Luke 18

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Then he told them a parable about the need to pray continual y and never lose heart.	1 Arról is mondott nekik egy példabeszédet, hogy szüntelen kell imádkozni és nem szabad belefáradni.
2 'There was a judge in a certain town,' he said, 'who had neither fear of God nor respect for anyone.	2 Így szólt: »Az egyik városban volt egy bíró, aki Istentől nem félt és embertől nem tartott.
3 In the same town there was also a widow who kept on coming to him and saying, "I want justice fromyou against my enemy!"	3 Volt abban a városban egy özvegyasszony is, aki elment hozzá és kérte: ‘Szolgáltass nekem igazságot ellenfelemmel szemben!’
4 For a long time he refused, but at last he said to himself, "Even though I have neither fear of God norrespect for any human person,	4 Az egy ideig nem volt rá hajlandó. Azután mégis így szólt magában: ‘Bár Istentől nem félek, és embertől nem tartok,
5 I must give this widow her just rights since she keeps pestering me, or she wil come and slap me in the face." '	5 mégis, mivel terhemre van ez az özvegyasszony, igazságot szolgáltatok neki, nehogy végül is idejöjjön és arcul üssön.’«
6 And the Lord said, 'You notice what the unjust judge has to say?	6 Azután így szólt az Úr: »Hallottátok, mit mond az igazságtalan bíró?
7 Now, will not God see justice done to his elect if they keep cal ing to him day and night even though hestill delays to help them?	7 Hát Isten nem szolgáltat-e igazságot választottainak, akik éjjel-nappal hozzá kiáltanak? Vajon megvárakoztatja őket?
8 I promise you, he wil see justice done to them, and done speedily. But when the Son of man comes,wil he find any faith on earth?'	8 Mondom nektek: hamarosan igazságot szolgáltat nekik. De amikor eljön az Emberfia, vajon talál-e hitet a földön?«
9 He spoke the following parable to some people who prided themselves on being upright and despisedeveryone else,	9 Néhány elbizakodottnak pedig, akik azt gondolták, hogy ők igazak, és másokat megvetettek, ezt a példabeszédet mondta:
10 'Two men went up to the Temple to pray, one a Pharisee, the other a tax col ector.	10 »Két ember fölment a templomba imádkozni, az egyik farizeus volt, a másik vámos.
11 The Pharisee stood there and said this prayer to himself, "I thank you, God, that I am not grasping,unjust, adulterous like everyone else, and particularly that I am not like this tax col ector here.	11 A farizeus megállt, és így imádkozott magában: ‘Istenem! Hálát adok neked, hogy nem vagyok olyan, mint a többi ember, rabló, igaztalan és házasságtörő, mint ez a vámos is.
12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes on al I get."	12 Kétszer böjtölök hetente, tizedet adok mindenemből.’
13 The tax collector stood some distance away, not daring even to raise his eyes to heaven; but he beathis breast and said, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner."	13 A vámos pedig távol állt meg, nem merte a szemét sem az égre emelni. Mellét verve így szólt: ‘Istenem! Légy irgalmas nekem, bűnösnek!’
14 This man, I tell you, went home again justified; the other did not. For everyone who raises himself upwil be humbled, but anyone who humbles himself wil be raised up.'	14 Mondom nektek: ez megigazultan ment haza, amaz pedig nem. Mert mindazt, aki magát felmagasztalja, megalázzák, és aki magát megalázza, felmagasztalják.«
15 People even brought babies to him, for him to touch them; but when the disciples saw this theyscolded them.	15 Odavitték hozzá a kisgyermekeket is, hogy érintse meg őket. Mikor a tanítványok meglátták ezt, szemrehányást tettek nekik.
16 But Jesus cal ed the children to him and said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not stopthem; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.	16 Jézus azonban magához hívta őket, és így szólt: »Hagyjátok, hadd jöjjenek hozzám a gyermekek, s ne akadályozzátok őket, mert ilyeneké az Isten országa.
17 In truth I tell you, anyone who does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enterit.'	17 Bizony, mondom nektek: aki nem úgy fogadja az Isten országát, mint a gyermek, nem jut be oda.«
18 One of the rulers put this question to him, 'Good Master, what shal I do to inherit eternal life?'	18 Egy előkelő ember megkérdezte tőle: »Jó Mester! Mit tegyek, hogy elnyerjem az örök életet?«
19 Jesus said to him, 'Why do you cal me good? No one is good but God alone.	19 Jézus ezt mondta neki: »Miért mondasz engem jónak? Senki sem jó, csak egyedül az Isten.
20 You know the commandments: You shal not commit adultery; You shal not kil ; You shall not steal;You shal not give false witness; Honour your father and your mother.'	20 Ismered a parancsokat: Ne törj házasságot, ne ölj, ne lopj, hamisan ne tanúskodj, tiszteld apádat és anyádat« .
