1 Cântico das peregrinações. De Davi. Que alegria quando me vieram dizer: Vamos subir à casa do Senhor...	1 A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."
2 Eis que nossos pés se estacam diante de tuas portas, ó Jerusalém!	2 And now our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalém, cidade tão bem edificada, que forma um tão belo conjunto!	3 Jerusalem, built as a city, walled round about.
4 Para lá sobem as tribos, as tribos do Senhor, segundo a lei de Israel, para celebrar o nome do Senhor.	4 Here the tribes have come, the tribes of the LORD, As it was decreed for Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD.
5 Lá se acham os tronos de justiça, os assentos da casa de Davi.	5 Here are the thrones of justice, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pedi, vós todos, a paz para Jerusalém, e vivam em segurança os que te amam.	6 For the peace of Jerusalem pray: "May those who love you prosper!
7 Reine a paz em teus muros, e a tranqüilidade em teus palácios.	7 May peace be within your ramparts, prosperity within your towers."
8 Por amor de meus irmãos e de meus amigos, pedirei a paz para ti.	8 For family and friends I say, "May peace be yours."
9 Por amor da casa do Senhor, nosso Deus, pedirei para ti a felicidade.	9 For the house of the LORD, our God, I pray, "May blessings be yours."
