Michea 6

BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ascoltate dunque ciò che dice il Signore: "Su, fa' lite con i monti e i colli ascoltino la tua voce!	1 Now listen to what Yahweh says: 'Stand up, state your case to the mountains and let the hills hear whatyou have to say!'
2 Ascoltate, o monti, il processo del Signore e porgete l'orecchio, o perenni fondamenta della terra, perché il Signore è in lite con il suo popolo, intenta causa con Israele.	2 Listen, mountains, to the case as Yahweh puts it, give ear, you foundations of the earth, for Yahweh hasa case against his people and he wil argue it with Israel.
3 Popolo mio, che cosa ti ho fatto? In che cosa ti ho stancato? Rispondimi.	3 'My people, what have I done to you, how have I made you tired of me? Answer me!
4 Forse perché ti ho fatto uscire dall'Egitto, ti ho ridi schiavitù e ho mandato davanti a te Mosè, Aronne e Maria?	4 For I brought you up from Egypt, I ransomed you from the place of slave-labour and sent Moses, Aaronand Miriam to lead you.
5 Popolo mio, ricorda le trame di Balàk re di Moab, e quello che gli rispose Bàlaam, figlio di Beor. Ricordati di quello che è avvenuto da Sittìm a Gàlgala, per riconoscere i benefici del Signore".	5 My people, please remember: what was Balak king of Moab's plan and how did Balaam son of Beoranswer him? . . . from Shittim to Gilgal, for you to know Yahweh's saving justice.
6 Con che cosa mi presenterò al Signore, mi prostrerò al Dio altissimo? Mi presenterò a lui con olocausti,con vitelli di un anno?	6 'With what shal I enter Yahweh's presence and bow down before God All-high? Shall I enter with burntofferings, with calves one year old?
7 Gradirà il Signore le migliaia di montoni e torrenti di olio a miriadi? Gli offrirò forse il mio primogenito per la mia colpa, il frutto delle mie viscere per il mio peccato?	7 Wil he be pleased with rams by the thousand, with ten thousand streams of oil? Shal I offer my eldestson for my wrong-doing, the child of my own body for my sin?
8 Uomo, ti è stato insegnato ciò che è buono e ciò che richiede il Signore da te: praticare la giustizia, amare la pietà, camminare umilmente con il tuo Dio.	8 'You have already been told what is right and what Yahweh wants of you. Only this, to do what is right,to love loyalty and to walk humbly with your God.'
9 La voce del Signore grida alla città! Ascoltate tribù e convenuti della città:	9 Yahweh's voice! He thunders to the city, 'Listen, tribe of assembled citizens!
10 Ci sono ancora nella casa dell'empio i tesori ingiustamente acquistati e le misure scarse, detestabili?	10 Can I overlook the false measure, that abomination, the short bushel?
11 Potrò io giustificare le false bilance e il sacchetto di pesi falsi?	11 Can I connive at rigged scales and at the bag of fraudulent weights?
12 I ricchi della città sono pieni di violenza e i suoi abitanti dicono menzogna.	12 For the rich there are steeped in violence, and the citizens there are habitual liars.
13 Anch'io ho cominciato a colpirti, a devastarti per i tuoi peccati.	13 'I myself have therefore begun to strike you down, to bring you to ruin for your sins.
14 Mangerai, ma non ti sazierai, e la tua fame rimarrà in te; metterai da parte, ma nulla salverai e se qualcuno salverai io lo consegnerò alla spada.	14 You wil eat but not be satisfied; you wil store up but never keep safe; what you do keep safe I shalhand over to the sword;
15 Seminerai, ma non mieterai, frangerai le olive, ma non ti ungerai d'olio; produrrai mosto, ma non berrai il vino.	15 you wil sow but wil not reap, press the olive but wil not rub yourself with oil, tread the grape but wilnot drink the wine.
16 Tu osservi gli statuti di Omri e tutte le pratiche della casa di Acab, e segui i loro propositi, perciò io farò di te una desolazione, i tuoi abitanti oggetto di scherno e subirai l'obbrobrio dei popoli.	16 'For you keep the laws of Omri; what the House of Ahab did, you have done; by model ing yourselveson their standards, you force me to make an appal ing example of you and reduce your citizens to a laughing-stock; hence you wil endure the scorn of other peoples.'
