Philippians 2

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 So if in Christ there is anything that will move you, any incentive in love, any fel owship in the Spirit, anywarmth or sympathy -- I appeal to you,	1 Ha tehát ér valamit a Krisztusban adott buzdítás, a szeretetből fakadó intelem, a lelki közösség, az együttérzés és a könyörület,
2 make my joy complete by being of a single mind, one in love, one in heart and one in mind.	2 tegyétek teljessé örömömet azzal, hogy egyetértők vagytok, ugyanazon szeretet van bennetek, és együttérezve ugyanarra törekedtek.
3 Nothing is to be done out of jealousy or vanity; instead, out of humility of mind everyone should givepreference to others,	3 Ne tegyetek semmit versengésből, sem hiú dicsőségvágyból, hanem mindenki alázatosan tekintse a másikat maga fölött állónak.
4 everyone pursuing not selfish interests but those of others.	4 Egyiktek se tartsa csak a maga érdekét szem előtt, hanem a másokét is.
5 Make your own the mind of Christ Jesus:	5 Ugyanazt az érzést ápoljátok magatokban, amely Krisztus Jézusban is megvolt,
6 Who, being in the form of God, did not count equality with God something to be grasped.	6 aki, bár Isten alakjában létezett, nem tartotta Istennel való egyenlőségét olyan dolognak, amelyhez mint zsákmányhoz ragaszkodnia kell,
7 But he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, becoming as human beings are; and being in everyway like a human being,	7 hanem kiüresítette önmagát, szolgai alakot vett fel, és hasonló lett az emberekhez, külsejét tekintve úgy jelent meg, mint egy ember.
8 he was humbler yet, even to accepting death, death on a cross.	8 Megalázta magát, engedelmes lett a halálig, mégpedig a kereszthalálig.
9 And for this God raised him high, and gave him the name which is above al other names;	9 Ezért Isten felmagasztalta őt, és olyan nevet adott neki, amely minden más név fölött van,
10 so that al beings in the heavens, on earth and in the underworld, should bend the knee at the name ofJesus	10 hogy Jézus nevére hajoljon meg minden térd az égben, a földön és az alvilágban,
11 and that every tongue should acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, to the glory of God the Father.	11 és minden nyelv vallja, hogy »Jézus Krisztus az Úr!« az Atyaisten dicsőségére.
12 So, my dear friends, you have always been obedient; your obedience must not be limited to timeswhen I am present. Now that I am absent it must be more in evidence, so work out your salvation in fear andtrembling.	12 Így tehát, kedveseim, amint mindig is engedelmesek voltatok, munkáljátok üdvösségeteket félelemmel és rettegéssel, nemcsak úgy, ahogy jelenlétemben tettétek, hanem még sokkal inkább most, a távollétemben.
13 It is God who, for his own generous purpose, gives you the intention and the powers to act.	13 Mert Isten az, aki bennetek az akarást és a véghezvitelt egyaránt műveli jóakarata szerint.
14 Let your behaviour be free of murmuring and complaining	14 Tegyetek meg mindent zúgolódás és habozás nélkül,
15 so that you remain faultless and pure, unspoilt children of God surrounded by a deceitful andunderhand brood, shining out among them like bright stars in the world,	15 hogy kifogástalanok és tiszták, Isten feddhetetlen fiai legyetek a gonosz és romlott nemzedék között , akik között ragyogtok, mint csillagok a mindenségben.
16 proffering to it the Word of life. Then I shall have reason to be proud on the Day of Christ, for it wil notbe for nothing that I have run the race and toiled so hard.	16 Ragaszkodjatok az élet igéjéhez, hogy meglegyen a dicsőségem Krisztus napján, hogy nem futottam hiába, és nem fáradtam eredménytelenül .
17 Indeed, even if my blood has to be poured as a libation over your sacrifice and the offering of yourfaith, then I shal be glad and join in your rejoicing-	17 Sőt, ha italáldozatul véremet kiontják is a ti hitetek istentiszteleti áldozatára, örülök és együtt örvendezem mindnyájatokkal.
18 and in the same way, you must be glad and join in my rejoicing.	18 Hasonlóképpen ti is örüljetek, és velem együtt örvendezzetek.
19 I hope, in the Lord Jesus, to send Timothy to you soon, so that my mind may be set at rest when I hearhow you are.	19 Remélem az Úr Jézusban, hogy Timóteust hamarosan hozzátok küldhetem, hogy én is megnyugodjam, ha értesülök dolgaitokról.
20 There is nobody else that I can send who is like him and cares as sincerely for your well-being;	20 Senkim sincs ugyanis, aki lélekben annyira hozzám hasonló volna és olyan őszintén szívén viselné ügyeteket.
21 they al want to work for themselves, not for Jesus Christ.	21 Hiszen mindenki a maga dolgával törődik, és nem Jézus Krisztuséval.
22 But you know what sort of person he has proved himself, working with me for the sake of the gospellike a son with his father.	22 Megbízhatóságát ismeritek, hiszen mint a gyermek apjának, úgy végezte velem a szolgálatot az evangéliumért.
23 That is the man, then, that I am hoping to send to you immediately I can make out what is going tohappen to me;	23 Remélem tehát, hogy elküldhetem őt, mihelyt látom, hogy merre fordulnak ügyeim.
24 but I am confident in the Lord that I shal come myself, too, before long.	24 Sőt, bízom az Úrban, hogy magam is hamarosan el tudok menni.
25 Nevertheless I thought it essential to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fel ow-worker andcompanion-in-arms since he came as your representative to look after my needs;	25 Szükségesnek tartottam, hogy Epafroditosz testvért, társamat a munkában és a küzdelemben, aki mint a ti küldöttetek, szükségemben szolgálatomra volt, hozzátok küldjem,
26 because he was missing you al and was worrying because you had heard that he was il .	26 mert kívánkozott mindnyájatok után, és bánkódott azon, hogy hírét hallottátok betegségének.
27 Indeed he was seriously il and nearly died; but God took pity on him -- and not only on him but also onme, to spare me one grief on top of another.	27 Bizony, halálosan beteg volt, Isten azonban megkönyörült rajta, de nemcsak rajta, hanem rajtam is, nehogy bánatra bánat érjen.
28 So I am sending him back as promptly as I can so that you wil have the joy of seeing him again, andthat wil be some comfort to me in my distress.	28 Annál gyorsabban küldtem tehát őt, hogy újból örüljetek, ha viszontlátjátok, és ne bánkódjam én sem.
29 Welcome him in the Lord, then, with al joy; hold people like him in honour,	29 Fogadjátok tehát őt az Úrban teljes örömmel, és becsüljétek meg az ilyen férfiakat!
30 because it was for Christ's work that he came so near to dying, risking his life to do the duty to mewhich you could not do yourselves.	30 Hiszen ő Krisztus ügye miatt került közel a halálhoz, s kockára tette életét, hogy pótolja az irányomban végzett szolgálatban azt, amit ti nem teljesíthettetek.
