¹ He said to his disciples, 'Causes of fal ing are sure to come, but alas for the one through whom theyoccur!	¹ Después dijo a sus discípulos: «Es inevitable que haya escándalos, pero ¡ay de aquel que los ocasiona!
² It would be better for such a person to be thrown into the sea with a mil stone round the neck than tobe the downfal of a single one of these little ones.	² Más le valdría que le ataran al cuello una piedra de moler y lo precipitaran al mar, antes que escandalizar a uno de estos pequeños.
³ Keep watch on yourselves! 'If your brother does something wrong, rebuke him and, if he is sorry,forgive him.	³ Por lo tanto, ¡tengan cuidado! Si tu hermano peca, repréndelo, y si se arrepiente, perdónalo.
⁴ And if he wrongs you seven times a day and seven times comes back to you and says, "I am sorry,"you must forgive him.'	⁴ Y si peca siete veces al día contra ti, y otras tantas vuelve a ti, diciendo: «Me arrepiento», perdónalo».
⁵ The apostles said to the Lord, 'Increase our faith.'	⁵ Los Apóstoles dijeron al Señor: «Auméntanos la fe».
⁶ The Lord replied, 'If you had faith like a mustard seed you could say to this mulberry tree, "Be uprootedand planted in the sea," and it would obey you.	⁶ El respondió: «Si ustedes tuvieran fe del tamaño de un grano de mostaza, y dijeran a esa morera que está ahí: "Arráncate de raíz y plántate en el mar", ella les obedecería.
⁷ 'Which of you, with a servant ploughing or minding sheep, would say to him when he returned from thefields, "Come and have your meal at once"?	⁷ Supongamos que uno de ustedes tiene un servidor para arar o cuidar el ganado. Cuando este regresa del campo, ¿acaso le dirá: "Ven pronto y siéntate a la mesa"?
⁸ Would he not be more likely to say, "Get my supper ready; fasten your belt and wait on me while I eatand drink. You yourself can eat and drink afterwards"?	⁸ ¿No le dirá más bien: "Prepárame la cena y recógete la túnica para servirme hasta que yo haya comido y bebido, y tú comerás y beberás después"?
⁹ Must he be grateful to the servant for doing what he was told?	⁹ ¿Deberá mostrarse agradecido con el servidor porque hizo lo que se le mandó?
¹⁰ So with you: when you have done al you have been told to do, say, "We are useless servants: wehave done no more than our duty." '	¹⁰ Así también ustedes, cuando hayan hecho todo lo que se les mande, digan: "Somos simples servidores, no hemos hecho más que cumplir con nuestro deber"».
¹¹ Now it happened that on the way to Jerusalem he was travel ing in the borderlands of Samaria andGalilee.	¹¹ Mientras se dirigía a Jerusalén, Jesús pesaba a través de Samaría y Galilea.
¹² As he entered one of the villages, ten men suffering from a virulent skin-disease came to meet him.They stood some way off	¹² Al entrar en un poblado, le salieron al encuentro diez leprosos, que se detuvieron a distancia
¹³ and cal ed to him, 'Jesus! Master! Take pity on us.'	¹³ y empezaron a gritarle: «¡Jesús, Maestro, ten compasión de nosotros!».
¹⁴ When he saw them he said, 'Go and show yourselves to the priests.' Now as they were going awaythey were cleansed.	¹⁴ Al verlos, Jesús les dijo: «Vayan a presentarse a los sacerdotes». Y en el camino quedaron purificados.
¹⁵ Finding himself cured, one of them turned back praising God at the top of his voice	¹⁵ Uno de ellos, al comprobar que estaba curado, volvió atrás alabando a Dios en voz alta
¹⁶ and threw himself prostrate at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. The man was a Samaritan.	¹⁶ y se arrojó a los pies de Jesús con el rostro en tierra, dándole gracias. Era un samaritano.
¹⁷ This led Jesus to say, 'Were not al ten made clean? The other nine, where are they?	¹⁷ Jesús le dijo entonces: «¿Cómo, no quedaron purificados los diez? Los otros nueve, ¿dónde están?