21 He replied, 'I have kept all these since my earliest days.'	21 Az így felelt: »Ezeket ifjú korom óta mind megtartottam.«
22 And when Jesus heard this he said, 'There is stil one thing you lack. Sell everything you own anddistribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.'	22 Ennek hallatára Jézus így szólt hozzá: »Egy valami hiányzik még neked: add el mindenedet, amid van, oszd szét a szegényeknek, és kincsed lesz a mennyben; azután jöjj, és kövess engem!«
23 But when he heard this he was overcome with sadness, for he was very rich.	23 Ennek hallatára az nagyon elszomorodott, mert igen gazdag volt.
24 Jesus looked at him and said, 'How hard it is for those who have riches to make their way into thekingdom of God!	24 Amikor Jézus látta, hogy elszomorodott, így szólt: »Milyen nehezen jutnak Isten országába azok, akik gazdagok!
25 Yes, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for someone rich to enter thekingdom of God.'	25 Mert könnyebb a tevének a tű fokán átmenni, mint a gazdagnak bejutni Isten országába.«
26 Those who were listening said, 'In that case, who can be saved?'	26 Akik hallották, megkérdezték: »Hát akkor ki üdvözülhet?«
27 He replied, 'Things that are impossible by human resources, are possible for God.'	27 Ezt felelte nekik: »Ami az embereknek lehetetlen, az Istennek lehetséges« .
28 But Peter said, 'Look, we left al we had to follow you.'	28 Ekkor Péter megszólalt: »Íme, mi mindenünket elhagytuk, és követtünk téged.«
29 He said to them, 'In truth I tel you, there is no one who has left house, wife, brothers, parents orchildren for the sake of the kingdom of God	29 Ő azt mondta nekik: »Bizony, mondom nektek: Senki sem hagyja el házát vagy feleségét, vagy testvéreit vagy szüleit, vagy gyermekeit az Isten országáért
30 who will not receive many times as much in this present age and, in the world to come, eternal life.'	30 anélkül, hogy ne kapna ezen a világon sokkal többet, az eljövendő világban pedig az örök életet.«
31 Then taking the Twelve aside he said to them, 'Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everythingthat is written by the prophets about the Son of man is to come true.	31 Ezután Jézus maga mellé vette a tizenkettőt, és azt mondta nekik: »Íme, most fölmegyünk Jeruzsálembe, és beteljesedik mindaz, amit a próféták az Emberfiáról megírtak.
32 For he wil be handed over to the gentiles and wil be mocked, maltreated and spat on,	32 A pogányok kezébe adják, kigúnyolják, meggyalázzák és leköpdösik;
33 and when they have scourged him they will put him to death; and on the third day he will rise again.'	33 aztán megostorozzák, megölik, de harmadnapra feltámad.«
34 But they could make nothing of this; what he said was quite obscure to them, they did not understandwhat he was tel ing them.	34 Ők azonban semmit sem értettek ebből. Rejtve maradt előttük ez a beszéd, és nem értették a mondottakat.
35 Now it happened that as he drew near to Jericho there was a blind man sitting at the side of the roadbegging.	35 Történt pedig, hogy amikor Jerikóhoz közeledett, egy vak ült az út szélén és kéregetett.
36 When he heard the crowd going past he asked what it was all about,	36 Amikor hallotta az elvonuló tömeget, megkérdezte, hogy mi az.
37 and they told him that Jesus the Nazarene was passing by.	37 Megmondták neki, hogy a Názáreti Jézus megy arra.
38 So he called out, 'Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me.'	38 Erre felkiáltott: »Jézus, Dávid fia! Könyörülj rajtam!«
39 The people in front scolded him and told him to keep quiet, but he only shouted al the louder, 'Son ofDavid, have pity on me.'	39 Akik elöl mentek, ráparancsoltak, hogy hallgasson. De ő annál jobban kiáltozott: »Dávid fia! Könyörülj rajtam!«
40 Jesus stopped and ordered them to bring the man to him, and when he came up, asked him,	40 Erre Jézus megállt, és megparancsolta, hogy vezessék őt hozzá. Amikor odaért, megkérdezte tőle:
41 'What do you want me to do for you?' 'Sir,' he replied, 'let me see again.'	41 »Mit akarsz, mit cselekedjem veled?« Az így szólt: »Uram! Hogy lássak!«
42 Jesus said to him, 'Receive your sight. Your faith has saved you.'	42 Jézus azt mondta neki: »Láss! A hited megmentett téged.«
43 And instantly his sight returned and he fol owed him praising God, and al the people who saw it gavepraise to God.	43 Azonnal látott is, és követte őt, Istent magasztalva. Erre az egész tömeg, amely ezt látta, dicsőítette Istent.
