1 The Lamb then broke the seventh seal, and there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.	1 Quand il ouvrit le septième sceau, ce fut le silence dans le ciel pour près d’une demi-heure.
2 Next I saw seven trumpets being given to the seven angels who stand in the presence of God.	2 J’ai vu alors les sept anges qui se tiennent devant Dieu: on leur remettait sept trompettes.
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. A large quantity of incense wasgiven to him to offer with the prayers of al the saints on the golden altar that stood in front of the throne;	3 Un autre ange est venu, qui se tenait à côté de l’autel de l’encens, et on lui a remis un encensoir d’or avec beaucoup d’encens; c’étaient les prières des saints qu’il devait présenter devant Dieu sur l’autel d’or, l’autel de l’encens.
4 and so from the angel's hand the smoke of the incense went up in the presence of God and with it theprayers of the saints.	4 Et la fumée de l’encens, c’est-à-dire les prières de tous les saints, est montée vers Dieu de la main de l’ange.
5 Then the angel took the censer and fil ed it from the fire of the altar, which he then hurled down onto theearth; immediately there came peals of thunder and flashes of lightning, and the earth shook.	5 Ensuite l’ange a pris l’encensoir et l’a rempli des charbons allumés pour l’encens; puis il l’a vidé sur la terre. Alors il y a eu des coups de tonnerre, un grand vacarme et des éclairs, et la terre a tremblé.
6 The seven angels that had the seven trumpets now made ready to sound them.	6 Alors les sept anges, ceux des sept trompettes, se sont tenus prêts à les faire sonner.
7 The first blew his trumpet and, with that, hail and fire, mixed with blood, were hurled on the earth: a thirdof the earth was burnt up, and a third of al trees, and every blade of grass was burnt.	7 Coup de trompette du premier! Du feu et de la grêle mêlés de sang tombent sur la terre; le tiers de la surface de la terre en est brûlée, un tiers des arbres sont brûlés, et toute l’herbe verte est brûlée.
8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and it was as though a great mountain blazing with fire was hurledinto the sea: a third of the sea turned into blood,	8 Coup de trompette du second ange! Une énorme montagne de feu ardent est précipitée dans l’océan;
9 a third of al the living things in the sea were kil ed, and a third of all ships were destroyed.	9 le tiers des eaux de la mer est changé en sang, un tiers des êtres vivants qui sont dans la mer périssent, et un tiers des bateaux sont détruits.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star fel from the sky, burning like a ball of fire, and it felon a third of all rivers and on the springs of water;	10 Coup de trompette du troisième ange! Une grande étoile tombe du ciel tout en flammes. Elle tombe sur le tiers des eaux douces et sur les sources d’eau potable.
11 this was the star called Wormwood, and a third of al water turned to wormwood, so that many peopledied; the water had become so bitter.	11 Le nom de cette étoile est Absinthe. Le tiers des eaux se trouve changé en absinthe et beaucoup de gens meurent à cause de ces eaux devenues amères.
12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of thestars were blasted, so that the light went out of a third of them and the day lost a third of its il umination, andlikewise the night.	12 Coup de trompette du quatrième ange! Un tiers du soleil est affecté et devient obscur, et de même un tiers de la lune et le tiers des étoiles, de sorte que le jour perd un tiers de sa clarté et la nuit de même.
13 In my vision, I heard an eagle, cal ing aloud as it flew high overhead, 'Disaster, disaster, disaster, onal the people on earth at the sound of the other three trumpets which the three angels have yet to blow!'	13 Comme je restais à regarder, un aigle est passé dans les hauteurs du ciel et il a crié: "Malheur, malheur, malheur pour les habitants de la terre! quand on entendra les coups de trompette encore à venir des trois anges qui restent.”