¹⁸ It seems that no one has come back to give praise to God, except this foreigner.'	¹⁸ ¿Ninguno volvió a dar gracias a Dios, sino este extranjero?».
¹⁹ And he said to the man, 'Stand up and go on your way. Your faith has saved you.'	¹⁹ Y agregó: «Levántate y vete, tu fe te ha salvado».
²⁰ Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was to come, he gave them this answer, 'Thecoming of the kingdom of God does not admit of observation	²⁰ Los fariseos le preguntaron cuándo llegará el Reino de Dios. El les respondió: «El Reino de Dios no viene ostensiblemente,
²¹ and there will be no one to say, "Look, it is here! Look, it is there!" For look, the kingdom of God isamong you.'	²¹ y no se podrá decir: «Está aquí» o «Está allí». Porque el Reino de Dios está entre ustedes».
²² He said to the disciples, 'A time wil come when you wil long to see one of the days of the Son ofman and wil not see it.	²² Jesús dijo después a sus discípulos: «Vendrá el tiempo en que ustedes desearán ver uno solo de los días del Hijo del hombre y no lo verán.
²³ They will say to you, "Look, it is there!" or, "Look, it is here!" Make no move; do not set off in pursuit;	²³ Les dirán: «Está aquí» o «Está allí», pero no corran a buscarlo.
²⁴ for as the lightning flashing from one part of heaven lights up the other, so wil be the Son of manwhen his Day comes.	²⁴ Como el relámpago brilla de un extremo al otro del cielo, así será el Hijo del hombre cuando llegue su Día.
²⁵ But first he is destined to suffer grievously and be rejected by this generation.	²⁵ Pero antes tendrá que sufrir mucho y será rechazado por esta generación.
²⁶ 'As it was in Noah's day, so wil it also be in the days of the Son of man.	²⁶ En los días del Hijo del hombre sucederá como en tiempo de Noé.
²⁷ People were eating and drinking, marrying wives and husbands, right up to the day Noah went intothe ark, and the Flood came and destroyed them all.	²⁷ La gente comía, bebía y se casaba, hasta el día en que Noé entró en el arca y llegó el diluvio, que los hizo morir a todos.
²⁸ It wil be the same as it was in Lot's day: people were eating and drinking, buying and selling, plantingand building,	²⁸ Sucederá como en tiempos de Lot: se comía y se bebía, se compraba y se vendía, se plantaba y se construía.
²⁹ but the day Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and it destroyed them all.	²⁹ Pero el día en que Lot salió de Sodoma, cayó del cielo una lluvia de fuego y de azufre que los hizo morir a todos.
³⁰ It wil be the same when the day comes for the Son of man to be revealed.	³⁰ Lo mismo sucederá el Día en que se manifieste el Hijo del hombre.
³¹ 'When that Day comes, no one on the housetop, with his possessions in the house, must come downto col ect them, nor must anyone in the fields turn back.	³¹ En ese Día, el que esté en la azotea y tenga sus cosas en la casa, no baje a buscarlas. Igualmente, el que esté en el campo, no vuelva atrás.
³² Remember Lot's wife.	³² Acuérdense de la mujer de Lot.
³³ Anyone who tries to preserve his life wil lose it; and anyone who loses it wil keep it safe.	³³ El que trate de salvar su vida, la perderá; y el que la pierda, la conservará.
³⁴ I tel you, on that night, when two are in one bed, one wil be taken, the other left;	³⁴ Les aseguro que en ese noche, de dos hombres que estén comiendo juntos, uno será llevado y el otro dejado;
³⁵ when two women are grinding corn together, one wil be taken, the other left.'	³⁵ de dos mujeres que estén moliendo juntas, una será llevada y la otra dejada».
³⁶	³⁶ [De dos que estén en un campo, uno será llevado y el otro dejado.]
³⁷ The disciples spoke up and asked, 'Where, Lord?' He said, 'Where the body is, there too will thevultures gather.'	³⁷ Entonces le preguntaron: «¿Dónde sucederá esto, Señor?». Jesús les respondió: «Donde esté el cadáver, se juntarán los buitres».
