1 Now when I came to you, brothers, I did not come with any brilliance of oratory or wise argument toannounce to you the mystery of God.	1 וגם אנכי בבאי אליכם אחי לא באתי בגאות הדבור והחכמה בהגידי לכם את עדות האלהים
2 I was resolved that the only knowledge I would have while I was with you was knowledge of Jesus, andof him as the crucified Christ.	2 כי לא חשבתי לדעת בתוככם דבר בלתי אם ישוע המשיח והוא הנצלב
3 I came among you in weakness, in fear and great trembling	3 ואהי אצלכם בחלשה וביראה ובחלחלה רבה
4 and what I spoke and proclaimed was not meant to convince by philosophical argument, but todemonstrate the convincing power of the Spirit,	4 ודברי וקריאתי לא לפתות באמרי חכמת בני אדם כי אם בתוכחת הרוח והגבורה
5 so that your faith should depend not on human wisdom but on the power of God.	5 למען אשר לא תהיה אמונתכם בחכמת בני אדם כי אם בגבורת אלהים
6 But stil , to those who have reached maturity, we do talk of a wisdom, not, it is true, a philosophy of thisage or of the rulers of this age, who will not last long now.	6 אכן חכמה נדבר בין השלמים לא חכמת העולם הזה גם לא של שרי העולם הזה אשר יאבדו
7 It is of the mysterious wisdom of God that we talk, the wisdom that was hidden, which God predestinedto be for our glory before the ages began.	7 כי אם בסוד נדבר חכמת האלהים הנסתרה אשר האלהים יעדה לכבודנו לפני ימי העולם
8 None of the rulers of the age recognised it; for if they had recognised it, they would not have crucifiedthe Lord of glory;	8 אשר לא ידעה איש משרי העולם הזה כי לו ידעוה לא צלבו את אדון הכבוד
9 but it is as scripture says: What no eye has seen and no ear has heard, what the mind of man cannotvisualise; al that God has prepared for those who love him;	9 אלא ככתוב אשר עין לא ראתה ואזן לא שמעה ולא עלה על לב אנוש את אשר הכין האלהים לאהביו
10 to us, though, God has given revelation through the Spirit, for the Spirit explores the depths ofeverything, even the depths of God.	10 ולנו גלה האלהים ברוחו כי הרוח חוקר את הכל גם את מעמקי האלהים
11 After al , is there anyone who knows the qualities of anyone except his own spirit, within him; and inthe same way, nobody knows the qualities of God except the Spirit of God.	11 כי מי הוא בבני אדם הידע את אשר באדם בלתי אם רוח האדם אשר בקרבו כן גם לא ידע איש את אשר באלהים בלתי אם רוח האלהים
12 Now, the Spirit we have received is not the spirit of the world but God's own Spirit, so that we mayunderstand the lavish gifts God has given us.	12 ואנחנו לא קבלנו את רוח העולם כי אם הרוח מאת האלהים למען נדע את אשר נתן לנו מאת האלהים בחסדו
13 And these are what we speak of, not in the terms learnt from human philosophy, but in terms learntfrom the Spirit, fitting spiritual language to spiritual things.	13 ואת זאת נדבר לא בדברים אשר תלמדם חכמת בני אדם כי אם בדברים אשר רוח הקדש תלמדם ונבאר דברים רוחניים על פי הרוח
14 The natural person has no room for the gifts of God's Spirit; to him they are folly; he cannot recognisethem, because their value can be assessed only in the Spirit.	14 הן האדם הנפשי איננו מקבל את דברי רוח אלהים כי המה סכלות לו ולא יוכל להבינם באשר המה נדונים בדרך הרוח
15 The spiritual person, on the other hand, can assess the value of everything, and that person's valuecannot be assessed by anybody else.	15 אבל האדם הרוחני ידין את הכל ואותו לא ידין איש
16 For: who has ever known the mind of the Lord? Who has ever been his adviser? But we are thosewho have the mind of Christ.	16 כי מי תכן את רוח יהוה ומי יודיענו ואנחנו הנה יש לנו רוח המשיח
