Philippians 4

1 So then, my brothers and dear friends whom I miss so much, my joy and my crown, hold firm in theLord, dear friends.	1 Pertanto, miei fratelli diletti e desiderati, mio gaudio e mia corona, perseverate così nel Signore, o diletti.
2 I urge Euodia, and I urge Syntyche to come to agreement with each other in the Lord;	2 Raccomando a Evodia ed esorto Sintiche a vivere in buona armonia nel Signore.
3 and I ask you, Syzygus, real y to be a 'partner' and help them. These women have struggled hard for thegospel with me, along with Clement and al my other fel ow-workers, whose names are written in the book of life.	3 Prego caldamente anche te, o sincero Sizigo, di aiutarle, perché hanno strenuamente lottato con me, per il vangelo, insieme a Clemente e ai restanti miei collaboratori, i cui nomi sono scritti nel libro della vita.
4 Always be joyful, then, in the Lord; I repeat, be joyful.	4 Siate sempre allegri nel Signore. Ve lo ripeto: siate allegri.
5 Let your good sense be obvious to everybody. The Lord is near.	5 La vostra amabilità sia conosciuta da tutti gli uomini. Il Signore è vicino.
6 Never worry about anything; but tel God all your desires of every kind in prayer and petition shotthrough with gratitude,	6 Non angustiatevi in nulla, ma in ogni necessità, con la supplica e con la preghiera di ringraziamento, manifestate le vostre richieste a Dio.
7 and the peace of God which is beyond our understanding wil guard your hearts and your thoughts inChrist Jesus.	7 Allora la pace di Dio, che sorpassa ogni preoccupazione umana, veglierà, in Cristo Gesù, sui vostri cuori e sui vostri pensieri.
8 Finally, brothers, let your minds be fil ed with everything that is true, everything that is honourable,everything that is upright and pure, everything that we love and admire -- with whatever is good andpraiseworthy.	8 Per il resto, fratelli, quanto c'è di vero, nobile, giusto, puro, amabile, lodevole; quanto c'è di virtuoso e merita plauso, questo attiri la vostra attenzione.
9 Keep doing everything you learnt from me and were told by me and have heard or seen me doing. Thenthe God of peace will be with you.	9 Mettete in pratica quello che avete imparato, ricevuto, udito e visto in me. E il Dio della pace sarà con voi.
10 As for me, I am full of joy in the Lord, now that at last your consideration for me has blossomed again;though I recognise that you really did have consideration before, but had no opportunity to show it.	10 Mi sono molto rallegrato nel Signore a vedere finalmente rifiorire i vostri sentimenti per me; certamente li coltivavate anche prima, ma vi mancava l'occasione.
11 I do not say this because I have lacked anything; I have learnt to manage with whatever I have.	11 Io non parlo spinto dal bisogno: ho imparato infatti a bastare a me stesso in qualunque condizione mi trovi.
12 I know how to live modestly, and I know how to live luxuriously too: in every way now I have masteredthe secret of al conditions: ful stomach and empty stomach, plenty and poverty.	12 So privarmi ed essere nell'abbondanza. In ogni tempo e in tutti i modi, sono stato iniziato ad essere sazio e a soffrire la fame, a vivere nell'agiatezza e nelle privazioni.
13 There is nothing I cannot do in the One who strengthens me.	13 Tutto posso in Colui che mi dà forza.
14 Al the same, it was good of you to share with me in my hardships.	14 Ciò nonostante avete fatto bene a condividere le mie tribolazioni.
15 In the early days of the gospel, as you of Philippi wel know, when I left Macedonia, no church otherthan yourselves made common account with me in the matter of expenditure and receipts. You were the onlyones;	15 Proprio voi, Filippesi, sapete che all'inizio dell'evangelizzazione, quando lasciai la Macedonia, nessuna chiesa aprì un conto con me di dare e di ricevere, eccetto voi soli,
16 and what is more, you have twice sent me what I needed in Thessalonica.	16 e che una o due volte, mentre ero a Tessalonica, avete provveduto alle mie necessità.
17 It is not the gift that I value most; what I value is the interest that is mounting up in your account.	17 Io non cerco il dono; cerco piuttosto il frutto che si accresce sul vostro conto.
18 I have al that I need and more: I am ful y provided, now that I have received from Epaphroditus theoffering that you sent, a pleasing smel , the sacrifice which is acceptable and pleasing to God.	18 Ricevo tutto e sto nell'abbondanza: sono ricolmo avendo avuto da Epafrodito i vostri doni, profumo soave, sacrificio gradito, che piace a Dio.
19 And my God will fulfil al your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.	19 Il mio Dio soddisferà ogni vostro bisogno in proporzione della sua ricchezza, in Cristo Gesù.
20 And so glory be to God our Father, for ever and ever. Amen.	20 A Dio e Padre nostro gloria nei secoli dei secoli. Amen.
21 My greetings to every one of God's holy people in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me sendyou their greetings.	21 Salutate ciascun santo in Cristo Gesù; vi salutano i fratelli che sono con me.
22 Al God's holy people send you their greetings, especially those of Caesar's household.	22 Vi salutano tutti i santi, in modo particolare quelli della casa di Cesare.
23 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.	23 La grazia del Signore Gesù Cristo sia col vostro spirito.
