Amos 4

1 Hört dieses Wort, ihr Baschankühe auf dem Berg von Samaria, die ihr die Schwachen unterdrückt und die Armen zermalmt und zu euren Männern sagt: Schafft Wein herbei, wir wollen trinken.	1 "Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are in the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to their husbands, 'Bring, that we may drink!'
2 Bei seiner Heiligkeit hat Gott, der Herr, geschworen: Seht, Tage kommen über euch, da holt man euch mit Fleischerhaken weg, und was dann noch von euch übrig ist, mit Angelhaken.	2 The Lord GOD has sworn by his holiness that, behold, the days are coming upon you, when they shall take you away with hooks, even the last of you with fishhooks.
3 Ihr müsst durch die Breschen der Mauern hinaus, eine hinter der andern; man jagt euch dem Hermon zu - Spruch des Herrn.	3 And you shall go out through the breaches, every one straight before her; and you shall be cast forth into Harmon," says the LORD.
4 Kommt nach Bet-El und sündigt, kommt nach Gilgal und sündigt noch mehr! Bringt jeden Morgen eure Schlachtopfer herbei, bringt am dritten Tag euren Zehnten!	4 "Come to Bethel, and transgress; to Gilgal, and multiply transgression; bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three days;
5 Verbrennt als Dankopfer gesäuertes Brot! Ruft zu freiwilligen Opfern auf, verkündet es laut, damit man es hört! Denn so gefällt es euch, ihr Söhne Israels - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn.	5 offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim freewill offerings, publish them; for so you love to do, O people of Israel!" says the Lord GOD.
6 Ich ließ euch hungern in all euren Städten, ich gab euch kein Brot mehr in all euren Dörfern und dennoch seid ihr nicht umgekehrt zu mir - Spruch des Herrn.	6 "I gave you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and lack of bread in all your places, yet you did not return to me," says the LORD.
7 Ich versagte euch den Regen drei Monate vor der Ernte. Über der einen Stadt ließ ich es regnen, über der anderen nicht; das eine Feld bekam Regen, das andere nicht, sodass es verdorrte.	7 "And I also withheld the rain from you when there were yet three months to the harvest; I would send rain upon one city, and send no rain upon another city; one field would be rained upon, and the field on which it did not rain withered;
8 Zwei, drei Städte taumelten zu der einen; sie wollten Wasser trinken und blieben doch durstig. Und dennoch seid ihr nicht umgekehrt zu mir - Spruch des Herrn.	8 so two or three cities wandered to one city to drink water, and were not satisfied; yet you did not return to me," says the LORD.
9 Ich vernichtete euer Getreide durch Rost und Mehltau, ich verwüstete eure Gärten und Weinberge; eure Feigenbäume und eure Ölbäume fraßen die Heuschrecken kahl. Und dennoch seid ihr nicht umgekehrt zu mir - Spruch des Herrn.	9 "I smote you with blight and mildew; I laid waste your gardens and your vineyards; your fig trees and your olive trees the locust devoured; yet you did not return to me," says the LORD.
10 Ich ließ die Pest gegen euch los wie gegen Ägypten, eure jungen Männer tötete ich mit dem Schwert und gab eure Pferde (den Feinden) zur Beute; en Leichengestank von eurem Heerlager ließ ich euch in die Nase steigen. Und dennoch seid ihr nicht umgekehrt zu mir - Spruch des Herrn.	10 "I sent among you a pestilence after the manner of Egypt; I slew your young men with the sword; I carried away your horses; and I made the stench of your camp go up into your nostrils; yet you did not return to me," says the LORD.
11 Ich brachte über euch eine gewaltige Zerstörung wie die, die Gott einst über Sodom und Gomorra verhängte; ihr wart wie ein Holzscheit, das man aus dem Feuer herausholt. Und dennoch seid ihr nicht umgekehrt zu mir - Spruch des Herrn.	11 "I overthrew some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were as a brand plucked out of the burning; yet you did not return to me," says the LORD.
12 Darum will ich dir all das antun, Israel, und weil ich dir all das antun werde, mach dich bereit, deinem Gott gegenüberzutreten.	12 "Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel; because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel!"
13 Denn siehe, er formt die Berge, er erschafft den Wind, er verkündet den Menschen, was er im Sinn hat; er macht das Morgenrot und die Finsternis, er schreitet über die Höhen der Erde dahin - Jahwe, Gott der Heere, ist sein Name.	13 For lo, he who forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought; who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth--the LORD, the God of hosts, is his name!
