Luke 17

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 He said to his disciples, 'Causes of fal ing are sure to come, but alas for the one through whom theyoccur!	1 وقال لتلاميذه لا يمكن الا ان تأتي العثرات. ولكن ويل للذي تأتي بواسطته.
2 It would be better for such a person to be thrown into the sea with a mil stone round the neck than tobe the downfal of a single one of these little ones.	2 خير له لو طوق عنقه بحجر رحى وطرح في البحر من ان يعثر احد هؤلاء الصغار.
3 Keep watch on yourselves! 'If your brother does something wrong, rebuke him and, if he is sorry,forgive him.	3 احترزوا لانفسكم. وان اخطأ اليك اخوك فوبخه. وان تاب فاغفر له.
4 And if he wrongs you seven times a day and seven times comes back to you and says, "I am sorry,"you must forgive him.'	4 وان اخطأ اليك سبع مرات في اليوم ورجع اليك سبع مرات في اليوم قائلا انا تائب فاغفر له.
5 The apostles said to the Lord, 'Increase our faith.'	5 فقال الرسل للرب زد ايماننا.
6 The Lord replied, 'If you had faith like a mustard seed you could say to this mulberry tree, "Be uprootedand planted in the sea," and it would obey you.	6 فقال الرب لو كان لكم ايمان مثل حبة خردل لكنتم تقولون لهذه الجميزة انقلعي وانغرسي في البحر فتطيعكم
7 'Which of you, with a servant ploughing or minding sheep, would say to him when he returned from thefields, "Come and have your meal at once"?	7 ومن منكم له عبد يحرث او يرعى يقول له اذا دخل من الحقل تقدم سريعا واتكئ.
8 Would he not be more likely to say, "Get my supper ready; fasten your belt and wait on me while I eatand drink. You yourself can eat and drink afterwards"?	8 بل ألا يقول له اعدد ما اتعشى به وتمنطق واخدمني حتى آكل واشرب وبعد ذلك تأكل وتشرب انت.
9 Must he be grateful to the servant for doing what he was told?	9 فهل لذلك العبد فضل لانه فعل ما امر به لا اظن.
10 So with you: when you have done al you have been told to do, say, "We are useless servants: wehave done no more than our duty." '	10 كذلك انتم ايضا متى فعلتم كل ما أمرتم به فقولوا اننا عبيد بطالون. لاننا انما عملنا ما كان يجب علينا
11 Now it happened that on the way to Jerusalem he was travel ing in the borderlands of Samaria andGalilee.	11 وفي ذهابه الى اورشليم اجتاز في وسط السامرة والجليل.
12 As he entered one of the villages, ten men suffering from a virulent skin-disease came to meet him.They stood some way off	12 وفيما هو داخل الى قرية استقبله عشرة رجال برص فوقفوا من بعيد.
13 and cal ed to him, 'Jesus! Master! Take pity on us.'	13 ورفعوا صوتا قائلين يا يسوع يا معلّم ارحمنا.
14 When he saw them he said, 'Go and show yourselves to the priests.' Now as they were going awaythey were cleansed.	14 فنظر وقال لهم اذهبوا وأروا انفسكم للكهنة. وفيما هم منطلقون طهروا.
15 Finding himself cured, one of them turned back praising God at the top of his voice	15 فواحد منهم لما رأى انه شفي رجع يمجد الله بصوت عظيم.
16 and threw himself prostrate at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. The man was a Samaritan.	16 وخرّ على وجهه عند رجليه شاكرا له. وكان سامريا.
17 This led Jesus to say, 'Were not al ten made clean? The other nine, where are they?	17 فاجاب يسوع وقال أليس العشرة قد طهروا. فاين التسعة.
18 It seems that no one has come back to give praise to God, except this foreigner.'	18 ألم يوجد من يرجع ليعطي مجدا للّه غير هذا الغريب الجنس.
19 And he said to the man, 'Stand up and go on your way. Your faith has saved you.'	19 ثم قال له قم وامض. ايمانك خلصك
20 Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was to come, he gave them this answer, 'Thecoming of the kingdom of God does not admit of observation	20 ولما سأله الفريسيون متى يأتي ملكوت الله اجابهم وقال لا يأتي ملكوت الله بمراقبة.
21 and there will be no one to say, "Look, it is here! Look, it is there!" For look, the kingdom of God isamong you.'	21 ولا يقولون هوذا ههنا او هوذا هناك لان ها ملكوت الله داخلكم
22 He said to the disciples, 'A time wil come when you wil long to see one of the days of the Son ofman and wil not see it.	22 وقال للتلاميذ ستأتي ايام فيها تشتهون ان تروا يوما واحدا من ايام ابن الانسان ولا ترون.
23 They will say to you, "Look, it is there!" or, "Look, it is here!" Make no move; do not set off in pursuit;	23 ويقولون لكم هوذا ههنا او هوذا هناك. لا تذهبوا ولا تتبعوا.
24 for as the lightning flashing from one part of heaven lights up the other, so wil be the Son of manwhen his Day comes.	24 لانه كما ان البرق الذي يبرق من ناحية تحت السماء يضيء الى ناحية تحت السماء كذلك يكون ايضا ابن الانسان في يومه.
25 But first he is destined to suffer grievously and be rejected by this generation.	25 ولكن ينبغي اولا ان يتألم كثيرا ويرفض من هذا الجيل.
26 'As it was in Noah's day, so wil it also be in the days of the Son of man.	26 وكما كان في ايام نوح كذلك يكون ايضا في ايام ابن الانسان.
27 People were eating and drinking, marrying wives and husbands, right up to the day Noah went intothe ark, and the Flood came and destroyed them all.	27 كانوا يأكلون ويشربون ويزوجون ويتزوجون الى اليوم الذي فيه دخل نوح الفلك وجاء الطوفان واهلك الجميع.
28 It wil be the same as it was in Lot's day: people were eating and drinking, buying and selling, plantingand building,	28 كذلك ايضا كما كان في ايام لوط كانوا يأكلون ويشربون ويشترون ويبيعون ويغرسون ويبنون.
29 but the day Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and it destroyed them all.	29 ولكن اليوم الذي فيه خرج لوط من سدوم امطر نارا وكبريتا من السماء فاهلك الجميع.
30 It wil be the same when the day comes for the Son of man to be revealed.	30 هكذا يكون في اليوم الذي فيه يظهر ابن الانسان
31 'When that Day comes, no one on the housetop, with his possessions in the house, must come downto col ect them, nor must anyone in the fields turn back.	31 في ذلك اليوم من كان على السطح وامتعته في البيت فلا ينزل ليأخذها. والذي في الحقل كذلك لا يرجع الى الوراء.
32 Remember Lot's wife.	32 اذكروا امرأة لوط.
33 Anyone who tries to preserve his life wil lose it; and anyone who loses it wil keep it safe.	33 من طلب ان يخلّص نفسه يهلكها ومن اهلكها يحييها.
34 I tel you, on that night, when two are in one bed, one wil be taken, the other left;	34 اقول لكم انه في تلك الليلة يكون اثنان على فراش واحد فيؤخذ الواحد ويترك الآخر.
35 when two women are grinding corn together, one wil be taken, the other left.'	35 تكون اثنتان تطحنان معا فتؤخذ الواحدة وتترك الاخرى.
36	36 يكون اثنان في الحقل فيؤخذ الواحد ويترك الآخر.
37 The disciples spoke up and asked, 'Where, Lord?' He said, 'Where the body is, there too will thevultures gather.'	37 فاجابوا وقالوا له اين يا رب. فقال لهم حيث تكون الجثّة هناك تجتمع النسور
