Mark 14

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 It was two days before the Passover and the feast of Unleavened Bread, and the chief priests and thescribes were looking for a way to arrest Jesus by some trick and have him put to death.	1 وكان الفصح وايام الفطير بعد يومين. وكان رؤساء الكهنة والكتبة يطلبون كيف يمسكونه بمكر ويقتلونه.
2 For they said, 'It must not be during the festivities, or there wil be a disturbance among the people.'	2 ولكنهم قالوا ليس في العيد لئلا يكون شغب في الشعب
3 He was at Bethany in the house of Simon, a man who had suffered from a virulent skin-disease; hewas at table when a woman came in with an alabaster jar of very costly ointment, pure nard. She broke the jarand poured the ointment on his head.	3 وفيما هو في بيت عنيا في بيت سمعان الابرص وهو متكئ جاءت امرأة معها قارورة طيب ناردين خالص كثير الثمن. فكسرت القارورة وسكبته على راسه.
4 Some who were there said to one another indignantly, 'Why this waste of ointment?	4 وكان قوم مغتاظين في انفسهم فقالوا لماذا كان تلف الطيب هذا.
5 Ointment like this could have been sold for over three hundred denari and the money given to thepoor'; and they were angry with her.	5 لانه كان يمكن ان يباع هذا باكثر من ثلاث مئة دينار ويعطى للفقراء. وكانوا يؤنبونها.
6 But Jesus said, 'Leave her alone. Why are you upsetting her? What she has done for me is a goodwork.	6 اما يسوع فقال اتركوها. لماذا تزعجونها. قد عملت بي عملا حسنا.
7 You have the poor with you always, and you can be kind to them whenever you wish, but you wil notalways have me.	7 لان الفقراء معكم في كل حين ومتى اردتم تقدرون ان تعملوا بهم خيرا. واما انا فلست معكم في كل حين.
8 She has done what she could: she has anointed my body beforehand for its burial.	8 عملت ما عندها. قد سبقت ودهنت بالطيب جسدي للتكفين.
9 In truth I tel you, wherever throughout al the world the gospel is proclaimed, what she has done wilbe told as well, in remembrance of her.'	9 الحق اقول لكم حيثما يكرز بهذا الانجيل في كل العالم يخبر ايضا بما فعلته هذه تذكارا لها
10 Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, approached the chief priests with an offer to hand Jesus over tothem.	10 ثم ان يهوذا الاسخريوطي واحدا من الاثني عشر مضى الى رؤساء الكهنة ليسلمه اليهم.
11 They were delighted to hear it, and promised to give him money; and he began to look for a way ofbetraying him when the opportunity should occur.	11 ولما سمعوا فرحوا ووعدوه ان يعطوه فضة. وكان يطلب كيف يسلمه في فرصة موافقة ‎
12 On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was sacrificed, his disciples said tohim, 'Where do you want us to go and make the preparations for you to eat the Passover?'	12 وفي اليوم الاول من الفطير حين كانوا يذبحون الفصح قال له تلاميذه اين تريد ان نمضي ونعد لتأكل الفصح.
13 So he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 'Go into the city and you will meet a man carrying apitcher of water. Fol ow him,	13 فارسل اثنين من تلاميذه وقال لهما اذهبا الى المدينة فيلاقيكما انسان حامل جرة ماء. اتبعاه.
14 and say to the owner of the house which he enters, "The Master says: Where is the room for me toeat the Passover with my disciples?"	14 وحيثما يدخل فقولا لرب البيت ان المعلّم يقول اين المنزل حيث آكل الفصح مع تلاميذي.
15 He wil show you a large upper room furnished with couches, al prepared. Make the preparations forus there.'	15 فهو يريكما علّية كبيرة مفروشة معدة. هناك اعدا لنا.
