1 Cântico das peregrinações. De Davi. Que alegria quando me vieram dizer: Vamos subir à casa do Senhor...	1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
2 Eis que nossos pés se estacam diante de tuas portas, ó Jerusalém!	2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalém, cidade tão bem edificada, que forma um tão belo conjunto!	3 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:
4 Para lá sobem as tribos, as tribos do Senhor, segundo a lei de Israel, para celebrar o nome do Senhor.	4 Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
5 Lá se acham os tronos de justiça, os assentos da casa de Davi.	5 For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pedi, vós todos, a paz para Jerusalém, e vivam em segurança os que te amam.	6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
7 Reine a paz em teus muros, e a tranqüilidade em teus palácios.	7 Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
8 Por amor de meus irmãos e de meus amigos, pedirei a paz para ti.	8 For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
9 Por amor da casa do Senhor, nosso Deus, pedirei para ti a felicidade.	9 Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek thy good.
