1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, to whom sons were born after the flood.	1 ואלה תולדת בני נח שם חם ויפת ויולדו להם בנים אחר המבול
2 The descendants of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.	2 בני יפת גמר ומגוג ומדי ויון ותבל ומשך ותירס
3 The descendants of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.	3 ובני גמר אשכנז וריפת ותגרמה
4 The descendants of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, and the Rodanim.	4 ובני יון אלישה ותרשיש כתים ודדנים
5 These are the descendants of Japheth, and from them sprang the maritime nations, in their respective lands--each with its own language--by their clans within their nations.	5 מאלה נפרדו איי הגוים בארצתם איש ללשנו למשפחתם בגויהם
6 The descendants of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.	6 ובני חם כוש ומצרים ופוט וכנען
7 The descendants of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.	7 ובני כוש סבא וחוילה וסבתה ורעמה וסבתכא ובני רעמה שבא ודדן
8 Cush became the father of Nimrod, who was the first potentate on earth.	8 וכוש ילד את נמרד הוא החל להיות גבר בארץ
9 He was a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD; hence the saying, "Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter by the grace of the LORD."	9 הוא היה גבר ציד לפני יהוה על כן יאמר כנמרד גבור ציד לפני יהוה
10 The chief cities of his kingdom were Babylon, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.	10 ותהי ראשית ממלכתו בבל וארך ואכד וכלנה בארץ שנער
11 From that land he went forth to Asshur, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, and Calah,	11 מן הארץ ההוא יצא אשור ויבן את נינוה ואת רחבת עיר ואת כלח
12 as well as Resen, between Nineveh and Calah, the latter being the principal city.	12 ואת רסן בין נינוה ובין כלח הוא העיר הגדלה
13 Mizraim became the father of the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim,	13 ומצרים ילד את לודים ואת ענמים ואת להבים ואת נפתחים
14 the Pathrusim, the Casluhim, and the Caphtorim from whom the Philistines sprang.	14 ואת פתרסים ואת כסלחים אשר יצאו משם פלשתים ואת כפתרים
15 Canaan became the father of Sidon, his first-born, and of Heth;	15 וכנען ילד את צידן בכרו ואת חת
16 also of the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,	16 ואת היבוסי ואת האמרי ואת הגרגשי
17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,	17 ואת החוי ואת הערקי ואת הסיני
18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward, the clans of the Canaanites spread out,	18 ואת הארודי ואת הצמרי ואת החמתי ואחר נפצו משפחות הכנעני
19 so that the Canaanite borders extended from Sidon all the way to Gerar, near Gaza, and all the way to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, near Lasha.	19 ויהי גבול הכנעני מצידן באכה גררה עד עזה באכה סדמה ועמרה ואדמה וצבים עד לשע
20 These are the descendants of Ham, according to their clans and languages, by their lands and nations.	20 אלה בני חם למשפחתם ללשנתם בארצתם בגויהם
21 To Shem also, Japheth's oldest brother and the ancestor of all the children of Eber, sons were born.	21 ולשם ילד גם הוא אבי כל בני עבר אחי יפת הגדול
22 The descendants of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, and Aram.	22 בני שם עילם ואשור וארפכשד ולוד וארם
23 The descendants of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.	23 ובני ארם עוץ וחול וגתר ומש
24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.	24 וארפכשד ילד את שלח ושלח ילד את עבר
25 To Eber two sons were born: the name of the first was Peleg, for in his time the world was divided; and the name of his brother was Joktan.	25 ולעבר ילד שני בנים שם האחד פלג כי בימיו נפלגה הארץ ושם אחיו יקטן
26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,	26 ויקטן ילד את אלמודד ואת שלף ואת חצרמות ואת ירח
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,	27 ואת הדורם ואת אוזל ואת דקלה
28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,	28 ואת עובל ואת אבימאל ואת שבא
29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were descendants of Joktan.	29 ואת אופר ואת חוילה ואת יובב כל אלה בני יקטן
30 Their settlements extended all the way to Sephar, the eastern hill country.	30 ויהי מושבם ממשא באכה ספרה הר הקדם
31 These are the descendants of Shem, according to their clans and languages by their lands and nations.	31 אלה בני שם למשפחתם ללשנתם בארצתם לגויהם
32 These are the groupings of Noah's sons, according to their origins and by their nations. From these the other nations of the earth branched out after the flood.	32 אלה משפחת בני נח לתולדתם בגויהם ומאלה נפרדו הגוים בארץ אחר המבול