16 The disciples set out and went to the city and found everything as he had told them, and preparedthe Passover.	16 فخرج تلميذاه وأتيا الى المدينة ووجدا كما قال لهما. فأعدا الفصح
17 When evening came he arrived with the Twelve.	17 ولما كان المساء جاء مع الاثني عشر.
18 And while they were at table eating, Jesus said, 'In truth I tell you, one of you is about to betray me,one of you eating with me.'	18 وفيما هم متكئون يأكلون قال يسوع الحق اقول لكم ان واحدا منكم يسلمني. الآكل معي.
19 They were distressed and said to him, one after another, 'Not me, surely?'	19 فابتدأوا يحزنون ويقولون له واحدا فواحدا هل انا. وآخر هل انا.
20 He said to them, 'It is one of the Twelve, one who is dipping into the same dish with me.	20 فاجاب وقال لهم. هو واحد من الاثني عشر الذي يغمس معي في الصحفة.
21 Yes, the Son of man is going to his fate, as the scriptures say he will, but alas for that man by whomthe Son of man is betrayed! Better for that man if he had never been born.'	21 ان ابن الانسان ماض كما هو مكتوب عنه. ولكن ويل لذلك الرجل الذي به يسلم ابن الانسان. كان خيرا لذلك الرجل لو لم يولد
22 And as they were eating he took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it tothem. 'Take it,' he said, 'this is my body.'	22 وفيما هم يأكلون اخذ يسوع خبزا وبارك وكسر واعطاهم وقال خذوا كلوا هذا هو جسدي.
23 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them, and al drank from it,	23 ثم اخذ الكاس وشكر واعطاهم فشربوا منها كلهم.
24 and he said to them, 'This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many.	24 وقال لهم هذا هو دمي الذي للعهد الجديد الذي يسفك من اجل كثيرين.
25 In truth I tel you, I shal never drink wine any more until the day I drink the new wine in the kingdomof God.'	25 الحق اقول لكم اني لا اشرب بعد من نتاج الكرمة الى ذلك اليوم حينما اشربه جديدا في ملكوت الله.
26 After the psalms had been sung they left for the Mount of Olives.	26 ثم سبّحوا وخرجوا الى جبل الزيتون
27 And Jesus said to them, 'You wil all fal away, for the scripture says: I shal strike the shepherd andthe sheep wil be scattered;	27 وقال لهم يسوع ان كلكم تشكون فيّ في هذه الليلة. لانه مكتوب اني اضرب الراعي فتتبدد الخراف.
28 however, after my resurrection I shall go before you into Galilee.'	28 ولكن بعد قيامي اسبقكم الى الجليل.
29 Peter said, 'Even if all fal away, I wil not.'	29 فقال له بطرس وان شك الجميع فانا لا اشك.
30 And Jesus said to him, 'In truth I tel you, this day, this very night, before the cock crows twice, youwil have disowned me three times.'	30 فقال له يسوع الحق اقول لك انك اليوم في هذه الليلة قبل ان يصيح الديك مرتين تنكرني ثلاث مرات.
31 But he repeated stil more earnestly, 'If I have to die with you, I wil never disown you.' And they allsaid the same.	31 فقال باكثر تشديد ولو اضطررت ان اموت معك لا انكرك. وهكذا قال ايضا الجميع
32 They came to a plot of land cal ed Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, 'Stay here while I pray.'	32 وجاءوا الى ضيعة اسمها جثسيماني فقال لتلاميذه اجلسوا ههنا حتى اصلّي.
33 Then he took Peter and James and John with him.	33 ثم اخذ معه بطرس ويعقوب ويوحنا وابتدأ يدهش ويكتئب.
34 And he began to feel terror and anguish. And he said to them, 'My soul is sorrowful to the point ofdeath. Wait here, and stay awake.'	34 فقال لهم نفسي حزينة جدا حتى الموت. امكثوا هنا واسهروا.
35 And going on a little further he threw himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, thishour might pass him by.	35 ثم تقدم قليلا وخرّ على الارض وكان يصلّي لكي تعبر عنه الساعة ان امكن.
