NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 The Lamb then broke the seventh seal, and there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.	1 Quando, enfim, abriu o sétimo selo, fez-se silêncio no céu cerca de meia hora.
2 Next I saw seven trumpets being given to the seven angels who stand in the presence of God.	2 Eu vi os sete Anjos que assistem diante de Deus. Foram-lhes dadas sete trombetas.
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. A large quantity of incense wasgiven to him to offer with the prayers of al the saints on the golden altar that stood in front of the throne;	3 Adiantou-se outro anjo e pôs-se junto ao altar, com um turíbulo de ouro na mão. Foram-lhe dados muitos perfumes, para que os oferecesse com as orações de todos os santos no altar de ouro, que está adiante do trono.
4 and so from the angel's hand the smoke of the incense went up in the presence of God and with it theprayers of the saints.	4 A fumaça dos perfumes subiu da mão do anjo com as orações dos santos, diante de Deus.
5 Then the angel took the censer and fil ed it from the fire of the altar, which he then hurled down onto theearth; immediately there came peals of thunder and flashes of lightning, and the earth shook.	5 Depois disso, o anjo tomou o turíbulo, encheu-o de brasas do altar e lançou-o por terra; e houve trovões, vozes, relâmpagos e terremotos.
6 The seven angels that had the seven trumpets now made ready to sound them.	6 Então os sete Anjos, que tinham as trombetas, prepararam-se para tocar.
7 The first blew his trumpet and, with that, hail and fire, mixed with blood, were hurled on the earth: a thirdof the earth was burnt up, and a third of al trees, and every blade of grass was burnt.	7 O primeiro anjo tocou. Saraiva e fogo, misturados com sangue, foram lançados à terra; e queimou-se uma terça parte da terra, uma terça parte das árvores e toda erva verde.
8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and it was as though a great mountain blazing with fire was hurledinto the sea: a third of the sea turned into blood,	8 O segundo anjo tocou. Caiu então no mar como que grande montanha, ardendo em fogo, e transformou-se em sangue uma terça parte do mar,
9 a third of al the living things in the sea were kil ed, and a third of all ships were destroyed.	9 morreu uma terça parte das criaturas que estavam no mar e pereceu uma terça parte dos navios.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star fel from the sky, burning like a ball of fire, and it felon a third of all rivers and on the springs of water;	10 O terceiro anjo tocou a trombeta. Caiu então do céu uma grande estrela a arder como um facho; caiu sobre a terça parte dos rios e sobre as fontes.
11 this was the star called Wormwood, and a third of al water turned to wormwood, so that many peopledied; the water had become so bitter.	11 O nome da estrela era Absinto. Assim, uma terça parte das águas transformou-se em absinto e muitos homens morreram por ter bebido dessas águas envenenadas.
12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of thestars were blasted, so that the light went out of a third of them and the day lost a third of its il umination, andlikewise the night.	12 O quarto anjo tocou. Foi atingida então uma terça parte do sol, da lua e das estrelas, de modo que se obscureceram em um terço; e o dia perdeu um terço da claridade, bem como a noite.
13 In my vision, I heard an eagle, cal ing aloud as it flew high overhead, 'Disaster, disaster, disaster, onal the people on earth at the sound of the other three trumpets which the three angels have yet to blow!'	13 A esta altura de minha visão, eu ouvi uma águia que voava pelo meio dos céus, clamando em alta voz: Ai, ai, ai dos habitantes da terra, por causa dos restantes sons das trombetas dos três Anjos que ainda vão tocar.
