Revelation 20

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Then I saw an angel come down from heaven with the key of the Abyss in his hand and an enormouschain.	1 Luego vi que un Angel descendía del cielo, llevando en su mano la llave del Abismo y una enorme cadena.
2 He overpowered the dragon, that primeval serpent which is the devil and Satan, and chained him upfor a thousand years.	2 El capturó al Dragón, la antigua Serpiente –que es el Diablo o Satanás– y lo encadenó por mil años.
3 He hurled him into the Abyss and shut the entrance and sealed it over him, to make sure he would notlead the nations astray again until the thousand years had passed. At the end of that time he must be released,but only for a short while.	3 Después lo arrojó al Abismo, lo cerró con llave y lo selló, para que el Dragón no pudiera seducir a los pueblos paganos hasta que se cumplieran los mil años. Transcurridos esos mil años, será soltado por un breve tiempo.
4 Then I saw thrones, where they took their seats, and on them was conferred the power to givejudgement. I saw the souls of al who had been beheaded for having witnessed for Jesus and for havingpreached God's word, and those who refused to worship the beast or his statue and would not accept the brand-mark on their foreheads or hands; they came to life, and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.	4 Entonces vi unos tronos, y los que se sentaron en ellos recibieron autoridad para juzgar. También vi las almas de los que habían sido decapitados a causa del testimonio de Jesús y de la Palabra de Dios, y a todos los que no habían adorado a la Bestia ni a su imagen, ni habían recibido su marca en la frente o en la mano. Ellos revivieron y reinaron con Cristo durante mil años.
5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were over; this is the firstresurrection.	5 Esta es la primera resurrección. Y los demás muertos no pudieron revivir hasta el cumplimiento de esos mil años.
6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection; the second death has no power overthem but they wil be priests of God and of Christ and reign with him for a thousand years.	6 ¡Felices y santos, los que participan de la primera resurrección! La segunda muerte no tiene poder sobre ellos: serán sacerdotes de Dios y de Cristo, y reinarán con él durante mil años.
7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison	7 Y cuando se cumplan esos mil años, Satanás será liberado de su prisión.
8 and wil come out to lead astray all the nations in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, andmobilise them for war, his armies being as many as the sands of the sea.	8 Saldrá para seducir a los pueblos que están en los cuatro extremos de la tierra, a Gog y Magog, a fin de reunirlos para la batalla. Su número será tan grande como las arenas del mar,
9 They came swarming over the entire country and besieged the camp of the saints, which is thebeloved City. But fire rained down on them from heaven and consumed them.	9 y marcharán sobre toda la extensión de la tierra, para rodear el campamento de los santos, la Ciudad muy amada. Pero caerá fuego del cielo y los consumirá.
10 Then the devil, who led them astray, was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast andthe false prophet are, and their torture wil not come to an end, day or night, for ever and ever.	10 El Diablo, que los había seducido, será arrojado al estanque de azufre ardiente donde están también la Bestia y el falso profeta. Allí serán torturados día y noche por los siglos de los siglos.
11 Then I saw a great white throne and the One who was sitting on it. In his presence, earth and skyvanished, leaving no trace.	11 Después vi un gran trono blanco y al que estaba sentado en él. Ante su presencia, el cielo y la tierra desaparecieron sin dejar rastros.
12 I saw the dead, great and smal alike, standing in front of his throne while the books lay open. Andanother book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged from what was written in thebooks, as their deeds deserved.	12 Y vi a los que habían muerto, grandes y pequeños, de pie delante del trono. Fueron abiertos los libros, y también fue abierto el Libro de la Vida; y los que habían muerto fueron juzgados de acuerdo con el contenido de los libros; cada uno según sus obras.
13 The sea gave up all the dead who were in it;	13 El mar devolvió a los muertos que guardaba: la Muerte y el Abismo hicieron lo mismo, y cada uno fue juzgado según sus obras.
14 Death and Hades were emptied of the dead that were in them; and every one was judged as hisdeeds deserved. Then Death and Hades were hurled into the burning lake. This burning lake is the seconddeath;	14 Entonces la Muerte y el Abismo fueron arrojados al estanque de fuego, que es la segunda muerte.
15 and anybody whose name could not be found written in the book of life was hurled into the burninglake.	15 Y los que no estaban inscritos en el Libro de la Vida fueron arrojados al estanque de fuego.