36 'Abba, Father!' he said, 'For you everything is possible. Take this cup away from me. But let it be asyou, not I, would have it.'	36 وقال يا ابا الآب كل شيء مستطاع لك. فاجز عني هذه الكاس. ولكن ليكن لا ما اريد انا بل ما تريد انت.
37 He came back and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, 'Simon, are you asleep? Had you notthe strength to stay awake one hour?	37 ثم جاء ووجدهم نياما فقال لبطرس يا سمعان انت نائم. أما قدرت ان تسهر ساعة واحدة.
38 Stay awake and pray not to be put to the test. The spirit is wil ing enough, but human nature is weak.'	38 اسهروا وصلّوا لئلا تدخلوا في تجربة. اما الروح فنشيط واما الجسد فضعيف.
39 Again he went away and prayed, saying the same words.	39 ومضى ايضا وصلّى قائلا ذلك الكلام بعينه.
40 And once more he came back and found them sleeping, their eyes were so heavy; and they couldfind no answer for him.	40 ثم رجع ووجدهم ايضا نياما اذ كانت اعينهم ثقيلة فلم يعلموا بماذا يجيبونه.
41 He came back a third time and said to them, 'You can sleep on now and have your rest. It is al over.The hour has come. Now the Son of man is to be betrayed into the hands of sinners.	41 ثم جاء ثالثة وقال لهم ناموا الآن واستريحوا. يكفي. قد أتت الساعة. هوذا ابن الانسان يسلم الى ايدي الخطاة.
42 Get up! Let us go! My betrayer is not far away.'	42 قوموا لنذهب. هوذا الذي يسلمني قد اقترب
43 And at once, while he was stil speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, came up and with him a numberof men armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.	43 وللوقت فيما هو يتكلم اقبل يهوذا واحد من الاثني عشر ومعه جمع كثير بسيوف وعصي من عند رؤساء الكهنة والكتبة والشيوخ.
44 Now the traitor had arranged a signal with them saying, 'The one I kiss, he is the man. Arrest him,and see he is well guarded when you lead him away.'	44 وكان مسلمه قد اعطاهم علامة قائلا الذي اقبّله هو هو. امسكوه وامضوا به بحرص.
45 So when the traitor came, he went up to Jesus at once and said, 'Rabbi!' and kissed him.	45 فجاء للوقت وتقدم اليه قائلا يا سيدي يا سيدي. وقبله.
46 The others seized him and arrested him.	46 فألقوا ايديهم عليه وامسكوه.
47 Then one of the bystanders drew his sword and struck out at the high priest's servant and cut off hisear.	47 فاستل واحد من الحاضرين السيف وضرب عبد رئيس الكهنة فقطع اذنه
48 Then Jesus spoke. 'Am I a bandit,' he said, 'that you had to set out to capture me with swords andclubs?	48 فاجاب يسوع وقال لهم كانه على لص خرجتم بسيوف وعصي لتأخذوني.
49 I was among you teaching in the Temple day after day and you never laid a hand on me. But this isto fulfil the scriptures.'	49 كل يوم كنت معكم في الهيكل اعلّم ولم تمسكوني. ولكن لكي تكمل الكتب.
50 And they al deserted him and ran away.	50 فتركه الجميع وهربوا.
51 A young man fol owed with nothing on but a linen cloth. They caught hold of him,	51 وتبعه شاب لابسا ازارا على عريه فامسكه الشبان.
52 but he left the cloth in their hands and ran away naked.	52 فترك الازار وهرب منهم عريانا
53 They led Jesus off to the high priest; and all the chief priests and the elders and the scribesassembled there.	53 فمضوا بيسوع الى رئيس الكهنة فاجتمع معه جميع رؤساء الكهنة والشيوخ والكتبة.
54 Peter had followed him at a distance, right into the high priest's palace, and was sitting with theattendants warming himself at the fire.	54 وكان بطرس قد تبعه من بعيد الى داخل دار رئيس الكهنة وكان جالسا بين الخدام يستدفئ عند النار.
