Revelation 20

NEW JERUSALEM	GREEK BIBLE
1 Then I saw an angel come down from heaven with the key of the Abyss in his hand and an enormouschain.	1 Και ειδον αγγελον καταβαινοντα εκ του ουρανου, οστις ειχε το κλειδιον της αβυσσου και αλυσιν μεγαλην εν τη χειρι αυτου.
2 He overpowered the dragon, that primeval serpent which is the devil and Satan, and chained him upfor a thousand years.	2 Και επιασε τον δρακοντα, τον οφιν τον αρχαιον, οστις ειναι Διαβολος και Σατανας, και εδεσεν αυτον χιλια ετη,
3 He hurled him into the Abyss and shut the entrance and sealed it over him, to make sure he would notlead the nations astray again until the thousand years had passed. At the end of that time he must be released,but only for a short while.	3 και ερριψεν αυτον εις την αβυσσον και εκλεισεν αυτον και εσφραγισεν επανω αυτου, δια να μη πλανηση τα εθνη πλεον, εωσου πληρωθωσι τα χιλια ετη? και μετα ταυτα πρεπει να λυθη ολιγον καιρον.
4 Then I saw thrones, where they took their seats, and on them was conferred the power to givejudgement. I saw the souls of al who had been beheaded for having witnessed for Jesus and for havingpreached God's word, and those who refused to worship the beast or his statue and would not accept the brand-mark on their foreheads or hands; they came to life, and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.	4 Και ειδον θρονους, και εκαθησαν επ ' αυτων, και κρισις εδοθη εις αυτους και ειδον τας ψυχας των πεπελεκισμενων δια την μαρτυριαν του Ιησου και δια τον λογον του Θεου, και οιτινες δεν προσεκυνησαν το θηριον ουτε την εικονα αυτου, και δεν ελαβον το χαραγμα επι το μετωπον αυτων και επι την χειρα αυτων? και εζησαν και εβασιλευσαν μετα του Χριστου τα χιλια ετη.
5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were over; this is the firstresurrection.	5 Οι δε λοιποι των νεκρων δεν ανεζησαν, εωσου πληρωθωσι τα χιλια ετη. Αυτη ειναι η αναστασις η πρωτη.
6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection; the second death has no power overthem but they wil be priests of God and of Christ and reign with him for a thousand years.	6 Μακαριος και αγιος, οστις εχει μερος εις την πρωτην αναστασιν? επι τουτων ο θανατος ο δευτερος δεν εχει εξουσιαν, αλλα θελουσιν εισθαι ιερεις του Θεου και του Χριστου και θελουσι βασιλευσει μετ' αυτου χιλια ετη.
7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison	7 Και οταν πληρωθωσι τα χιλια ετη, θελει λυθη ο Σατανας εκ της φυλακης αυτου,
8 and wil come out to lead astray all the nations in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, andmobilise them for war, his armies being as many as the sands of the sea.	8 και θελει εξελθει, δια να πλανηση τα εθνη τα εις τας τεσσαρας γωνιας της γης, τον Γωγ και τον Μαγωγ, δια να συναξη αυτους εις πολεμον, των οποιων ο αριθμος ειναι ως η αμμος της θαλασσης.
9 They came swarming over the entire country and besieged the camp of the saints, which is thebeloved City. But fire rained down on them from heaven and consumed them.	9 Και ανεβησαν επι το πλατος της γης και περιεκυκλωσαν το στρατοπεδον των αγιων και την πολιν την ηγαπημενην? και κατεβη πυρ απο του Θεου εκ του ουρανου και κατεφαγεν αυτους?
10 Then the devil, who led them astray, was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast andthe false prophet are, and their torture wil not come to an end, day or night, for ever and ever.	10 και ο διαβολος ο πλανων αυτους ερριφθη εις την λιμνην του πυρος και του θειου, οπου ειναι το θηριον και ο ψευδοπροφητης, και θελουσι βασανιζεσθαι ημεραν και νυκτα εις τους αιωνας των αιωνων.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and the One who was sitting on it. In his presence, earth and skyvanished, leaving no trace.	11 Και ειδον θρονον λευκον μεγαν και τον καθημενον επ' αυτου, απο προσωπου του οποιου εφυγεν η γη και ο ουρανος, και δεν ευρεθη τοπος δι' αυτα.
12 I saw the dead, great and smal alike, standing in front of his throne while the books lay open. Andanother book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged from what was written in thebooks, as their deeds deserved.	12 Και ειδον τους νεκρους, μικρους και μεγαλους, ισταμενους ενωπιον του Θεου, και τα βιβλια ηνοιχθησαν? και βιβλιον αλλο ηνοιχθη, το οποιον ειναι της ζωης? και εκριθησαν οι νεκροι εκ των γεγραμμενων εν τοις βιβλιοις κατα τα εργα αυτων.
13 The sea gave up all the dead who were in it;	13 Και εδωκεν η θαλασσα τους εν αυτη νεκρους, και ο θανατος και ο αδης εδωκαν τους εν αυτοις νεκρους, και εκριθησαν εκαστος κατα τα εργα αυτων.
14 Death and Hades were emptied of the dead that were in them; and every one was judged as hisdeeds deserved. Then Death and Hades were hurled into the burning lake. This burning lake is the seconddeath;	14 Και ο θανατος και ο αδης ερριφθησαν εις την λιμνην του πυρος? ουτος ειναι ο δευτερος θανατος.
15 and anybody whose name could not be found written in the book of life was hurled into the burninglake.	15 Και οστις δεν ευρεθη γεγραμμενος εν τω βιβλιω της ζωης, ερριφθη εις την λιμνην του πυρος.
