1 Now about the collection for God's holy people; you are to do the same as I prescribed for thechurches in Galatia.	1 - Quanto alla colletta pei santi, fate anche voi come ho disposto per le Chiese della Galazia.
2 On the first day of the week, each of you should put aside and reserve as much as each can spare; donot delay the col ection til I arrive.	2 Ogni primo dì della settimana, ciascun di voi metta da parte presso di sè tesoreggiando tutto quel che gli venga bene, affinchè non si debbano far le collette dopo la mia venuta.
3 When I come, I wil send to Jerusalem with letters of introduction those people you approve to deliveryour gift;	3 E quando sarò costì, quelli che avete designato, li manderò con delle lettere a riportare la vostra grazia a Gerusalemme.
4 if it is worth my going too, they can travel with me.	4 E se converrà che ci vada anch'io, verranno con me.
5 In any case, I shal be coming to you after I have passed through Macedonia, as I have to go throughMacedonia;	5 Ora io verrò da voi, quando avrò traversato la Macedonia; perchè traverserò la Macedonia,
6 and I may be staying some time with you, perhaps wintering, so that you can start me on my nextjourney, wherever I may be going.	6 e da voi forse rimarrò o anche svernerò, affinchè mi accompagnate dovunque avrò da andare.
7 I do not want to make only a passing visit to you, and I am hoping to spend quite a time with you, theLord permitting.	7 Non voglio vedervi solo di passata; spero anzi poter passare un po' di tempo con voi, se il Signore lo permette.
8 But I shal remain at Ephesus until Pentecost,	8 Ad Efeso rimarrò sino a Pentecoste,
9 for a very promising door is standing wide open to me and there are many against us.	9 poichè una porta grande e attiva mi è qui aperta, e molti sono gli avversari.
10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he has nothing to fear from you; he is doing the Lord's work, justas I am,	10 E se viene Timoteo, badate che stia fra voi senza timore, poichè lavora come me l'opera del Signore;
11 and nobody is to underrate him. Start him off in peace on his journey to come on to me: the brothersand I are waiting for him.	11 che nessuno dunque lo tenga a vile. E accompagnatelo in pace, perchè venga da me, lo aspetto coi fratelli.
12 As for our brother Apollos, I urged him earnestly to come to you with the brothers, but he was quitefirm that he did not want to go yet, and he wil come when he finds an opportunity.	12 Quanto al fratello Apollo, l'ho molto pregato a venir da voi coi fratelli, ma assolutamente non aveva voglia di venir ora; verrà quando ne abbia l'opportunità.
13 Be vigilant, stay firm in the faith, be brave and strong.	13 Vegliate, state saldi nella fede, siate uomini, siate forti.
14 Let everything you do be done in love.	14 Tutto si faccia tra voi con amore.
15 There is something else I must urge you to do, brothers. You know how Stephanas' family have beenthe first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of God's holy people;	15 Vi prego poi, fratelli, voi sapete che la famiglia di Stefana è la primizia dell'Acaia, e che si è dedicata al servizio dei santi;
16 I ask you in turn to put yourselves at the service of people like this and all that work with them in thisarduous task.	16 anche voi siate sottomessi a questi tali e a chiunque coopera e fatica con loro.
17 I am delighted that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived; they have made up foryour not being here.	17 Mi compiaccio della presenza di Stefana, di Fortunato e di Acaico, perchè essi hanno riempito il vuoto lasciato dalla vostra mancanza,
18 They have set my mind at rest, just as they did yours; you should appreciate people like them.	18 e hanno ricreato lo spirito mio e il vostro. Riconoscete adunque siffatte persone.
19 The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Prisca send their best wishes in the Lord,together with the church that meets in their house.	19 Vi salutano le Chiese dell'Asia; vi saluta molto nel Signore Aquila, e anco Prisca, colla Chiesa di casa loro.
20 Al the brothers send their greetings. Greet one another with the holy kiss.	20 Vi salutano i fratelli tutti. Salutatevi a vicenda col santo bacio.
21 This greeting is in my own hand-PAUL.	21 Il saluto è di mia propria mano, di me Paolo.
22 If there is anyone who does not love the Lord, a curse on such a one. Maran atha.	22 Se qualcuno non ama il Signore, sia anàtema. Maràn athà.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.	23 La grazia del Signore Gesù sia con voi.
24 My love is with you all in Christ Jesus.	24 L'amor mio è con tutti voi in Gesù Cristo.
