1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.	1 Al maestro di coro. Con strumenti a corda. Sull'ottava. Salmo. Di Davide.
2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.	2 Signore, nella tua ira non mi riprendere, nel tuo sdegno non mi punire.
3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?	3 Abbi pietà di me, o Signore, poiché sono affranto; guariscimi, o Signore, poiché inaridite sono le mie ossa.
4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.	4 L'anima mia è molto turbata, e tu fino a quando...?
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?	5 Ritorna, Signore, e salva l'anima mia; soccorrimi per la tua misericordia.
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.	6 Poiché non v'è ricordo di te nella morte; negli inferi chi celebra le tue lodi?
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.	7 A causa del mio gemere io sono consunto, inondo ogni notte il mio giaciglio e irrigo di lacrime il mio letto.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.	8 E' arrossato per il dolore il mio occhio; si è invecchiato per il patire il mio cuore.
9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.	9 Via da me, voi tutti che operate iniquità! Poiché il Signore ha udito la voce del mio pianto;
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.	10 ha udito il Signore la mia implorazione; il Signore accoglie la mia preghiera.
	11 Siano confusi, siano sconvolti completamente tutti i miei nemici. Indietreggino, confusi, all'istante!
