Philippians 4

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 So then, my brothers and dear friends whom I miss so much, my joy and my crown, hold firm in theLord, dear friends.	1 Por tanto, hermanos míos queridos y añorados, mi gozo y mi corona, manteneos así firmes en el Señor, queridos.
2 I urge Euodia, and I urge Syntyche to come to agreement with each other in the Lord;	2 Ruego a Evodia, lo mismo que a Síntique, tengan un mismo sentir en el Señor.
3 and I ask you, Syzygus, real y to be a 'partner' and help them. These women have struggled hard for thegospel with me, along with Clement and al my other fel ow-workers, whose names are written in the book of life.	3 También te ruego a ti, Sícigo, verdadero «compañero», que las ayudes, ya que lucharon por el Evangelio a mi lado, lo mismo que Clemente y demás colaboradores míos, cuyos nombres están en el libro de la vida.
4 Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful.	4 Estad siempre alegres en el Señor; os lo repito, estad alegres.
5 Let your good sense be obvious to everybody. The Lord is near.	5 Que vuestra mesura sea conocida de todos los hombres. El Señor está cerca.
6 Never worry about anything; but tel God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shotthrough with gratitude,	6 No os inquietéis por cosa alguna; antes bien, en toda ocasión, presentad a Dios vuestras peticiones, mediante la oración y la súplica, acompañadas de la acción de gracias.
7 and the peace of God which is beyond our understanding wil guard your hearts and your thoughts inChrist Jesus.	7 Y la paz de Dios, que supera todo conocimiento, custodiará vuestros corazones y vuestros pensamientos en Cristo Jesús.
8 Finally, brothers, let your minds be fil ed with everything that is true, everything that is honourable,everything that is upright and pure, everything that we love and admire -- with whatever is good andpraiseworthy.	8 Por lo demás, hermanos, todo cuanto hay de verdadero, de noble, de justo, de puro, de amable, de honorable, todo cuanto sea virtud y cosa digna de elogio, todo eso tenedlo en cuenta.
9 Keep doing everything you learnt from me and were told by me and have heard or seen me doing. Thenthe God of peace will be with you.	9 Todo cuanto habéis aprendido y recibido y oído y visto en mí, ponedlo por obra y el Dios de la paz estará con vosotros.
10 As for me, I am full of joy in the Lord, now that at last your consideration for me has blossomed again;though I recognise that you really did have consideration before, but had no opportunity to show it.	10 Me alegré mucho en el Señor de que ya al fin hayan florecido vuestros buenos sentimientos para conmigo. Ya los teníais, sólo que os faltaba ocasión de manifestarlos.
11 I do not say this because I have lacked anything; I have learnt to manage with whatever I have.	11 No lo digo movido por la necesidad, pues he aprendido a contentarme con lo que tengo.
12 I know how to live modestly, and I know how to live luxuriously too: in every way now I have masteredthe secret of al conditions: ful stomach and empty stomach, plenty and poverty.	12 Sé andar escaso y sobrado. Estoy avezado a todo y en todo: a la saciedad y al hambre; a la abundancia y a la privación.
13 There is nothing I cannot do in the One who strengthens me.	13 Todo lo puedo en Aquel que me conforta.
14 Al the same, it was good of you to share with me in my hardships.	14 En todo caso, hicisteis bien en compartir mi tribulación.
15 In the early days of the gospel, as you of Philippi wel know, when I left Macedonia, no church otherthan yourselves made common account with me in the matter of expenditure and receipts. You were the onlyones;	15 Y sabéis también vosotros, filipenses, que en el comienzo de la evangelización, cuando salí de Macedonia, ninguna Iglesia me abrió cuentas de «haber y debe», sino vosotros solos.
16 and what is more, you have twice sent me what I needed in Thessalonica.	16 Pues incluso cuando estaba yo en Tesalónica enviasteis por dos veces con que atender a mi necesidad.
17 It is not the gift that I value most; what I value is the interest that is mounting up in your account.	17 No es que yo busque el don; sino que busco que aumenten los intereses en vuestra cuenta.
18 I have al that I need and more: I am ful y provided, now that I have received from Epaphroditus theoffering that you sent, a pleasing smel , the sacrifice which is acceptable and pleasing to God.	18 Tengo cuanto necesito, y me sobra; nado en la abundancia después de haber recibido de Epafrodrito lo que me habéis enviado, suave aroma, sacrificio que Dios acepta con agrado.
19 And my God will fulfil al your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.	19 Y mi Dios proveerá a todas vuestras necesidades con magnificencia, conforme a su riqueza, en Cristo Jesús.
20 And so glory be to God our Father, for ever and ever. Amen.	20 Y a Dios, nuestro Padre, la gloria por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
21 My greetings to every one of God's holy people in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me sendyou their greetings.	21 Saludad a todos los santos en Cristo Jesús. Os saludan los hermanos que están conmigo.
22 Al God's holy people send you their greetings, especially those of Caesar's household.	22 Os saludan todos los Santos, especialmente los de la Casa del César.
23 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.	23 La gracia del Señor Jesucristo sea con vuestro espíritu.
