2 Timothy 4

1 Before God and before Christ Jesus who is to be judge of the living and the dead, I charge you, in thename of his appearing and of his kingdom:	1 Ti scongiuro dinanzi a Dio, ed a Gesù Cristo, il quale giudicherà i vivi, ed i morti, per la venuta, e pel regno di lui:
2 proclaim the message and, welcome or unwelcome, insist on it. Refute falsehood, correct error, giveencouragement -- but do all with patience and with care to instruct.	2 Predica la parola, pressa a tempo, fuori di tempo: riprendi, supplica, esorta con ogni pazienza insegnando.
3 The time is sure to come when people wil not accept sound teaching, but their ears wil be itching foranything new and they wil col ect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes;	3 Imperocché verrà tempo, che non potran patire la sana dottrina, ma secondo le proprie passioni per prurito di udire moltiplicheranno a se stessi i maestri:
4 and then they will shut their ears to the truth and wil turn to myths.	4 E si ritireranno dall'ascoltare la verità, e si volgeranno alle favole.
5 But you must keep steady al the time; put up with suffering; do the work of preaching the gospel; fulfilthe service asked of you.	5 Ma tu veglia sopra tutte le cose, sopporta le afflizioni, fa' l'uffizio di predicator del vangelo, adempi il tuo ministero. Sii temperante.
6 As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, and the time has come for me to depart.	6 Imperocché io sono già alle libagioni, e il tempo del mio scioglimento è imminente.
7 I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith;	7 Ho combattuto nel buon arringo, ho terminata la corsa, ho conversata la fede.
8 al there is to come for me now is the crown of uprightness which the Lord, the upright judge, wil give tome on that Day; and not only to me but to al those who have longed for his appearing.	8 Del resto è serbata a me la corona della giustizia la quale a me renderà il Signore giusto giudice in quella giornata: né solo a me, ma anche a coloro che desiderano la sua venuta. Affrettati di venir tosto da me.
9 Make every effort to come and see me as soon as you can.	9 Imperocché Demade mi ha abbandonato per l'amore di questo secolo, e se n'è ito a Tessalonica:
10 As it is, Demas has deserted me for love of this life and gone to Thessalonica, Crescens has gone toGalatia and Titus to Dalmatia;	10 Crescente in Galazia, Tito in Dalmazia.
11 only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you; I find him a useful helper in my work.	11 Il solo Luca è con me. Prendi teco Marco, e menalo con te: imperocché egli mi è di ajuto nel ministero.
12 I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.	12 E ho spedito Tichico ad Efeso.
13 When you come, bring the cloak I left with Carpus in Troas, and the scrol s, especially the parchmentones.	13 Il pallio, che lasciai a Troade in casa di Carpo, venendo, portalo teco, e i libri, particolarmente le carta pecore.
14 Alexander the coppersmith has done me a lot of harm; the Lord wil repay him as his deeds deserve.	14 Alessandro ramaio mi ha fatto molti mali: lo ricompenserà il Signore secondo le opere sue:
15 Be on your guard against him yourself, because he has been bitterly contesting everything that we say.	15 Dal quale guardati anche tu: imperocché egli si è opposto fortemente alle nostre parole.
16 The first time I had to present my defence, no one came into court to support me. Every one of themdeserted me -- may they not be held accountable for it.	16 Nella mia prima difesa nissuno fu per me, ma tutti mi abbandonarono: non sia ad essi imputato.
17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me power, so that through me the message might be ful yproclaimed for al the gentiles to hear; and so I was saved from the lion's mouth.	17 11 Signore però mi assistè, e mi confortò affinchè sia per me compiuta la predicazione, e la odano tutte le genti: e fui liberato dalla bocca del leone.
18 The Lord will rescue me from all evil attempts on me, and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Tohim be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	18 Il Signore poi mi libererà da ogni opera mala: e mi salverà nel celeste suo regno, a cui gloria pe' secoli de' secoli. Cosi sia.
19 Greetings to Prisca and Aquila, and the family of Onesiphorus.	19 Saluta Prisca, e Aquila, e la casa di Onesiforo.
20 Erastus stayed behind at Corinth, and I left Trophimus il at Miletus.	20 Erasto restò a Corinto. E Trofimo lo lasciai malato a Mileto.
21 Make every effort to come before the winter. Greetings to you from Eubulus, Pudens, Linus, Claudiaand all the brothers.	21 Sollecita di venir da me prima del verno. Ti saluta Eubulo, e Pudente, e Lino, e Claudia, e tutti i fratelli.
22 The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.	22 Il Signor Gesù Cristo col tuo spirito. La grazia con voi. Cosi sia.
