NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Now about the collection for God's holy people; you are to do the same as I prescribed for thechurches in Galatia.	1 Was die Geldsammlung für die Heiligen angeht, sollt auch ihr euch an das halten, was ich für die Gemeinden Galatiens angeordnet habe.
2 On the first day of the week, each of you should put aside and reserve as much as each can spare; donot delay the col ection til I arrive.	2 Jeder soll immer am ersten Tag der Woche etwas zurücklegen und so zusammensparen, was er kann. Dann sind keine Sammlungen mehr nötig, wenn ich komme.
3 When I come, I wil send to Jerusalem with letters of introduction those people you approve to deliveryour gift;	3 Nach meiner Ankunft werde ich eure Vertrauensleute mit Briefen nach Jerusalem schicken, damit sie eure Liebesgabe überbringen.
4 if it is worth my going too, they can travel with me.	4 Ist es der Mühe wert, dass ich selbst hinreise, dann sollen sie mit mir reisen.
5 In any case, I shal be coming to you after I have passed through Macedonia, as I have to go throughMacedonia;	5 Ich werde zu euch kommen, wenn ich durch Mazedonien gereist bin. In Mazedonien will ich nämlich nicht bleiben,
6 and I may be staying some time with you, perhaps wintering, so that you can start me on my nextjourney, wherever I may be going.	6 aber, wenn es möglich ist, bei euch, vielleicht sogar den ganzen Winter. Wenn ich dann weiterreise, könnt ihr mir das Geleit geben.
7 I do not want to make only a passing visit to you, and I am hoping to spend quite a time with you, theLord permitting.	7 Ich möchte euch diesmal nicht nur auf der Durchreise sehen; ich hoffe, einige Zeit bei euch bleiben zu können, wenn der Herr es zulässt.
8 But I shal remain at Ephesus until Pentecost,	8 In Ephesus will ich bis Pfingsten bleiben.
9 for a very promising door is standing wide open to me and there are many against us.	9 Denn weit und wirksam ist mir hier eine Tür geöffnet worden; doch auch an Gegnern fehlt es nicht.
10 If Timothy comes, make sure that he has nothing to fear from you; he is doing the Lord's work, justas I am,	10 Wenn Timotheus kommt, achtet darauf, dass ihr ihn nicht entmutigt; denn er arbeitet im Dienst des Herrn wie ich.
11 and nobody is to underrate him. Start him off in peace on his journey to come on to me: the brothersand I are waiting for him.	11 Keiner soll ihn gering schätzen. Verabschiedet ihn dann in Frieden, damit er zu mir zurückkehrt; ich warte auf ihn mit den Brüdern.
12 As for our brother Apollos, I urged him earnestly to come to you with the brothers, but he was quitefirm that he did not want to go yet, and he wil come when he finds an opportunity.	12 Was den Bruder Apollos angeht, so habe ich ihn dringend gebeten, er möge mit den Brüdern zu euch reisen, aber er wollte auf keinen Fall jetzt gehen. Er wird kommen, wenn er eine günstige Gelegenheit findet.
13 Be vigilant, stay firm in the faith, be brave and strong.	13 Seid wachsam, steht fest im Glauben, seid mutig, seid stark!
14 Let everything you do be done in love.	14 Alles, was ihr tut, geschehe in Liebe.
15 There is something else I must urge you to do, brothers. You know how Stephanas' family have beenthe first-fruits of Achaia and have devoted themselves to the service of God's holy people;	15 Ich habe noch eine Bitte, Brüder. Ihr kennt das Haus des Stephanas: Sie sind die erste Frucht Achaias und haben sich in den Dienst der Heiligen gestellt.
16 I ask you in turn to put yourselves at the service of people like this and all that work with them in thisarduous task.	16 Ordnet euch ihnen unter, ebenso ihren Helfern und Mitarbeitern!
17 I am delighted that Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have arrived; they have made up foryour not being here.	17 Es freut mich, dass Stephanas, Fortunatus und Achaikus zu mir gekommen sind; sie sind mir ein Ersatz für euch, da ihr nicht hier sein könnt.
18 They have set my mind at rest, just as they did yours; you should appreciate people like them.	18 Sie haben mich und euch erfreut und aufgerichtet. Verweigert solchen Männern eure Anerkennung nicht!
19 The churches of Asia send their greetings. Aquila and Prisca send their best wishes in the Lord,together with the church that meets in their house.	19 Es grüßen euch die Gemeinden in der Provinz Asien. Aquila und Priska und ihre Hausgemeinde senden euch viele Grüße im Herrn.
