1 The Lamb then broke the seventh seal, and there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.	1 - E quando [l'agnello] ebbe aperto il settimo sigillo, si fece silenzio nel cielo per una mezz'ora circa.
2 Next I saw seven trumpets being given to the seven angels who stand in the presence of God.	2 E vidi i sette angeli che stavano al cospetto di Dio, e furon date loro sette trombe.
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. A large quantity of incense wasgiven to him to offer with the prayers of al the saints on the golden altar that stood in front of the throne;	3 E un altro angelo venne e si fermò all'altare, avendo un turibolo d'oro; e gli furon dati molti aromi, perchè ne impregnasse le orazioni di tutti i santi sull'altare d'oro ch'è davanti al trono di Dio.
4 and so from the angel's hand the smoke of the incense went up in the presence of God and with it theprayers of the saints.	4 E salì il fumo degli aromi, per le orazioni dei santi, dalla mano dell'angelo al cospetto di Dio.
5 Then the angel took the censer and fil ed it from the fire of the altar, which he then hurled down onto theearth; immediately there came peals of thunder and flashes of lightning, and the earth shook.	5 E l'angelo prese il turibolo e lo riempì col fuoco dell'altare e lo gettò sulla terra, e seguirono tuoni e voci e lampi e gran terremoto.
6 The seven angels that had the seven trumpets now made ready to sound them.	6 E i sette angeli che avevan le sette trombe s'accinsero a sonar le trombe.
7 The first blew his trumpet and, with that, hail and fire, mixed with blood, were hurled on the earth: a thirdof the earth was burnt up, and a third of al trees, and every blade of grass was burnt.	7 E il primo angelo diè fiato alla tromba, e venne grandine e fuoco mescolato con sangue, e furon gettati sulla terra. E la terza parte della terra fu arsa, e la terza parte degli alberi furono arsi, e ogni erba verde fu arsa.
8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and it was as though a great mountain blazing with fire was hurledinto the sea: a third of the sea turned into blood,	8 E il secondo angelo diè fiato alla tromba, e come una gran montagna ardente per fuoco fu gettata nel mare. E la terza parte del mare diventò sangue,
9 a third of al the living things in the sea were kil ed, and a third of all ships were destroyed.	9 e morì la terza parte delle creature animate che son nel mare, e la terza parte delle navi andò in rovina.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star fel from the sky, burning like a ball of fire, and it felon a third of all rivers and on the springs of water;	10 E il terzo angelo diè fiato alla tromba, e cadde dal cielo una gran stella ardente come fiaccola, e cadde sulla terza parte de' fiumi e sulle fonti delle acque.
11 this was the star called Wormwood, and a third of al water turned to wormwood, so that many peopledied; the water had become so bitter.	11 E il nome della stella si chiama «l'Assenzio»; e la terza parte delle acque si tramutò in assenzio, e molti degli uomini morirono a causa delle acque, perchè eran diventate amare.
12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of thestars were blasted, so that the light went out of a third of them and the day lost a third of its il umination, andlikewise the night.	12 E il quarto angelo diè fiato alla tromba, e fu percossa la terza parte del sole e la terza parte della luna e la terza parte delle stelle, affinchè la terza parte loro si oscurasse, e il giorno non rilucesse per la sua terza parte e similmente la notte.
13 In my vision, I heard an eagle, cal ing aloud as it flew high overhead, 'Disaster, disaster, disaster, onal the people on earth at the sound of the other three trumpets which the three angels have yet to blow!'	13 E vidi, e udii la voce di un'aquila volante in mezzo al cielo, che diceva a gran voce: «Guai, guai, guai agli abitanti sulla terra, per via degli altri squilli di tromba dei tre angeli che stan per sonare!».
