Hebrews 13

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Continue to love each other like brothers,	1 Permaneced en el amor fraterno.
2 and remember always to welcome strangers, for by doing this, some people have entertained angelswithout knowing it.	2 No os olvidéis de la hospitalidad; gracias a ella hospedaron algunos, sin saberlo, a ángeles.
3 Keep in mind those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; and those who arebeing badly treated, since you too are in the body.	3 Acordaos de los presos, como si estuvierais con ellos encarcelados, y de los maltratados, pensando que también vosotros tenéis un cuerpo.
4 Marriage must be honoured by al , and marriages must be kept undefiled, because the sexuallyimmoral and adulterers wil come under God's judgement.	4 Tened todos en gran honor el matrimonio, y el lecho conyugal sea inmaculado; que a los fornicarios y adúlteros los juzgará Dios.
5 Put avarice out of your lives and be content with whatever you have; God himself has said: I shal notfail you or desert you,	5 Sea vuestra conducta sin avaricia; contentos con lo que tenéis, pues él ha dicho: No te dejaré ni te abandonaré;
6 and so we can say with confidence: With the Lord on my side, I fear nothing: what can human beingsdo to me?	6 de modo que podamos decir confiados: El Señor es mi ayuda; no temeré. ¿Qué puede hacerme el hombre?
7 Remember your leaders, who preached the word of God to you, and as you reflect on the outcome oftheir lives, take their faith as your model.	7 Acordaos de vuestros dirigentes, que os anunciaron la Palabra de Dios y, considerando el final de su vida, imitad su fe.
8 Jesus Christ is the same today as he was yesterday and as he wil be for ever.	8 Ayer como hoy, Jesucristo es el mismo, y lo será siempre.
9 Do not be led astray by al sorts of strange doctrines: it is better to rely on grace for inner strength thanon food, which has done no good to those who concentrate on it.	9 No os dejéis seducir por doctrinas varias y extrañas. Mejor es fortalecer el corazón con la gracia que con alimentos que nada aprovecharon a los que siguieron ese camino.
10 We have our own altar from which those who serve the Tent have no right to eat.	10 Tenemos nosotros un altar del cual no tienen derecho a comer los que dan culto en la Tienda.
11 The bodies of the animals whose blood is taken into the sanctuary by the high priest for the rite ofexpiation are burnt outside the camp,	11 Los cuerpos de los animales, cuya sangre lleva el Sumo Sacerdote al santuario para la expiación del pecado, son quemados fuera del campamento.
12 and so Jesus too suffered outside the gate to sanctify the people with his own blood.	12 Por eso, también Jesús, para santificar al pueblo con su sangre, padeció fuera de la puerta.
13 Let us go to him, then, outside the camp, and bear his humiliation.	13 Así pues, salgamos donde él fuera del campamento, cargando con su oprobio;
14 There is no permanent city for us here; we are looking for the one which is yet to be.	14 que no tenemos aquí ciudad permanente, sino que andamos buscando la del futuro.
15 Through him, let us offer God an unending sacrifice of praise, the fruit of the lips of those whoacknowledge his name.	15 Ofrezcamos sin cesar, por medio de él, a Dios un sacrificio de alabanza, es decir, el fruto de los labios que celebran su nombre.
16 Keep doing good works and sharing your resources, for these are the kinds of sacrifice that pleaseGod.	16 No os olvidéis de hacer el bien y de ayudaros mutuamente; ésos son los sacrificios que agradan a Dios.
17 Obey your leaders and give way to them; they watch over your souls because they must give anaccount of them; make this a joy for them to do, and not a grief -- you yourselves would be the losers.	17 Obedeced a vuestros dirigentes y someteos a ellos, pues velan sobre vuestras almas como quienes han de dar cuenta de ellas, para que lo hagan con alegría y no lamentándose, cosa que no os traería ventaja alguna.
18 Pray for us; we are sure that our own conscience is clear and we are certainly determined to behavehonourably in everything we do.	18 Rogad por nosotros, pues estamos seguros de tener recta conciencia, deseosos de proceder en todo con rectitud.
19 I ask you very particularly to pray that I may come back to you all the sooner.	19 Con la mayor insistencia os pido que lo hagáis, para que muy pronto os sea yo devuelto.
20 I pray that the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd ofthe sheep, by the blood that sealed an eternal covenant,	20 Y el Dios de la paz que suscitó de entre los muertos a nuestro Señor Jesús, el gran Pastor de la ovejas en virtud de la sangre de una Alianza eterna,
21 may prepare you to do his wil in every kind of good action; effecting in us al whatever is acceptableto himself through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	21 os disponga con toda clase de bienes para cumplir su voluntad, realizando él en nosotros lo que es agradable a sus ojos, por mediación de Jesucristo, a quien sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
22 I urge you, brothers, to take these words of encouragement kindly; that is why I have written to youbriefly.	22 Os ruego, hermanos, que aceptéis estas palabras de exhortación, pues os he escrito brevemente.
23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been set free. If he arrives in time, he will be with mewhen I see you.	23 Sabed que nuestro hermano Timoteo ha sido liberado. Si viene pronto, iré con él a veros.
24 Greetings to al your leaders and to al God's holy people. God's holy people in Italy send yougreetings.	24 Saludad a todos vuestros dirigentes y a todos los santos. Os saludan los de Italia.
