1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and of the sons who were born to them after the great flood.	1 Esta es la descendencia de los hijos de Noé, Sem, Cam y Jafet, a quienes les nacieron hijos después del diluvio:
2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.	2 Hijos de Jafet: Gomer, Magog, los medos, Yaván, Túbal, Mések y Tirás.
3 And then the sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.	3 Hijos de Gomer: Askanaz, Rifat, Togarmá.
4 And the sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.	4 Hijos de Yaván: Elisá, Tarsis, los Kittim y los Dodanim.
5 The islands of the Gentiles were divided by these into their regions, each one according to his tongue, and their families in their nations.	5 A partir de éstos se poblaron las islas de las gentes. 6 And the Sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Put, and Canaan.	6 Hijos de Cam: Kus, Misráyim, Put y Canaán.
7 And the sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dadan.	7 Hijos de Kus: Seba, Javilá, Sabtá, Ramá y Sabteká. Hijos de Ramá: Seba y Dedán.
8 And then Cush conceived Nimrod; he began to be powerful on the earth.	8 Kus engendró a Nemrod, que fue el primero que se hizo prepotente en la tierra.
9 And he was an able hunter before the Lord. From this, a proverb came forth: ‘Just like Nimrod, an able hunter before the Lord.’	9 Fue un bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, por lo cual se suele decir: «Bravo cazador delante de Yahveh, como Nemrod.»
10 And so, the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Erech, and Accad, and Chalanne, in the land of Shinar.	10 Los comienzos de su reino fueron Babel, Erek y Acad, ciudades todas ellas en tierra de Senaar.
11 From that land, Assur came forth, and he built Nineveh, and the streets of the city, and Calah,	11 De aquella tierra procedía Asur, que edificó Nínive, Rejobot Ir, Kálaj
12 and also Resen, between Nineveh and Calah. This is a great city.	12 y Resen, entre Nínive y Kálaj (aquella es la Gran Ciudad).
13 And truly, Mizraim conceived Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, Naphtuhim,	13 Misráyim engendró a los luditas, anamitas, lehabitas y naftujitas,
14 and Pathrusim, and Casluhim, from whom came forth the Philistines and the Caphtorim.	14 a los de Patrós, de Kasluj y de Kaftor, de donde salieron los filisteos.
15 Then Canaan conceived Sidon his firstborn, the Hittite,	15 Canaán engendró a Sidón, su primogénito, y a Het,
16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, the Girgashite,	16 al jebuseo, al amorreo, al guirgasita,
17 the Hivite, and the Arkite: the Sinite,	17 al jivita, al arqueo, al sineo,

20 These are the sons of Ham in their kindred, and tongues, and generations, and lands, and nations.	20 Estos fueron los hijos de Cam, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.
21 Likewise, from Shem, the father of all the sons of Heber, the elder brother of Japheth, sons were born.	21 También le nacieron hijos a Sem, padre de todos los hijos de Héber y hermano mayor de Jafet.
22 The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.	22 Hijos de Sem: Elam, Asur, Aparksad, Lud y Aram.
23 The sons of Aram were Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.	23 Hijos de Aram: Us, Jul, Guéter y Mas.
24 But truly, Arphaxad conceived Shelah, from whom was born Eber.	24 Arpaksad engendró a Sélaj y Sélaj engendró a Héber.
25 And to Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth became divided, and his brother’s name was Joktan.	25 A Héber le nacieron dos hijos: el nombre de uno fue Péleg, porque en sus días fue divida la tierra. Su hermano se llamaba Yoqtán.
26 This Joktan conceived Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, Jerah	26 Yoqtán engendró a Almodad, a Selef, a Jasarmávet, a Yéraj,
27 and Hadoram, and Uzal and Diklah,	27 a Hadoram, a Uzal, a Diclá,
28 and Obal and Abimael, Sheba	28 a Obal, a Abimael, a Sebá,
29 and Ophir, and Havilah and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.	29 a Ofir, a Javilá y a Yobab. Todos fueron hijos de Yoqtán.
30 And their habitation extended from Messa, as one sojourns, even to Sephar, a mountain in the east.	30 Su asiento se extendió desde Mesá, en dirección a Sefar, al monte del oriente.
31 These are the sons of Shem according to their kindred, and tongues, and the regions within their nations.	31 Estos fueron los hijos de Sem, según sus linajes y lenguas, por sus territorios y naciones respectivas.
32 These are the families of Noah, according to their peoples and nations. The nations became divided according to these, on the earth after the great flood.	32 Hasta aquí los linajes de los hijos de Noé, según su origen y sus naciones. Y a partir de ellos se dispersaron los pueblos por la tierra después del diluvio.
