Psalms 36

1 The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.	1 Per il capocoro. Del servitore di Jahvè. Di David.
2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.	2 Sussurro del peccato al peccatore in fondo al suo cuore; non c’è timore di Dio nel cospetto dei suoi occhi.
3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.	3 Poiché fece lusinghe ai suoi occhiquanto a scoprire la colpa, ad odiarla.
4 He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.	4 Le parole della sua bocca sono malizia e frode, cessò di comprendere e di fare bene;
5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.	5 escogitò malizia sul suo giaciglio. Si tenne su una via non buona, non riprova il male.
6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.	6 Jahvè: nei cieli è la tua bontà, la tua fedeltà giunge fino alle nubi.
7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.	7 La tua giustizia è come i monti divini, il tuo giudizio come il grande abisso; tu salvi, o Jahvè, l’uomo e il bestiame.
8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.	8 Quanto è preziosa la tua bontà, o Dio; tale che i figli dell’uomo all’ombra delle tue ali si rifugiano.
9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.	9 Si inebriano dell’adipe della tua casa e il rivo delle tue delizie li disseta.
10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.	10 Infatti presso di te è la fonte di vita, nella tua luce vedremo la luce.
11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.	11 Continua la tua grazia a coloro che ti conoscono e la tua giustizia ai retti di cuore.
12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.	12 Non mi raggiunga piede orgoglioso e mano d’empio non mi riduca ramingo.
	13 Di colpo caddero coloro che fanno il male; furono rovesciati né poterono risorgere.
