1 Corinthians 5

1 It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, immorality of a kind that is not foundeven among gentiles: that one of you is living with his stepmother.	1 Ouve-se dizer constantemente que se comete, em vosso meio, a luxúria, e uma luxúria tão grave que não se costuma encontrar nem mesmo entre os pagãos: há entre vós quem vive com a mulher de seu pai!...
2 And you so fil ed with your own self-importance! It would have been better if you had been grievingbitterly, so that the man who has done this thing were turned out of the community.	2 E continuais cheios de orgulho, em vez de manifestardes tristeza, para que seja tirado dentre vós o que cometeu tal ação!
3 For my part, however distant I am physical y, I am present in spirit and have already condemned theman who behaved in this way, just as though I were present in person.	3 Pois eu, em verdade, ainda que distante corporalmente, mas presente em espírito, já julguei, como se estivesse presente, aquele que assim se comportou.
4 When you have gathered together in the name of our Lord Jesus, with the presence of my spirit, and inthe power of our Lord Jesus,	4 Em nome do Senhor Jesus -, reunidos vós e o meu espírito, com o poder de nosso Senhor Jesus -,
5 hand such a man over to Satan, to be destroyed as far as natural life is concerned, so that on the Dayof the Lord his spirit may be saved.	5 seja esse homem entregue a Satanás, para mortificação do seu corpo, a fim de que a sua alma seja salva no dia do Senhor Jesus.
6 Your self-satisfaction is il founded. Do you not realise that only a little yeast leavens the whole batch ofdough?	6 Não é nada belo o motivo da vossa jactância! Não sabeis que um pouco de fermento leveda a massa toda?
7 Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passoverhas been sacrificed, that is, Christ;	7 Purificai-vos do velho fermento, para que sejais massa nova, porque sois pães ázimos, porquanto Cristo, nossa Páscoa, foi imolado.
8 let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but onlythe unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	8 Celebremos, pois, a festa, não com o fermento velho nem com o fermento da malícia e da corrupção, mas com os pães não fermentados de pureza e de verdade.
9 In my letter, I wrote to you that you should have nothing to do with people living immoral lives.	9 Na minha carta vos escrevi que não tivésseis familiaridade com os impudicos.
10 I was not including everybody in this present world who is sexually immoral, or everybody who isgreedy, or dishonest or worships false gods -- that would mean you would have to cut yourselves off completelyfrom the world.	10 Porém, não me referia de um modo absoluto a todos os impudicos deste mundo, os avarentos, os ladrões ou os idólatras, pois neste caso deveríeis sair deste mundo.
11 In fact what I meant was that you were not to have anything to do with anyone going by the name ofbrother who is sexual y immoral, or is greedy, or worships false gods, or is a slanderer or a drunkard ordishonest; never even have a meal with anybody of that kind.	11 Mas eu simplesmente quis dizer-vos que não tenhais comunicação com aquele que, chamando-se irmão, é impuro, avarento, idólatra, difamador, beberrão, ladrão. Com tais indivíduos nem sequer deveis comer.
12 It is no concern of mine to judge outsiders. It is for you to judge those who are inside, is it not?	12 Pois que tenho eu de julgar os que estão fora? Não são os de dentro que deveis julgar?
13 But outsiders are for God to judge. You must banish this evil-doer from among you.	13 Os de fora é Deus que os julgará... Tirai o perverso do vosso meio.
