Hebrews 13

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Continue to love each other like brothers,	1 L’amor fraterno dimori fra voi. Non dimenticate l’ospitalità;
2 and remember always to welcome strangers, for by doing this, some people have entertained angelswithout knowing it.	2 perciocchè per essa alcuni albergarono già degli angeli, senza saperlo.
3 Keep in mind those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; and those who arebeing badly treated, since you too are in the body.	3 Ricordatevi de’ prigioni, come essendo lor compagni di prigione; di quelli che sono afflitti, come essendo ancora voi nel corpo.
4 Marriage must be honoured by al , and marriages must be kept undefiled, because the sexuallyimmoral and adulterers wil come under God's judgement.	4 Il matrimonio e il letto immacolato sia onorevole fra tutti; ma Iddio giudicherà i fornicatori e gli adulteri.
5 Put avarice out of your lives and be content with whatever you have; God himself has said: I shal notfail you or desert you,	5 Sieno i costumi vostri senza avarizia, essendo contenti delle cose presenti; perciocchè egli stesso ha detto: Io non ti lascerò, e non ti abbandonerò.
6 and so we can say with confidence: With the Lord on my side, I fear nothing: what can human beingsdo to me?	6 Talchè possiam dire in confidanza: Il Signore è il mio aiuto; ed io non temerò ciò che mi può far l’uomo.
7 Remember your leaders, who preached the word of God to you, and as you reflect on the outcome oftheir lives, take their faith as your model.	7 Ricordatevi de’ vostri conduttori, i quali vi hanno annunziata la parola di Dio; la cui fede imitate, considerando la fine della loro condotta.
8 Jesus Christ is the same today as he was yesterday and as he wil be for ever.	8 Gesù Cristo è lo stesso ieri, ed oggi, e in eterno.
9 Do not be led astray by al sorts of strange doctrines: it is better to rely on grace for inner strength thanon food, which has done no good to those who concentrate on it.	9 Non siate trasportati qua e là per varie e strane dottrine; perciocchè egli è bene che il cuor sia stabilito per grazia, non per vivande; dalle quali non han ricevuto alcun giovamento coloro che sono andati dietro ad esse.
10 We have our own altar from which those who serve the Tent have no right to eat.	10 Noi abbiamo un altare, del qual non hanno podestà di mangiar coloro che servono al tabernacolo.
11 The bodies of the animals whose blood is taken into the sanctuary by the high priest for the rite ofexpiation are burnt outside the camp,	11 Perciocchè i corpi degli animali, il cui sangue è portato dal sommo sacerdote dentro al santuario per lo peccato, son arsi fuori del campo.
12 and so Jesus too suffered outside the gate to sanctify the people with his own blood.	12 Perciò ancora Gesù, acciocchè santificasse il popolo per lo suo proprio sangue, ha sofferto fuor della porta.
13 Let us go to him, then, outside the camp, and bear his humiliation.	13 Usciamo adunque a lui fuor del campo, portando il suo vituperio.
14 There is no permanent city for us here; we are looking for the one which is yet to be.	14 Perciocchè noi non abbiam qui una città stabile, anzi ricerchiamo la futura.
15 Through him, let us offer God an unending sacrifice of praise, the fruit of the lips of those whoacknowledge his name.	15 Per lui adunque offeriamo del continuo a Dio sacrificii di lode, cioè: il frutto delle labbra confessanti il suo nome.
16 Keep doing good works and sharing your resources, for these are the kinds of sacrifice that pleaseGod.	16 E non dimenticate la beneficenza, e di far parte agli altri dei vostri beni; poichè per tali sacrificii si rende servigio grato a Dio.
17 Obey your leaders and give way to them; they watch over your souls because they must give anaccount of them; make this a joy for them to do, and not a grief -- you yourselves would be the losers.	17 Ubbidite a’ vostri conduttori, e sottomettetevi loro; perchè essi vegliano per le anime vostre, come avendone a render ragione; acciocchè facciano questo con allegrezza, e non sospirando; perciocchè quello non vi sarebbe d’alcun utile
18 Pray for us; we are sure that our own conscience is clear and we are certainly determined to behavehonourably in everything we do.	18 Pregate per noi; perciocchè noi ci confidiamo d’aver buona coscienza, desiderando di condurci onestamente in ogni cosa.
19 I ask you very particularly to pray that I may come back to you all the sooner.	19 E vie più vi prego di far questo, acciocchè più presto io vi sia restituito.
20 I pray that the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd ofthe sheep, by the blood that sealed an eternal covenant,	20 OR l’Iddio della pace, che ha tratto da’ morti il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, il gran Pastor delle pecore, per il sangue del patto eterno,
21 may prepare you to do his wil in every kind of good action; effecting in us al whatever is acceptableto himself through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	21 vi renda compiuti in ogni buona opera, per far la sua volontà, operando in voi ciò ch’è grato nel suo cospetto, per Gesù Cristo; al qual sia la gloria ne’ secoli de’ secoli. Amen.
22 I urge you, brothers, to take these words of encouragement kindly; that is why I have written to youbriefly.	22 Ora, fratelli, comportate, vi prego, il ragionamento dell’esortazione; poichè io vi ho scritto brevemente.
23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been set free. If he arrives in time, he will be with mewhen I see you.	23 Sappiate che il fratel Timoteo è liberato; col quale, se viene tosto, vi vedrò.
24 Greetings to al your leaders and to al God's holy people. God's holy people in Italy send yougreetings.	24 Salutate tutti i vostri conduttori, e tutti i santi. Quei d’Italia vi salutano.
