Philippians 4

1 So then, my brothers and dear friends whom I miss so much, my joy and my crown, hold firm in theLord, dear friends.	1 Pertanto, o fratelli, miei carissimi e desideratissimi, mia gioia e mia corona, state in questo modo saldi nel Signore, o amatissimi.
2 I urge Euodia, and I urge Syntyche to come to agreement with each other in the Lord;	2 Prego Evodia e scongiuro Sintiche ad essere di un medesimo sentimento nel Signore,
3 and I ask you, Syzygus, real y to be a 'partner' and help them. These women have struggled hard for thegospel with me, along with Clement and al my other fel ow-workers, whose names are written in the book of life.	3 e mi raccomando anche a te, o fedele compagno, di porgere la mano a queste che hanno combattuto con me per il vangelo, con Clemente e cogli altri miei collaboratori, i nomi dei quali sono nel libro della vita.
4 Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful.	4 State sempre allegri nel Signore, lo ripeto, state allegri.
5 Let your good sense be obvious to everybody. The Lord is near.	5 La vostra modestia sia nota a tutti gli uomini: il Signore è vicino.
6 Never worry about anything; but tel God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shotthrough with gratitude,	6 Non vi affannate per niente, ma in ogni cosa siano le vostre petizioni presentate a Dio con preghiere e suppliche unite a rendimento di grazie.
7 and the peace of God which is beyond our understanding wil guard your hearts and your thoughts inChrist Jesus.	7 E la pace di Dio, che sorpassa ogni intelligenza, custodisca i vostri cuori e le vostre menti in Cristo Gesù.
8 Finally, brothers, let your minds be fil ed with everything that is true, everything that is honourable,everything that is upright and pure, everything that we love and admire -- with whatever is good andpraiseworthy.	8 Del rimanente, o fratelli, tutto quello che è vero, tutto quello che è puro, tutto quello che è giusto, tutto quello che è santo, tutto quello che è amabile, tutto quello che dà buona fama, se v'è qualche virtù o qualche lodevole disciplina, sia oggetto dei vostri pensieri.
9 Keep doing everything you learnt from me and were told by me and have heard or seen me doing. Thenthe God of peace will be with you.	9 Quello che da me avete imparato e ricevuto e udito, e in me avete veduto, fatelo: e il Dio della pace sarà con voi.
10 As for me, I am full of joy in the Lord, now that at last your consideration for me has blossomed again;though I recognise that you really did have consideration before, but had no opportunity to show it.	10 Mi sono grandemente rallegrato nel Signore che finalmente una volta sono rifioriti i vostri sentimenti verso di me; li avete sempre avuti, ma vi mancava l'opportunità di manifestarli.
11 I do not say this because I have lacked anything; I have learnt to manage with whatever I have.	11 Non vi parlo così perchè mi trovi nel bisogno; ho bene imparato ad essere contento nella condizione in cui mi trovo.
12 I know how to live modestly, and I know how to live luxuriously too: in every way now I have masteredthe secret of al conditions: ful stomach and empty stomach, plenty and poverty.	12 So vivere nell'umiliazione e nell'abbondanza, in tutto e per tutto mi sono abituato ad essere sazio, a patir la fame, ad essere nell'abbondanza come nella penuria.
13 There is nothing I cannot do in the One who strengthens me.	13 Io posso tutto in Colui che è mio conforto.
14 Al the same, it was good of you to share with me in my hardships.	14 Però avete fatto bene a prendere parte alla mia tribolazione.
15 In the early days of the gospel, as you of Philippi wel know, when I left Macedonia, no church otherthan yourselves made common account with me in the matter of expenditure and receipts. You were the onlyones;	15 E voi ben lo sapete, o Filippesi, che da quando cominciai a predicare il Vangelo, da quando partii dalla Macedonia, nessuna Chiesa ebbe che fare con me riguardo al dare ed all'avere, eccettuata la vostra;
16 and what is more, you have twice sent me what I needed in Thessalonica.	16 infatti anche a Tessalonica mi mandaste una e due volte di che sovvenire ai miei bisogni.
17 It is not the gift that I value most; what I value is the interest that is mounting up in your account.	17 Non che io cerchi il dono, ma cerco il frutto abbondante a conto vostro.
18 I have al that I need and more: I am ful y provided, now that I have received from Epaphroditus theoffering that you sent, a pleasing smel , the sacrifice which is acceptable and pleasing to God.	18 Ho ricevuto tutto e sono nell'abbondanza; sono del tutto provvisto, avendo ricevuto da Epafrodito quello che mi avete mandato, odore soave, ostia accetta, gradita a Dio.
19 And my God will fulfil al your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.	19 Or il mio Dio compia tutti i vostri desideri, secondo le sue ricchezze colla gloria in Cristo Gesù.
20 And so glory be to God our Father, for ever and ever. Amen.	20 A Dio e Padre nostro sia gloria nei secoli dei secoli. Così sia.
21 My greetings to every one of God's holy people in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me sendyou their greetings.	21 Salutatemi a uno a uno i santi in Cristo Gesù.
22 Al God's holy people send you their greetings, especially those of Caesar's household.	22 Vi salutano i fratelli che sono con me. Vi salutano tutti i santi e specialmente quelli della casa di Cesare.
23 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.	23 La grazia del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo sia con lo spirito vostro. Così sia.
