2 Timothy 4

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Before God and before Christ Jesus who is to be judge of the living and the dead, I charge you, in thename of his appearing and of his kingdom:	1 Yo te conjuro delante de Dios y de Cristo Jesús, que ha de juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos, y en nombre de su Manifestación y de su Reino:
2 proclaim the message and, welcome or unwelcome, insist on it. Refute falsehood, correct error, giveencouragement -- but do all with patience and with care to instruct.	2 proclama la Palabra de Dios, insiste con ocasión o sin ella, arguye, reprende, exhorta, con paciencia incansable y con afán de enseñar.
3 The time is sure to come when people wil not accept sound teaching, but their ears wil be itching foranything new and they wil col ect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes;	3 Porque llegará el tiempo en que los hombres no soportarán más la sana doctrina; por el contrario, llevados por sus inclinaciones, se procurarán una multitud de maestros
4 and then they will shut their ears to the truth and wil turn to myths.	4 que les halaguen los oídos, y se apartarán de la verdad para escuchar cosas fantasiosas.
5 But you must keep steady al the time; put up with suffering; do the work of preaching the gospel; fulfilthe service asked of you.	5 Tú, en cambio, vigila atentamente, soporta todas las pruebas, realiza tu tarea como predicador del Evangelio, cumple a la perfección tu ministerio.
6 As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, and the time has come for me to depart.	6 Yo ya estoy a punto de ser derramado como una libación, y el momento de mi partida se aproxima:
7 I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith;	7 he peleado hasta el fin el buen combate, concluí mi carrera, conservé la fe.
8 al there is to come for me now is the crown of uprightness which the Lord, the upright judge, wil give tome on that Day; and not only to me but to al those who have longed for his appearing.	8 Y ya está preparada para mí la corona de justicia, que el Señor, como justo Juez, me dará en ese Día, y no solamente a mí, sino a todos los que hay aguardado con amor su Manifestación.
9 Make every effort to come and see me as soon as you can.	9 Ven a verme lo más pronto posible,
10 As it is, Demas has deserted me for love of this life and gone to Thessalonica, Crescens has gone toGalatia and Titus to Dalmatia;	10 porque Demas me ha abandonado por amor a este mundo. El se fue a Tesalónica, Crescente emprendió viaje a Galacia, y Tito, a Dalmacia.
11 only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you; I find him a useful helper in my work.	11 Solamente Lucas se ha quedado conmigo. Trae contigo a Marcos, porque me prestará buenos servicios.
12 I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.	12 A Tíquico lo envié a Efeso.
13 When you come, bring the cloak I left with Carpus in Troas, and the scrol s, especially the parchmentones.	13 Cuando vengas, tráeme la capa que dejé en Tróade, en la casa de Carpo, y también los libros, sobre todo, los rollos de pergamino.
14 Alexander the coppersmith has done me a lot of harm; the Lord wil repay him as his deeds deserve.	14 Alejandro, el herrero, me ha hecho mucho daño: el Señor le pagará conforme a sus obras.
15 Be on your guard against him yourself, because he has been bitterly contesting everything that we say.	15 Ten cuidado de él, porque se opuesto encarnizadamente a nuestra enseñanza.
16 The first time I had to present my defence, no one came into court to support me. Every one of themdeserted me -- may they not be held accountable for it.	16 Cuando hice mi primera defensa, nadie me acompañó, sino que todos me abandonaron. ¡Ojalá que no les sea tenido en cuenta!
17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me power, so that through me the message might be ful yproclaimed for al the gentiles to hear; and so I was saved from the lion's mouth.	17 Pero el Señor estuvo a mi lado, dándome fuerzas, para que el mensaje fuera proclamado por mi intermedio y llegara a oídos de todos los paganos. Así fui librado de la boca del león.
18 The Lord will rescue me from all evil attempts on me, and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Tohim be glory for ever and ever. Amen.	18 El Señor me librará de todo mal y me preservará hasta que entre en su Reino celestial. ¡A él sea la gloria por los siglos de los siglos! Amén.
19 Greetings to Prisca and Aquila, and the family of Onesiphorus.	19 Saludos a Prisca y a Aquila, y a la familia de Onesíforo.
