1 It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, immorality of a kind that is not foundeven among gentiles: that one of you is living with his stepmother.	1 Vous faites surtout parler de vous par une affaire de mœurs, une affaire de mœurs comme on n’en trouve pas, même chez les païens: quelqu’un vit avec la femme de son père.
2 And you so fil ed with your own self-importance! It would have been better if you had been grievingbitterly, so that the man who has done this thing were turned out of the community.	2 Et vous êtes fiers! Vous feriez mieux de prendre le deuil et d’expulser celui qui a fait cela.
3 For my part, however distant I am physical y, I am present in spirit and have already condemned theman who behaved in this way, just as though I were present in person.	3 Sachez donc que j’ai jugé le coupable comme si j’étais présent - car je suis absent de corps mais présent par l’esprit.
4 When you have gathered together in the name of our Lord Jesus, with the presence of my spirit, and inthe power of our Lord Jesus,	4 Vous allez vous réunir, vous et mon esprit, au nom de Jésus notre Seigneur et avec sa puissance;
5 hand such a man over to Satan, to be destroyed as far as natural life is concerned, so that on the Dayof the Lord his spirit may be saved.	5 et vous allez le livrer à Satan pour que tous les fléaux tombent sur lui, mais que son esprit soit sauvé au jour du Seigneur.
6 Your self-satisfaction is il founded. Do you not realise that only a little yeast leavens the whole batch ofdough?	6 Vous pouvez vous vanter! Ne savez-vous pas qu’un peu de levain fait lever toute la pâte?
7 Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passoverhas been sacrificed, that is, Christ;	7 Dehors le vieux levain, purifiez-vous! Et soyez une pâte neuve, car le Christ est notre victime pascale et vous êtes le pain sans levain!
8 let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but onlythe unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	8 Donc plus de vieux levain, levain du mal et du vice, mais célébrez la fête avec le pain sans levain, c’est-à-dire la pureté et la vérité.
9 In my letter, I wrote to you that you should have nothing to do with people living immoral lives.	9 Dans ma lettre je vous ai dit de ne pas fréquenter les gens de mauvaise conduite.
10 I was not including everybody in this present world who is sexually immoral, or everybody who isgreedy, or dishonest or worships false gods -- that would mean you would have to cut yourselves off completelyfrom the world.	10 Je ne parlais pas des non-chrétiens qui pratiquent la liberté sexuelle, ou qui veulent avoir toujours plus, ou qui profitent des autres ou qui adorent les idoles; sinon vous devriez sortir de ce monde.
11 In fact what I meant was that you were not to have anything to do with anyone going by the name ofbrother who is sexual y immoral, or is greedy, or worships false gods, or is a slanderer or a drunkard ordishonest; never even have a meal with anybody of that kind.	11 Je vous disais de ne plus fréquenter celui qui porte le nom de frère mais qui de fait pratique la liberté sexuelle, ou qui veut en avoir toujours plus, ou qui est un calomniateur, ou un buveur ou qui profite des autres. Ne mangez même pas avec lui.
12 It is no concern of mine to judge outsiders. It is for you to judge those who are inside, is it not?	12 Je n’ai pas à juger ceux du dehors, mais ceux qui sont à l’intérieur, n’est-ce pas à vous de les juger?
13 But outsiders are for God to judge. You must banish this evil-doer from among you.	13 Ceux du dehors, Dieu les jugera, mais vous, enlevez le mauvais d’au milieu de vous.
