1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.	1 Questi sono i discendenti de' figliuoli di Noè, di Sem, di Cham, e di Japheth: e questi i figliuoli nati ad essi dopo il diluvio.
2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.	2 Figliuoli di Japheth sono Gomer, e Magog, e Madai, e Javan, e Thubal, e Mosoch, e Thiras.
3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.	3 E i figliuoli di Gomer, Ascenez, e Riphath, e Thogorma.
4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.	4 E i figliuoli di Javan, Elisa, e Tharsis, e Cetthim e Dodanim.
5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.	5 Questi si divisero le isole delle nazioni, e le diverse regioni, ognuno secondo il proprio linguaggio, e le sue famiglie, e la sua nazione.
6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.	6 E i figliuoli di Cham sono Chus, e Mesraim, Phuth, e Chanaan.
7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.	7 I figliuoli di Chus Saba, ed Hevila, e Sabatha, e Regma, e Sabatacha. I figliuoli di Regma Saba, e Dadan.
8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.	8 Chus poi generò Nemrod: questi cominciò ad essere potente sopra la terra.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.	9 Ed egli era cacciatore robusto dinanzi al Signore; d'onde nacque il proverbio: Come Nemrod cacciatore robusto dinanzi al Signore.
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.	10 E il principio del suo regno fu Babilonia, e Arach, e Achad, e Chalanne nella terra di Sennaar.
11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,	11 Da quella terra uscì Assur, ed edificò Ninive, e le piazze della città, e Chale,
12 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.	12 Ed anche Resen tra Ninive e Chale: questa è una città grande.
13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,	13 Mesraim poi generò Ludim, e Anamim, e Laabim, e Nephtuim,
14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.	14 E Phetrusim, e Chasluim: da' quali vennero i Filistei, e i Caphtorimi.
15 And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,	15 Chanaan poi generò Sidone suo primogenito, d'onde gli Hetei,
16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,	16 Gli Iebusei, e gli Amorrei, i Gergesei,
17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,	17 Gli Hevei, e gli Aracei, e i Sinei,
18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.	18 E gli Aradei, i Samarei, e gli Amatei: e da questi venne la semenza del popolo de' Cananei.
19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.	19 E i confini di Chanaan sono andando tu da Sidone a Gerara fino a Gaza, e fino che tu giunga a Sodoma, a Gomorra, e Adamam, e Seboim fino a Lesa.
20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.	20 Questi sono i figliuoli di Cham distinti secondo la loro origine, e i linguaggi, e le generazioni, e i paesi, e le loro nazioni.
21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.	21 E anche Sem, padre di tutti i figliuoli di Heber, fratello maggiore di Japheth, ebbe figliuoli.
22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.	22 Figliuoli di Sem, Elam, e Assur, e Arphaxad, e Lud, e Aram.
23 And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.	23 I figliuoli di Aram, Us, e Hul, e Gether, e Mes.
24 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.	24 Ma Arphaxad generò Sale, da cui venne Heber.
25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.	25 E ad Heber nacquero due figliuoli: uno si chiamò Phaleg, perché a suo tempo fu divisa la terra: e il fratello di lui ebbe nome Jectan.
26 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazar-maveth, and Jerah,	26 Questo Jectan generò Elmodad, e Saleph, e Asarmoth Jare,
27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,	27 E Aduram, e Uzal, e Decla,
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,	28 Ed Ebal, e Abimael, Saba,
29 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan.	29 E Ophir, ed Hevila, e Jobab: tutti questi figliuoli di Jectan.
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east.	30 E questi abitaron nel paese, che si trova andando da Messa fino a Sephar, monte, che è all'oriente.
31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.	31 Questi sono i figliuoli di Sem secondo le loro famiglie, e linguaggi, e paesi e nazioni proprie.
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.	32 Queste sono le famiglie di Noè secondo i loro popoli, e nazioni. Da queste usciron le diverse nazioni dopo il diluvio.
