Deuteronomy 6

1 'Such, then, are the commandments, the laws and the customs which Yahweh your God has instructedme to teach you, for you to observe in the country which you are on your way to possess.	1 Вот заповеди, постановления и законы, которым повелел Господь, Бог ваш, научить вас, чтобы вы поступали [так] в той земле, в которую вы идете, чтоб овладеть ею;
2 And hence, if, throughout your lives, you fear Yahweh your God and keep al his laws andcommandments, which I am laying down for you today, you wil live long, you and your child and your grandchild.	2 дабы ты боялся Господа, Бога твоего, и все постановления Его и заповеди Его, которые заповедую тебе, соблюдал ты и сыны твои и сыны сынов твоих во все дни жизни твоей, дабы продлились дни твои.
3 Listen then, Israel, keep and observe what wil make you prosperous and numerous, as Yahweh, Godof your ancestors, has promised you, in giving you a country flowing with milk and honey.	3 Итак слушай, Израиль, и старайся исполнить это, чтобы тебе хорошо было, и чтобы вы весьма размножились, как Господь, Бог отцов твоих, говорил тебе, [что Он даст тебе] землю, где течет молоко и мед.
4 'Listen, Israel: Yahweh our God is the one, the only Yahweh.	4 Слушай, Израиль: Господь, Бог наш, Господь един есть;
5 You must love Yahweh your God with al your heart, with al your soul, with al your strength.	5 и люби Господа, Бога твоего, всем сердцем твоим, и всею душею твоею и всеми силами твоими.
6 Let the words I enjoin on you today stay in your heart.	6 И да будут слова сии, которые Я заповедую тебе сегодня, в сердце твоем.
7 You shal tel them to your children, and keep on tel ing them, when you are sitting at home, when youare out and about, when you are lying down and when you are standing up;	7 и внушай их детям твоим и говори о них, сидя в доме твоем и идя дорогою, и ложась и вставая;
8 you must fasten them on your hand as a sign and on your forehead as a headband;	8 и навяжи их в знак на руку твою, и да будут они повязкою над глазами твоими,
9 you must write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.	9 и напиши их на косяках дома твоего и на воротах твоих.
10 'When Yahweh has brought you into the country which he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaacand Jacob that he would give you, with great and prosperous cities you have not built,	10 Когда же введет тебя Господь, Бог твой, в ту землю, которую Он клялся отцам твоим, Аврааму, Исааку и Иакову, дать тебе с большими и хорошими городами, которых ты не строил,
11 with houses full of good things you have not provided, with wel s you have not dug, with vineyards andolive trees you have not planted, and then, when you have eaten as much as you want,	11 и с домами, наполненными всяким добром, которых ты не наполнял, и с колодезями, высеченными [из камня], которых ты не высекал, с виноградниками и маслинами, которых ты не садил, и будешь есть и насыщаться,
12 be careful you do not forget Yahweh who has brought you out of Egypt, out of the place of slave-labour.	12 тогда берегись, чтобы не забыл ты Господа, Который вывел тебя из земли Египетской, из дома рабства.
13 Yahweh your God is the one you must fear, him alone you must serve, his is the name by which youmust swear.	13 Господа, Бога твоего, бойся, и Ему [одному] служи, и Его именем клянись.
14 'Do not fol ow other gods, gods of the peoples round you,	14 Не последуйте иным богам, богам тех народов, которые будут вокруг вас;
15 for Yahweh your God among you is a jealous God; the wrath of Yahweh your God would blaze outagainst you, and he would wipe you off the face of the earth.	15 ибо Господь, Бог твой, Который среди тебя, есть Бог ревнитель; чтобы не воспламенился гнев Господа, Бога твоего, на тебя, и не истребил Он тебя с лица земли.
16 Do not put Yahweh your God to the test as you tested him at Massah.	16 Не искушайте Господа, Бога вашего, как вы искушали Его в Массе.
17 Keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and his instructions and laws which he has laid downfor you,	17 Твердо храните заповеди Господа, Бога вашего, и уставы Его и постановления, которые Он заповедал тебе;
18 and do what Yahweh regards as right and good, so that you may prosper and take possession of thefine country which Yahweh swore to give your ancestors,	18 и делай справедливое и доброе пред очами Господа, дабы хорошо тебе было, и дабы ты вошел и овладел доброю землею, которую Господь с клятвою обещал отцам твоим,
19 driving out your enemies before you; such was Yahweh's promise.	19 и чтобы Он прогнал всех врагов твоих от лица твоего, как говорил Господь.
20 'In times to come, when your child asks you, "What is the meaning of these instructions, laws andcustoms which Yahweh our God has laid down for you?"	20 Если спросит у тебя сын твой в последующее время, говоря: 'что [значат] сии уставы, постановления и законы, которые заповедал вам Господь, Бог ваш?'
21 you are to tel your child, "Once we were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt, and Yahweh brought us out ofEgypt by his mighty hand.	21 то скажи сыну твоему: 'рабами были мы у фараона в Египте, но Господь вывел нас из Египта рукою крепкою;
22 Before our eyes, Yahweh worked great and terrible signs and wonders against Egypt, againstPharaoh and his entire household.	22 и явил Господь знамения и чудеса великие и казни над Египтом, над фараоном и над всем домом его пред глазами нашими;
23 And he brought us out of there, to lead us into the country which he had sworn to our ancestors thathe would give us.	23 а нас вывел оттуда чтобы ввести нас и дать нам землю, которую клялся отцам нашим [дать нам];
24 And Yahweh has commanded us to observe all these laws and to fear Yahweh our God, so as to behappy for ever and to survive, as we do to this day.	24 и заповедал нам Господь исполнять все постановления сии, чтобы мы боялись Господа, Бога нашего, дабы хорошо было нам во все дни, дабы сохранить нашу жизнь, как и теперь;
25 For us, right living wil mean this: to keep and observe al these commandments in obedience toYahweh our God, as he has commanded us." '	25 и в сем будет наша праведность, если мы будем стараться исполнять все сии заповеди пред лицем Господа, Бога нашего, как Он заповедал нам'.
