1 O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.	1 Cantico, e salmo di David. Signore non mi riprendere nel tuo furore, e non mi correggere nell'ira tua.
2 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.	2 Abbi pietà di me, perché io sono senza forze, sanami, o Signore, perché le ossa mie sono scommosse.
3 My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?	3 E l'anima mia è grandemente turbata: ma tu, o Signore, fino a quando? ...
4 Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.	4 Volgiti, o Signore, e libera l'anima mia: per tua misericordia dammi salute.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?	5 Imperocché nella morte non è chi di te si ricordi; e nell'inferno chi mai ti confesserà.
6 I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.	6 Mi son consumato nel gemere; laverò tutte le notti il mio letto (col pianto), il luogo del mio riposo irrigherò colle mie lagrime.
7 Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.	7 Per lo furore l'occhio mio si è ottenebrato; sono invecchiato in mezzo a tutti i miei nemici.
8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.	8 Andate lungi da me voi tutti, che operate l'iniquità, conciossiachè il Signore ha esaudita la voce del pianto mio.
9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.	9 Il Signore ha esaudite le mie suppliche, il Signore ha accolta la mia orazione.
10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.	10 Siano svergognati, e sconturbati altamente tutti i miei nemici, siano volti in fuga, e svergognati in un attimo.
