NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 The Lamb then broke the seventh seal, and there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.	1 Y cuando el Cordero abrió el séptimo sello, se produjo en el cielo un silencio, que duró alrededor de media hora.
2 Next I saw seven trumpets being given to the seven angels who stand in the presence of God.	2 En seguida, vi a los siete Angeles que estaban delante de Dios, y ellos recibieron siete trompetas.
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. A large quantity of incense wasgiven to him to offer with the prayers of al the saints on the golden altar that stood in front of the throne;	3 Y vino otro Angel que se ubicó junto al altar con un incensario de oro y recibió una gran cantidad de perfumes, para ofrecerlos junto con la oración de todos los santos, sobre el altar de oro que está delante del trono.
4 and so from the angel's hand the smoke of the incense went up in the presence of God and with it theprayers of the saints.	4 Y el humo de los perfumes, junto con las oraciones de los santos, subió desde la mano del Angel hasta la presencia de Dios.
5 Then the angel took the censer and fil ed it from the fire of the altar, which he then hurled down onto theearth; immediately there came peals of thunder and flashes of lightning, and the earth shook.	5 Después el Angel tomó el incensario, lo llenó con el fuego del altar y lo arrojó sobre la tierra. Y hubo truenos, gritos, relámpagos y un temblor de tierra.
6 The seven angels that had the seven trumpets now made ready to sound them.	6 Y los siete Angeles que tenían las siete trompetas se dispusieron a tocarlas.
7 The first blew his trumpet and, with that, hail and fire, mixed with blood, were hurled on the earth: a thirdof the earth was burnt up, and a third of al trees, and every blade of grass was burnt.	7 Cuando el primer Angel tocó la trompeta, cayó sobre la tierra granizo y fuego mezclado con sangre: la tercera parte de la tierra fue consumida, junto con la tercera parte de los árboles y toda la hierba verde.
8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and it was as though a great mountain blazing with fire was hurledinto the sea: a third of the sea turned into blood,	8 Cuando el segundo Angel tocó la trompeta, se precipitó sobre el mar una masa incandescente, grande como una montaña: la tercera parte del mar se convirtió en sangre;
9 a third of al the living things in the sea were kil ed, and a third of all ships were destroyed.	9 murió la tercera parte de los seres vivientes que habitan en sus aguas, y fue destruida la tercera parte de las naves.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star fel from the sky, burning like a ball of fire, and it felon a third of all rivers and on the springs of water;	10 Cuando el tercer Angel tocó la trompeta, un astro enorme que ardía como una antorcha cayó del cielo sobre la tercera parte de los ríos y de los manantiales.
11 this was the star called Wormwood, and a third of al water turned to wormwood, so that many peopledied; the water had become so bitter.	11 El astro se llamaba «Ajenjo». La tercera parte de las aguas se convirtió en ajenjo, y murieron muchos hombres que bebieron de esas aguas, porque se habían vuelto amargas.
12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of thestars were blasted, so that the light went out of a third of them and the day lost a third of its il umination, andlikewise the night.	12 Cuando el cuarto Angel tocó la trompeta, se oscureció la tercera parte del sol, de la luna y de las estrellas. El día perdió la tercera parte de su luz, y lo mismo sucedió con la noche.
13 In my vision, I heard an eagle, cal ing aloud as it flew high overhead, 'Disaster, disaster, disaster, onal the people on earth at the sound of the other three trumpets which the three angels have yet to blow!'	13 Y después vi y oí a un águila que volaba en el cielo y decía con voz potente: «¡Ay de los habitantes de la tierra, cuando resuenen las trompetas que ya se disponen a tocar los otros tres Angeles!».
