Philippians 4

1 So then, my brothers and dear friends whom I miss so much, my joy and my crown, hold firm in theLord, dear friends.	1 - Per conseguenza, o fratelli miei cari e desideratissimi, allegrezza e corona mia rimanete così fermi nel Signore, o carissimi.
2 I urge Euodia, and I urge Syntyche to come to agreement with each other in the Lord;	2 Io esorto Evodìa ed esorto Sintìche ad avere gli stessi sentimenti nel Signore;
3 and I ask you, Syzygus, real y to be a 'partner' and help them. These women have struggled hard for thegospel with me, along with Clement and al my other fel ow-workers, whose names are written in the book of life.	3 e scongiuro anche te, o vero compagno, porgi aiuto a costoro che con me combatterono insieme per il Vangelo; assieme anche con Clemente, e gli altri miei cooperatori, i cui nomi son nel libro della vita.
4 Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful.	4 Siate lieti sempre nel Signore; lo ripeto, siate lieti.
5 Let your good sense be obvious to everybody. The Lord is near.	5 La vostra modestia sia nota a tutti gli uomini; il Signore è vicino.
6 Never worry about anything; but tel God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shotthrough with gratitude,	6 Non angustiatevi di nulla, ma in ogni cosa siano manifestate le vostre domande a Dio, con preghiere e suppliche, accompagnate da rendimento di grazie.
7 and the peace of God which is beyond our understanding wil guard your hearts and your thoughts inChrist Jesus.	7 E la pace di Dio che sorpassa ogni intendimento, custodirà i vostri cuori e i vostri pensieri in Cristo Gesù.
8 Finally, brothers, let your minds be fil ed with everything that is true, everything that is honourable,everything that is upright and pure, everything that we love and admire -- with whatever is good andpraiseworthy.	8 Del resto, o fratelli, tutte le cose che son vere, tutte le cose degne, tutte le cose giuste, tutte le cose pure, tutte le cose amabili, tutto quel che è di buona fama, se v'è qualche virtù e qualche lode, a questo pensate:
9 Keep doing everything you learnt from me and were told by me and have heard or seen me doing. Thenthe God of peace will be with you.	9 e quel che avete imparato e ricevuto e udito e visto in me, fatelo: e il Dio della pace sarà con voi.
10 As for me, I am full of joy in the Lord, now that at last your consideration for me has blossomed again;though I recognise that you really did have consideration before, but had no opportunity to show it.	10 Mi sono poi grandemente rallegrato nel Signore, che finalmente siete rifioriti nel pensare a me; ci pensavate sì, ma vi mancava l'occasione di manifestarlo.
11 I do not say this because I have lacked anything; I have learnt to manage with whatever I have.	11 Non che io parli così per rispetto alla penuria in cui mi trovo, perchè io ho imparato a bastare a me con le cose che mi trovo ad avere.
12 I know how to live modestly, and I know how to live luxuriously too: in every way now I have masteredthe secret of al conditions: ful stomach and empty stomach, plenty and poverty.	12 So anche esser povero, e so essere ricco, (in tutto e per tutto mi sono abituato), e ad essere sazio e ad aver fame, a nuotar nell'abbondanza e a patir nelle privazioni.
13 There is nothing I cannot do in the One who strengthens me.	13 Ogni cosa io posso in Colui che mi dà forza.
14 Al the same, it was good of you to share with me in my hardships.	14 Però avete fatto bene a prender parte alle mie tribolazioni.
15 In the early days of the gospel, as you of Philippi wel know, when I left Macedonia, no church otherthan yourselves made common account with me in the matter of expenditure and receipts. You were the onlyones;	15 Sapete bene anche voi, o Filippesi, che al principio della predicazione evangelica, quando venni via dalla Macedonia, nessuna chiesa ebbe con me comunione di conto del dare e del ricevere, eccetto voi soli,
16 and what is more, you have twice sent me what I needed in Thessalonica.	16 poichè anche a Tessalonica e una volta e due volte avete spedito per i miei bisogni.
17 It is not the gift that I value most; what I value is the interest that is mounting up in your account.	17 Non che io cerchi il dono, ma cerco il frutto abbondante pel conto vostro.
18 I have al that I need and more: I am ful y provided, now that I have received from Epaphroditus theoffering that you sent, a pleasing smel , the sacrifice which is acceptable and pleasing to God.	18 Or io ho tutto ricevuto e sono nell'abbondanza; e fui provvisto avendo ricevuto da Epafrodito ciò che mi veniva da voi, odore di soavità, ostia accetta, gradita a Dio.
19 And my God will fulfil al your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.	19 E il mio Dio sazierà tutti i vostri bisogni, secondo la sua ricchezza, e gloriosamente in Cristo Gesù.
20 And so glory be to God our Father, for ever and ever. Amen.	20 A Dio nostro Padre sia gloria nei secoli. Amen.
21 My greetings to every one of God's holy people in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me sendyou their greetings.	21 Salutate ognuno dei santi in Cristo Gesù.
22 Al God's holy people send you their greetings, especially those of Caesar's household.	22 Voi salutano i fratelli che son con me. E vi salutano tutti i santi, massime quelli della casa di Cesare.
23 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.	23 La grazia del Signore Gesù Cristo sia con lo spirito vostro!
