cities of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.10 And so, the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Chalanne, in the land of Shinar.
From that land he went forth to Asshur, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah,11 From that land, Assur came forth, and he built Nineveh, and the streets of the city, and Calah,
as well as Resen, between Nineveh and Calah, the latter being the principal city.12 and also Resen, between Nineveh and Calah. This is a great city.
Mizraim became the father of the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim,13 And truly, Mizraim conceived Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, Naphtuhim,
the Pathrusim, the Casluhim, and the Caphtorim from whom the Philistines sprang.14 and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, from whom came forth the Philistines and the Caphtorim.
Canaan became the father of Sidon, his first-born, and of Heth;15 Then Canaan conceived Sidon his firstborn, the Hittite,

the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,17 the Hivite, and the Arkite: the Sinite,
the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward, the clans of the Canaanites spread out,18 and the Arvadian, the Samarite, and the Hamathite. And after this, the peoples of the Canaanites became widespread.
so that the Canaanite borders extended from Sidon all the way to Gerar, near Gaza, and all the way to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, near Lasha.19 And the borders of Chanaan went, as one travels, from Sidon to Gerar, even to Gaza, until one enters Sodom and Gomorrah, and from Admah and Zeboiim, even to Lesa.
These are the descendants of Ham, according to their clans and languages, by their lands and nations.20 These are the sons of Ham in their kindred, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.
To Shem also, Japheth's oldest brother and the ancestor of all the children of Eber, sons were born.21 Likewise, from Shem, the father of all the sons of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.
The descendants of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.22 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
The descendants of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.23 The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.24 But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.
To Eber two sons were born: the name of the first was Peleg, for in his time the world was divided; and the name of his brother was Joktan.25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth became divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.
Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,26 This Joktan conceived Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, Jerah

From these the other nations of the earth branched out after the flood.32 These are the families of Noah, according to their peoples and nations. The nations became divided according to these, on the earth after the great flood.
