1 Now about the collection for God's holy people; you are to do the same as I prescribed for thechurches in Galatia.	1 Quanto poi alle collette, che si fanno pe' santi, conforme la regola data da me alle Chiese della Galazia, così fate anche voi.
2 On the first day of the week, each of you should put aside and reserve as much as each can spare; donot delay the col ection til I arrive.	2 Ogni primo di della settimana ognun di voi metta da parte, e accumuli quello, che gli parrà: affinchè non s'abbian a far le collette, quando io sarò arrivato.
3 When I come, I wil send to Jerusalem with letters of introduction those people you approve to deliveryour gift;	3 Quando poi sarò presente: manderò con lettere quegli, che avrete eletti, a portare il vostro dono a Gerusalemme.
4 if it is worth my going too, they can travel with me.	4 Che se la cosa meriterà, che vada anch'io, partiranno meco.
5 In any case, I shal be coming to you after I have passed through Macedonia, as I have to go throughMacedonia;	5 Or io verrò da voi, quando avrò traversata la Macedonia: imperocché passerò per la Macedonia.
6 and I may be staying some time with you, perhaps wintering, so that you can start me on my nextjourney, wherever I may be going.	6 Mi tratterrò forse presso di voi, od anche svernerò: affinchè voi mi accompagniate dovunque anderò.
7 I do not want to make only a passing visit to you, and I am hoping to spend quite a time with you, theLord permitting.	7 Imperocché io non voglio adesso vedervi di passaggio, ma spero di trattenermi qualche tempo tra voi, se il Signore lo permetterà.
8 But I shal remain at Ephesus until Pentecost,	8 Or io mi tratterrò in Efeso sino alla pentecoste.
9 for a very promising door is standing wide open to me and there are many against us.	9 Imperocché mi si è aperta una porta grande, e spaziosa: e molti avversarj.
10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he has nothing to fear from you; he is doing the Lord's work, justas I am,	10 Che se verrà Timoteo, procurate, che stia tra voi senza timore: conciossiachè egli accudisce all'opera del Signore, come io stesso.
11 and nobody is to underrate him. Start him off in peace on his journey to come on to me: the brothersand I are waiting for him.	11 Nissuno adunque lo disprezzi: ma accompagnatelo con buona grazia, affinchè venga da me: imperocché aspetto lui co' fratelli.
12 As for our brother Apollos, I urged him earnestly to come to you with the brothers, but he was quitefirm that he did not want to go yet, and he wil come when he finds an opportunity.	12 Quanto poi al fratello Apollo io vi fo sapere, che lo ho pregato forte, che venisse da voi co' fratelli: ma assolutamente non ha voluto venire adesso: ma verrà, quando gli sarà comodo.
13 Be vigilant, stay firm in the faith, be brave and strong.	13 Vegliate, siate costanti nella fede, operate virilmente, e fortificatevi:
14 Let everything you do be done in love.	14 Tutte le cose vostre siano fatte nella carità.
15 There is something else I must urge you to do, brothers. You know how Stephanas' family have beenthe first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of God's holy people;	15 Vi prego poi, o fratelli, voi sapete come la famiglia di Stefana, e quella di Fortunato, e di Acaico, sono le primizie dell'Arnia, e si sono consagrati al servigio de' santi:
16 I ask you in turn to put yourselves at the service of people like this and all that work with them in thisarduous task.	16 Che anche voi siate sottomessi a questi tali, e a chiunque coopera, e travaglia.
17 I am delighted that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived; they have made up foryour not being here.	17 Godo dell'arrivo di Stefana, e di Fortunato, e di Acaico: perché questi hanno supplito alla vostra assenza:
18 They have set my mind at rest, just as they did yours; you should appreciate people like them.	18 Imperocché hanno ristorato il mio, e vostro spirito. Distinguete adunque que', che sono tali.
19 The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Prisca send their best wishes in the Lord,together with the church that meets in their house.	19 Vi salutan le Chiese dell'Asia. Vi salutano nel Signore grandemente Aquila, e Priscilla con la domestica loro Chiesa: de' quali sono ospite.
20 Al the brothers send their greetings. Greet one another with the holy kiss.	20 Vi salutano tutti i fratelli. Salutatevi gli uni gli altri col bacio santo.

22 If there is anyone who does not love the Lord, a curse on such a one. Maran atha.	22 Se alcuno non ama il Signor nostro Gesù Cristo, sia anatema, Maran Atha.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.	23 La grazia del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo con voi.
24 My love is with you all in Christ Jesus.	24 La carità mia con tutti voi in Cristo Gesù. Cosi sia.
