1 Corinthians 5

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 It is widely reported that there is sexual immorality among you, immorality of a kind that is not foundeven among gentiles: that one of you is living with his stepmother.	1 DEL tutto si ode che vi è fra voi fornicazione; e tal fornicazione, che non pur fra i Gentili è nominata, cioè, che alcuno si tien la moglie del padre.
2 And you so fil ed with your own self-importance! It would have been better if you had been grievingbitterly, so that the man who has done this thing were turned out of the community.	2 E pure ancora voi siete gonfi, e più tosto non avete fatto cordoglio, acciocchè colui che ha commesso questo fatto fosse tolto del mezzo di voi.
3 For my part, however distant I am physical y, I am present in spirit and have already condemned theman who behaved in this way, just as though I were present in person.	3 Poichè io, come assente del corpo, ma presente dello spirito, ho già giudicato, come presente, che colui che ha commesso ciò in questa maniera
4 When you have gathered together in the name of our Lord Jesus, with the presence of my spirit, and inthe power of our Lord Jesus,	4 voi, e lo spirito mio essendo raunati nel nome del nostro Signor Gesù Cristo, con la podestà del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo;
5 hand such a man over to Satan, to be destroyed as far as natural life is concerned, so that on the Dayof the Lord his spirit may be saved.	5 che il tale, dico, sia dato in mano di Satana, alla perdizion della carne, acciocchè lo spirito sia salvato nel giorno del Signor Gesù.
6 Your self-satisfaction is il founded. Do you not realise that only a little yeast leavens the whole batch ofdough?	6 Il vostro vanto non è buono; non sapete voi che un poco di lievito levita tutta la pasta?
7 Throw out the old yeast so that you can be the fresh dough, unleavened as you are. For our Passoverhas been sacrificed, that is, Christ;	7 Purgate adunque il vecchio lievito, acciocchè siate nuova pasta, secondo che siete senza lievito; poichè la nostra pasqua, cioè Cristo, è stata immolata per noi.
8 let us keep the feast, then, with none of the old yeast and no leavening of evil and wickedness, but onlythe unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	8 Perciò facciam la festa, non con vecchio lievito, nè con lievito di malvagità, e di nequizia, ma con azzimi di sincerità, e di verità
9 In my letter, I wrote to you that you should have nothing to do with people living immoral lives.	9 Io vi ho scritto in quell’epistola che voi non vi mescoliate co’ fornicatori;
10 I was not including everybody in this present world who is sexually immoral, or everybody who isgreedy, or dishonest or worships false gods -- that would mean you would have to cut yourselves off completelyfrom the world.	10 non però del tutto co’ fornicatori di questo secolo, o con gli avari, o co’ rapaci, o con gl’idolatri; perciocchè altrimenti vi converrebbe uscire del mondo.
11 In fact what I meant was that you were not to have anything to do with anyone going by the name ofbrother who is sexual y immoral, or is greedy, or worships false gods, or is a slanderer or a drunkard ordishonest; never even have a meal with anybody of that kind.	11 Ma ora, ecco coloro co’ quali vi ho scritto che non vi mescoliate, cioè, che se alcuno, che si nomina fratello, è o fornicatore, o avaro, o idolatra, o ubbriaco, o maldicente, o rapace, non pur mangiate con un tale.
12 It is no concern of mine to judge outsiders. It is for you to judge those who are inside, is it not?	12 Perciocchè che ho io da far di giudicar que’ di fuori? non giudicate voi que’ di dentro?
13 But outsiders are for God to judge. You must banish this evil-doer from among you.	13 Or Iddio giudica que’ di fuori; ma togliete il malvagio d’infra voi stessi
