Deuteronomy 6

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 'Such, then, are the commandments, the laws and the customs which Yahweh your God has instructedme to teach you, for you to observe in the country which you are on your way to possess.	1 Ezek azok a parancsok, szertartások és rendeletek, amelyek felől az Úr, a ti Istenetek megparancsolta, hogy megtanítsalak titeket rájuk, s ti megtartsátok azokat azon a földön, amelyet majd birtokba vesztek.
2 And hence, if, throughout your lives, you fear Yahweh your God and keep al his laws andcommandments, which I am laying down for you today, you wil live long, you and your child and your grandchild.	2 Teljes életedben féld az Urat, a te Istenedet, s tartsd meg minden parancsát, amelyet én neked, fiaidnak és unokáidnak meghagyok, hogy hosszú életed legyen.
3 Listen then, Israel, keep and observe what wil make you prosperous and numerous, as Yahweh, Godof your ancestors, has promised you, in giving you a country flowing with milk and honey.	3 Halld tehát Izrael, s vigyázz, tedd meg, amit az Úr megparancsolt neked, hogy jó dolgod legyen és felette megsokasodj azon a tejjel s mézzel folyó földön, amint az Úr, atyáid Istene megígérte neked.
4 'Listen, Israel: Yahweh our God is the one, the only Yahweh.	4 Halld Izrael: az Úr, a mi Istenünk az egyetlen Úr!
5 You must love Yahweh your God with al your heart, with al your soul, with al your strength.	5 Szeresd Uradat, Istenedet teljes szívedből, teljes lelkedből és minden erődből.
6 Let the words I enjoin on you today stay in your heart.	6 Legyenek a szívedben ezek az igék, amelyeket ma megparancsolok neked!
7 You shal tel them to your children, and keep on tel ing them, when you are sitting at home, when youare out and about, when you are lying down and when you are standing up;	7 Beszéld el ezeket fiaidnak! Elmélkedj róluk, ha a házadban ülsz, ha úton jársz, ha lefekszel és ha felkelsz!
8 you must fasten them on your hand as a sign and on your forehead as a headband;	8 Kösd őket jelként a kezedre, függeszd azokat a szemeid közé,
9 you must write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.	9 írd rá őket házad ajtófélfáira és kapuira!
10 'When Yahweh has brought you into the country which he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaacand Jacob that he would give you, with great and prosperous cities you have not built,	10 Ha majd bevisz téged az Úr, a te Istened arra a földre, amely felől megesküdött atyáidnak, Ábrahámnak, Izsáknak és Jákobnak, s nagy és jó városokat ad neked, amelyeket nem te építettél,
11 with houses full of good things you have not provided, with wel s you have not dug, with vineyards andolive trees you have not planted, and then, when you have eaten as much as you want,	11 házakat telve minden jóval, amelyet nem te halmoztál fel, vízvermeket, amelyeket nem te ástál, szőlőket és olajfakerteket, amelyeket nem te ültettél,
12 be careful you do not forget Yahweh who has brought you out of Egypt, out of the place of slave-labour.	12 s eszel és jóllaksz:
13 Yahweh your God is the one you must fear, him alone you must serve, his is the name by which youmust swear.	13 szorgalmasan vigyázz arra, hogy meg ne feledkezzél az Úrról, aki kihozott téged Egyiptom földjéről, a rabszolgaság házából. Féld az Urat, a te Istenedet és csak neki szolgálj; s az ő nevére esküdj.
14 'Do not fol ow other gods, gods of the peoples round you,	14 Ne járjatok más istenek után, semmiféle körülöttetek levő nép istenei után.
15 for Yahweh your God among you is a jealous God; the wrath of Yahweh your God would blaze outagainst you, and he would wipe you off the face of the earth.	15 Mert az Úr, a te Istened, aki közötted van, féltékeny Isten, fel ne gerjedjen ellened egyszer az Úrnak, a te Istenednek haragja, s el ne pusztítson a föld színéről.
16 Do not put Yahweh your God to the test as you tested him at Massah.	16 Ne kísértsd az Urat, a te Istenedet, mint ahogy kísértetted őt Masszában.
17 Keep the commandments of Yahweh your God, and his instructions and laws which he has laid downfor you,	17 Tartsd meg az Úrnak, a te Istenednek parancsait, bizonyságait és szertartásait, amelyeket parancsolt neked,
18 and do what Yahweh regards as right and good, so that you may prosper and take possession of thefine country which Yahweh swore to give your ancestors,	18 s azt tedd, ami kedves és jó az Úr színe előtt, hogy jó dolgod legyen, s elérhesd és elfoglalhasd azt az igen jó földet, amely felől megesküdött az Úr atyáidnak,
19 driving out your enemies before you; such was Yahweh's promise.	19 s hogy eltörölje minden ellenségedet előled, amint megmondta.
20 'In times to come, when your child asks you, "What is the meaning of these instructions, laws andcustoms which Yahweh our God has laid down for you?"	20 Ha pedig majd fiad maholnap megkérdez téged: ‘Mire valók ezek a bizonyságok, szertartások és rendeletek, amelyeket az Úr, a mi Istenünk megparancsolt nekünk,’
21 you are to tel your child, "Once we were Pharaoh's slaves in Egypt, and Yahweh brought us out ofEgypt by his mighty hand.	21 mondd neki: ‘A fáraó szolgái voltunk Egyiptomban, de az Úr erős kézzel kihozott minket Egyiptomból.
22 Before our eyes, Yahweh worked great and terrible signs and wonders against Egypt, againstPharaoh and his entire household.	22 Nagy és szörnyű jeleket és csodákat művelt Egyiptomban szemünk láttára a fáraón és egész háza népén,
23 And he brought us out of there, to lead us into the country which he had sworn to our ancestors thathe would give us.	23 minket azonban kivezetett onnan, hogy behozzon ide és nekünk adja ezt a földet, amely felől megesküdött atyáinknak.
24 And Yahweh has commanded us to observe all these laws and to fear Yahweh our God, so as to behappy for ever and to survive, as we do to this day.	24 Akkor parancsolta meg nekünk az Úr, hogy tegyük meg mindezeket a törvényeket és féljük az Urat, a mi Istenünket, hogy jó dolgunk legyen egész életünkben, mint ahogy ma van.
25 For us, right living wil mean this: to keep and observe al these commandments in obedience toYahweh our God, as he has commanded us." '	25 Irgalmas is lesz irántunk, ha az Úr, a mi Istenünk előtt vigyázunk és teljesítjük minden parancsát, amint parancsolta nekünk.’
