1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.	1 Hae sunt generationes filio rum Noe, Sem, Cham et Ia pheth; natique sunt eis filii post diluvium.
2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.	2 Filii Iapheth: Gomer et Magog et Madai et Iavan et Thubal et Mosoch et Thiras.
3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.	3 Porro filii Gomer: Aschenez et Riphath et Thogorma.
4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.	4 Filii autem Iavan: Elisa et Tharsis, Cetthim et Rodanim.
5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.	5 Ab his divisae sunt insulae gentium in regionibus suis, unusquisque secundum linguam suam et familias suas in nationibus suis.
6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.	6 Filii autem Cham: Chus et Mesraim et Phut et Chanaan.
7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.	7 Filii Chus: Saba et Hevila et Sabatha et Regma et Sabathacha. Filii Regma: Saba et Dedan.
8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.	8 Porro Chus genuit Nemrod: ipse coepit esse potens in terra
9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.	9 et erat robustus venator coram Domino. Ob hoc exivit proverbium: “Quasi Nemrod robustus venator coram Domino”.
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.	10 Fuit autem principium regni eius Babylon et Arach et Achad et Chalanne in terra Sennaar.
11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,	11 De terra illa egressus est in Assyriam et aedificavit Nineven et Rohobothir et Chale,
12 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.	12 Resen quoque inter Nineven et Chale; haec est civitas magna.
13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,	13 At vero Mesraim genuit Ludim et Anamim et Laabim, Nephthuim
14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.	14 et Phetrusim et Chasluim et Caphtorim, de quibus egressi sunt Philisthim.
15 And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,	15 Chanaan autem genuit Sidonem primogenitum suum, Hetthaeum
16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,	16 et Iebusaeum et Amorraeum, Gergesaeum,
17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,	17 Hevaeum et Aracaeum, Sinaeum
18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.	18 et Aradium, Samaraeum et Emathaeum; et post haec disseminati sunt populi Chananaeorum.
19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.	19 Factique sunt termini Chanaan venientibus a Sidone Geraram usque Gazam, donec ingrediaris Sodomam et Gomorram et Adamam et Seboim usque Lesa.
20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.	20 Hi sunt filii Cham in cognationibus et linguis terrisque et gentibus suis.
21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.	21 De Sem quoque nati sunt, patre omnium filiorum Heber, fratre Iapheth maiore.
22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.	22 Filii Sem: Elam et Assur et Arphaxad et Lud et Aram.
23 And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.	23 Filii Aram: Us et Hul et Gether et Mes.
24 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.	24 At vero Arphaxad genuit Sala, de quo ortus est Heber.
25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.	25 Natique sunt Heber filii duo: nomen uni Phaleg, eo quod in diebus eius divisa sit terra, et nomen fratris eius Iectan.
26 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazar-maveth, and Jerah,	26 Qui Iectan genuit Elmodad et Saleph et Asarmoth, Iare
27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,	27 et Adoram et Uzal et Decla
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,	28 et Ebal et Abimael, Saba
29 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.	29 et Ophir et Hevila et Iobab. Omnes isti filii Iectan;
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.	30 et facta est habitatio eorum de Messa pergentibus usque Sephar montem orientalem.
31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.	31 Isti filii Sem secundum cognationes et linguas et regiones in gentibus suis.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.	32 Hae familiae filiorum Noe iuxta generationes et nationes suas. Ab his divisae sunt gentes in terra post diluvium.