55 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus in order to havehim executed. But they could not find any.	55 وكان رؤساء الكهنة والمجمع كله يطلبون شهادة على يسوع ليقتلوه فلم يجدوا.
56 Several, indeed, brought false witness against him, but their evidence was conflicting.	56 لان كثيرين شهدوا عليه زورا ولم تتفق شهاداتهم.
57 Some stood up and submitted this false evidence against him,	57 ثم قام قوم وشهدوا عليه زورا قائلين.
58 'We heard him say, "I am going to destroy this Temple made by human hands, and in three daysbuild another, not made by human hands." '	58 نحن سمعناه يقول اني انقض هذا الهيكل المصنوع بالايادي وفي ثلاثة ايام ابني آخر غير مصنوع باياد.
59 But even on this point their evidence was conflicting.	59 ولا بهذا كانت شهادتهم تتفق.
60 The high priest then rose before the whole assembly and put this question to Jesus, 'Have you noanswer to that? What is this evidence these men are bringing against you?'	60 فقام رئيس الكهنة في الوسط وسأل يسوع قائلا أما تجيب بشيء. ماذا يشهد به هؤلاء عليك.
61 But he was silent and made no answer at all. The high priest put a second question to him saying,'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?'	61 اما هو فكان ساكتا ولم يجب بشيء. فسأله رئيس الكهنة ايضا وقال له أانت المسيح ابن المبارك.
62 'I am,' said Jesus, 'and you wil see the Son of man seated at the right hand of the Power and comingwith the clouds of heaven.'	62 فقال يسوع انا هو. وسوف تبصرون ابن الانسان جالسا عن يمين القوة وآتيا في سحاب السماء.
63 The high priest tore his robes and said, 'What need of witnesses have we now?	63 فمزّق رئيس الكهنة ثيابه وقال ما حاجتنا بعد الى شهود.
64 You heard the blasphemy. What is your finding?' Their verdict was unanimous: he deserved to die.	64 قد سمعتم التجاديف. ما رايكم. فالجميع حكموا عليه انه مستوجب الموت.
65 Some of them started spitting at his face, hitting him and saying, 'Play the prophet!' And theattendants struck him too.	65 فابتدأ قوم يبصقون عليه ويغطون وجهه ويلكمونه ويقولون له تنبأ. وكان الخدام يلطمونه
66 While Peter was down below in the courtyard, one of the high priest's servant-girls came up.	66 وبينما كان بطرس في الدار اسفل جاءت احدى جواري رئيس الكهنة.
67 She saw Peter warming himself there, looked closely at him and said, 'You too were with Jesus, theman from Nazareth.'	67 فلما رأت بطرس يستدفئ نظرت اليه وقالت وانت كنت مع يسوع الناصري.
68 But he denied it. 'I do not know, I do not understand what you are talking about,' he said. And hewent out into the forecourt, and a cock crowed.	68 فانكر قائلا لست ادري ولا افهم ما تقولين. وخرج خارجا الى الدهليز. فصاح الديك.
69 The servant-girl saw him and again started tel ing the bystanders, 'This man is one of them.'	69 فرأته الجارية ايضا وابتدأت تقول للحاضرين ان هذا منهم.
70 But again he denied it. A little later the bystanders themselves said to Peter, 'You are certainly one ofthem! Why, you are a Galilean.'	70 فانكر ايضا. وبعد قليل ايضا قال الحاضرون لبطرس حقا انت منهم لانك جليلي ايضا ولغتك تشبه لغتهم.
71 But he started cursing and swearing, 'I do not know the man you speak of.'	71 فابتدأ يلعن ويحلف اني لا اعرف هذا الرجل الذي تقولون عنه.
72 And at once the cock crowed for the second time, and Peter recalled what Jesus had said to him,'Before the cock crows twice, you will have disowned me three times.' And he burst into tears.	72 وصاح الديك ثانية فتذكر بطرس القول الذي قاله له يسوع انك قبل ان يصيح الديك مرتين تنكرني ثلاث مرات. فلما تفكر به بكى
