1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and of the sons who were born to them after the great flood.	1 Questa è la discendenza dei figli di Noè: Sem, Cam e Iafet, ai quali nacquero dei figli, dopo il diluvio.
2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.	2 I figli di Iafet: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Iavan, Tubal, Mesech e Tiras.
3 And then the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.	3 I figli di Gomer: Askenaz, Rifat e Togarma.
4 And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.	4 I figli di Iavan: Elisa, Tarsis, quelli di Cipro e quelli di Rodi.
5 The islands of the Gentiles were divided by these into their regions, each one according to his tongue, and their families in their nations.	5 Da costoro si suddivisero le popolazioni delle isole delle genti. 6 And the Sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.	6 I figli di Cam: Etiopia, Egitto, Put e Canaan.
7 And the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dadan.	7 I figli di Etiopia: Seba, Avila, Sabta, Raama e Sàbteca. I figli di Raama: Saba e Dedan.
8 And then Cush conceived Nimrod; he began to be powerful on the earth.	8 Ora Etiopia generò Nimrod: costui fu il primo a divenire potente nella regione.
9 And he was an able hunter before the Lord. From this, a proverb came forth: ‘Just like Nimrod, an able hunter before the Lord.’	9 Egli era un valente cacciatore al cospetto del Signore, perciò si suol dire: "Come Nimrod, valente cacciatore al cospetto del Signore".
10 And so, the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Chalanne, in the land of Shinar.	10 Il nucleo del suo regno fu Babele, Uruch, Accad e Calne nella terra di Sennaar.
11 From that land, Assur came forth, and he built Nineveh, and the streets of the city, and Calah,	11 Di lì uscì in Assur e costruì Ninive, le piazze della città, Calach

20 These are the sons of Ham in their kindred, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.	20 Questi furono i figli di Cam secondo le loro famiglie e le loro lingue, nei loro territori e nelle loro diverse nazioni.
21 Likewise, from Shem, the father of all the sons of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.	21 Anche a Sem, l'antenato di tutti i figli di Eber, fratello maggiore di Iafet, nacque una discendenza.
22 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.	22 Figli di Sem: Elam, Assur, Arpacsàd, Lud, Aram.
23 The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.	23 Figli di Aram: Uz, Cul, Gheter e Mas.
24 But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.	24 Arpacsàd generò Selach e Selach generò Eber.

28 and Obal and Abimael, Sheba	28 Obal, Abimaèl, Seba,

32 These are the families of Noah, according to their peoples and nations. The nations became divided according to these, on the earth after the great flood.	32 Queste furono le famiglie dei figli di Noè, secondo la loro genealogia nelle loro nazioni.
