1 Corinthians 16

NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Now about the collection for God's holy people; you are to do the same as I prescribed for thechurches in Galatia.	1 ORA, quant’è alla colletta che si fa per i santi, come ne ho ordinato alle chiese della Galazia, così ancor fate voi.
2 On the first day of the week, each of you should put aside and reserve as much as each can spare; donot delay the col ection til I arrive.	2 Ogni primo giorno della settimana ciascun di voi riponga appresso di sè ciò che gli sarà comodo; acciocchè, quando io sarò venuto, le collette non si abbiano più a fare.
3 When I come, I wil send to Jerusalem with letters of introduction those people you approve to deliveryour gift;	3 E quando io sarò giunto, io manderò coloro che voi avrete approvati per lettere a portar la vostra liberalità in Gerusalemme.
4 if it is worth my going too, they can travel with me.	4 E se converrà ch’io stesso ci vada, essi verranno meco
5 In any case, I shal be coming to you after I have passed through Macedonia, as I have to go throughMacedonia;	5 OR io verrò a voi, dopo che sarò passato per la Macedonia, perciocchè io passerò per la Macedonia.
6 and I may be staying some time with you, perhaps wintering, so that you can start me on my nextjourney, wherever I may be going.	6 E forse farò qualche dimora appresso di voi, ovvero ancora ci vernerò; acciocchè voi mi accompagniate dovunque io andrò.
7 I do not want to make only a passing visit to you, and I am hoping to spend quite a time with you, theLord permitting.	7 Perciocchè io non voglio questa volta vedervi di passaggio; ma spero dimorar qualche tempo appresso di voi, se il Signore lo permette.
8 But I shal remain at Ephesus until Pentecost,	8 Or io resterò in Efeso fino alla Pentecosta.
9 for a very promising door is standing wide open to me and there are many against us.	9 Perciocchè una grande ed efficace porta mi è aperta; e vi son molti avversari
10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he has nothing to fear from you; he is doing the Lord's work, justas I am,	10 Ora, se Timoteo viene, vedete ch’egli stia sicuramente appresso di voi; perciocchè egli si adopera nell’opera del Signore, come io stesso.
11 and nobody is to underrate him. Start him off in peace on his journey to come on to me: the brothersand I are waiting for him.	11 Niuno adunque lo sprezzi, anzi accompagnatelo in pace, acciocchè egli venga a me; perciocchè io l’aspetto co’ fratelli.
12 As for our brother Apollos, I urged him earnestly to come to you with the brothers, but he was quitefirm that he did not want to go yet, and he wil come when he finds an opportunity.	12 Ora, quant’è al fratello Apollo, io l’ho molto confortato di andare a voi co’ fratelli; ma egli del tutto non ha avuta volontà di andarvi ora; ma pur vi andrà, quando avrà l’opportunità
13 Be vigilant, stay firm in the faith, be brave and strong.	13 Vegliate, state fermi nella fede, portatevi virilmente, fortificatevi.
14 Let everything you do be done in love.	14 Tutte le cose vostre facciansi con carità.
15 There is something else I must urge you to do, brothers. You know how Stephanas' family have beenthe first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of God's holy people;	15 Ora, fratelli, io vi esorto che voi conoscete la famiglia di Stefana, e sapete che è le primizie dell’Acaia e che si son dedicati al servigio de’ santi
16 I ask you in turn to put yourselves at the service of people like this and all that work with them in thisarduous task.	16 voi ancora vi sottomettiate a tali, ed a chiunque si adopera, e s’affatica nell’opera comune.
17 I am delighted that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived; they have made up foryour not being here.	17 Or io mi rallegro della venuta di Stefana, e di Fortunato, e d’Acaico; poichè hanno supplito alla vostra assenza.
18 They have set my mind at rest, just as they did yours; you should appreciate people like them.	18 Perciocchè hanno ricreato lo spirito mio, ed il vostro; riconoscete adunque coloro che son tali
19 The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Prisca send their best wishes in the Lord,together with the church that meets in their house.	19 Le chiese dell’Asia vi salutano; Aquila, e Priscilla, insieme con la chiesa che è nella lor casa, vi salutano molto nel Signore.
20 Al the brothers send their greetings. Greet one another with the holy kiss.	20 Tutti i fratelli vi salutano; salutatevi gli uni gli altri con un santo bacio.

22 If there is anyone who does not love the Lord, a curse on such a one. Maran atha.	22 Se alcuno non ama il Signor Gesù Cristo, sia anatema! Maranata.
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.	23 La grazia del Signor Gesù Cristo sia con voi.
24 My love is with you all in Christ Jesus.	24 La mia carità sia con tutti voi, in Cristo Gesù. Amen
