Revelation 8

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 The Lamb then broke the seventh seal, and there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.	1 Et lorsque l'Agneau ouvrit le septième sceau, il se fit un silence dans le ciel, environ une demi-heure...
2 Next I saw seven trumpets being given to the seven angels who stand in the presence of God.	2 Et je vis les sept Anges qui se tiennent devant Dieu; on leur remit sept trompettes.
3 Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. A large quantity of incense wasgiven to him to offer with the prayers of al the saints on the golden altar that stood in front of the throne;	3 Un autre Ange vint alors se placer près de l'autel, muni d'une pelle en or. On lui donnabeaucoup de parfums pour qu'il les offrît, avec les prières de tous les saints, sur l'autel d'or placé devant le trône.
4 and so from the angel's hand the smoke of the incense went up in the presence of God and with it theprayers of the saints.	4 Et, de la main de l'Ange, la fumée des parfums s'éleva devant Dieu, avec les prières des saints.
5 Then the angel took the censer and fil ed it from the fire of the altar, which he then hurled down onto theearth; immediately there came peals of thunder and flashes of lightning, and the earth shook.	5 Puis l'Ange saisit la pelle et l'emplit du feu de l'autel qu'il jeta sur la terre. Ce furent alors destonnerres, des voix et des éclairs, et tout trembla.
6 The seven angels that had the seven trumpets now made ready to sound them.	6 Les sept Anges aux sept trompettes s'apprêtèrent à sonner.
7 The first blew his trumpet and, with that, hail and fire, mixed with blood, were hurled on the earth: a thirdof the earth was burnt up, and a third of al trees, and every blade of grass was burnt.	7 Et le premier sonna... Il y eut alors de la grêle et du feu mêlés de sang qui furent jetés sur laterre: et le tiers de la terre fut consumé, et le tiers des arbres fut consumé, et toute herbe verte fut consumée.
8 The second angel blew his trumpet, and it was as though a great mountain blazing with fire was hurledinto the sea: a third of the sea turned into blood,	8 Et le deuxième Ange sonna... Alors une énorme masse embrasée, comme une montagne, futprojetée dans la mer, et le tiers de la mer devint du sang:
9 a third of al the living things in the sea were kil ed, and a third of all ships were destroyed.	9 il périt ainsi le tiers des créatures vivant dans la mer, et le tiers des navires fut détruit.
10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a huge star fel from the sky, burning like a ball of fire, and it felon a third of all rivers and on the springs of water;	10 Et le troisième Ange sonna... Alors tomba du ciel un grand astre, brûlant comme une torche. Iltomba sur le tiers des fleuves et sur les sources;
11 this was the star called Wormwood, and a third of al water turned to wormwood, so that many peopledied; the water had become so bitter.	11 l'astre se nomme "Absinthe": le tiers des eaux se changea en absinthe, et bien des gensmoururent, de ces eaux devenues amères.
12 The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of thestars were blasted, so that the light went out of a third of them and the day lost a third of its il umination, andlikewise the night.	12 Et le quatrième Ange sonna... Alors furent frappés le tiers du soleil et le tiers de la lune et letiers des étoiles: ils s'assombrirent d'un tiers, et le jour perdit le tiers de sa clarté, et la nuit de même.
13 In my vision, I heard an eagle, cal ing aloud as it flew high overhead, 'Disaster, disaster, disaster, onal the people on earth at the sound of the other three trumpets which the three angels have yet to blow!'	13 Et ma vision se poursuivit. J'entendis un aigle volant au zénith et criant d'une voix puissante:"Malheur, malheur, malheur aux habitants de la terre, à cause de la voix des dernières trompettes dont les troisAnges vont sonner.
