Mark 14

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 It was two days before the Passover and the feast of Unleavened Bread, and the chief priests and thescribes were looking for a way to arrest Jesus by some trick and have him put to death.	1 Két nappal ezután volt a húsvéti vacsora és a kovásztalan kenyerek ünnepe. A főpapok és az írástudók azon tanakodtak, miképpen fogják el őt csellel, és hogyan öljék meg.
2 For they said, 'It must not be during the festivities, or there wil be a disturbance among the people.'	2 Azt mondták ugyanis: Ne az ünnepen, nehogy zavargás támadjon a nép között.
3 He was at Bethany in the house of Simon, a man who had suffered from a virulent skin-disease; hewas at table when a woman came in with an alabaster jar of very costly ointment, pure nard. She broke the jarand poured the ointment on his head.	3 Amikor Jézus Betániában volt a leprás Simon házában és asztalnál ült, odament hozzá egy asszony, alabástromedényben valódi, drága nárduszolajat hozva. Eltörte az alabástromot, és a fejére öntötte.
4 Some who were there said to one another indignantly, 'Why this waste of ointment?	4 Voltak, akik méltatlankodtak ezen, és így beszéltek maguk között: »Mire volt jó így elpazarolni ezt a kenetet?
5 Ointment like this could have been sold for over three hundred denari and the money given to thepoor'; and they were angry with her.	5 Ezt az olajat el lehetett volna adni több, mint háromszáz dénárért, és odaadni a szegényeknek!« És megharagudtak az asszonyra.
6 But Jesus said, 'Leave her alone. Why are you upsetting her? What she has done for me is a goodwork.	6 Jézus azonban így szólt: »Hagyjatok békét neki! Miért bántjátok? Hiszen jót tett velem.
7 You have the poor with you always, and you can be kind to them whenever you wish, but you wil notalways have me.	7 Szegények mindig lesznek veletek, és amikor akartok, jót tehettek velük; de én nem leszek mindig veletek.
8 She has done what she could: she has anointed my body beforehand for its burial.	8 Ő megtette azt, ami tőle telt: előre megkente testemet a temetésre.

12 On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was sacrificed, his disciples said tohim, 'Where do you want us to go and make the preparations for you to eat the Passover?'	12 A kovásztalan kenyerek első napján pedig, mikor a húsvéti bárányt feláldozzák, tanítványai megkérdezték tőle: »Mit akarsz, hová menjünk előkészíteni, hogy megehesd a húsvéti vacsorát?«
13 So he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 'Go into the city and you will meet a man carrying apitcher of water. Fol ow him,	13 Akkor elküldött kettőt a tanítványai közül, ezekkel a szavakkal: »Menjetek a városba. Találkoztok ott egy emberrel, aki vizeskorsót visz. Kövessétek őt,
14 and say to the owner of the house which he enters, "The Master says: Where is the room for me toeat the Passover with my disciples?"	14 és ahova bemegy, mondjátok a házigazdának, hogy a Mester kérdezi: ‘Hol van a szállásom, ahol a húsvéti bárányt tanítványaimmal elfogyaszthatom?’
15 He wil show you a large upper room furnished with couches, al prepared. Make the preparations forus there.'	15 Mutatni fog nektek egy nagy ebédlőt készen, megterítve. Ott készítsétek el nekünk.«
16 The disciples set out and went to the city and found everything as he had told them, and preparedthe Passover.	16 Tanítványai elindultak és bementek a városba. Mindent úgy találtak, ahogy megmondta nekik, és elkészítették a húsvéti vacsorát.
17 When evening came he arrived with the Twelve.	17 Amikor beesteledett, odaérkezett a tizenkettővel.
18 And while they were at table eating, Jesus said, 'In truth I tell you, one of you is about to betray me,one of you eating with me.'	18 Amikor letelepedtek és ettek, Jézus így szólt: »Bizony, mondom nektek: közületek az egyik, aki velem eszik, elárul engem« .
19 They were distressed and said to him, one after another, 'Not me, surely?'	19 Erre azok elszomorodtak, és egyenként kérdezgetni kezdték tőle: »Csak nem én vagyok az, Uram?«
20 He said to them, 'It is one of the Twelve, one who is dipping into the same dish with me.	20 Ő azt felelte nekik: »A tizenkettő közül az egyik, aki velem egyszerre márt a tálból.
21 Yes, the Son of man is going to his fate, as the scriptures say he will, but alas for that man by whomthe Son of man is betrayed! Better for that man if he had never been born.'	21 Az Emberfia ugyan elmegy, ahogy meg van írva róla, de jaj annak az embernek, aki az Emberfiát elárulja! Jobb lett volna annak az embernek, ha meg sem születik!«
22 And as they were eating he took bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it tothem. 'Take it,' he said, 'this is my body.'	22 Miközben ettek, Jézus fogta a kenyeret, áldást mondott, megtörte, és odaadta nekik ezekkel a szavakkal: »Vegyétek, ez az én testem.«
23 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he handed it to them, and al drank from it,	23 Azután fogta a kelyhet, hálát adott, odaadta nekik, és ittak belőle mindnyájan.
24 and he said to them, 'This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, poured out for many.	24 Ő pedig így szólt: »Ez az én vérem, az új szövetségé , amely sokakért kiontatik.
25 In truth I tel you, I shal never drink wine any more until the day I drink the new wine in the kingdomof God.'	25 Bizony, mondom nektek: többé már nem iszom a szőlőnek ebből a terméséből addig a napig, amíg az újat nem iszom Isten országában.«
26 After the psalms had been sung they left for the Mount of Olives.	26 Miután elénekelték a himnuszt, kimentek az Olajfák hegyére.
27 And Jesus said to them, 'You wil all fal away, for the scripture says: I shal strike the shepherd andthe sheep wil be scattered;	27 Jézus azt mondta nekik: »Mindnyájan megbotránkoztok bennem, mert írva van: ‘Megverem a pásztort, és elszélednek a juhok’ .
28 however, after my resurrection I shall go before you into Galilee.'	28 De miután feltámadtam, előttetek megyek Galileába.«
29 Peter said, 'Even if all fal away, I wil not.'	29 Péter erre azt mondta neki: »Ha mindenki megbotránkozik is benned, én nem fogok!«
30 And Jesus said to him, 'In truth I tel you, this day, this very night, before the cock crows twice, youwil have disowned me three times.'	30 Jézus azt felelte neki: »Bizony, mondom neked, te még ma éjszaka, mielőtt a kakas kétszer megszólal, háromszor is megtagadsz engem.«
31 But he repeated stil more earnestly, 'If I have to die with you, I wil never disown you.' And they allsaid the same.	31 Ő még erősebben fogadkozott: »Még ha veled együtt meg is kell halnom, akkor sem tagadlak meg téged!« Ugyanígy beszéltek a többiek is valamennyien.
32 They came to a plot of land cal ed Gethsemane, and he said to his disciples, 'Stay here while I pray.'	32 Odaértek a majorba, amelyet Getszemáninak hívnak. Akkor azt mondta tanítványainak: »Üljetek le itt, amíg imádkozom.«
33 Then he took Peter and James and John with him.	33 Maga mellé vette Pétert, Jakabot és Jánost, és elkezdett remegni és gyötrődni.
34 And he began to feel terror and anguish. And he said to them, 'My soul is sorrowful to the point ofdeath. Wait here, and stay awake.'	34 Azt mondta nekik: »Halálosan szomorú a lelkem. Maradjatok itt és virrasszatok.«
35 And going on a little further he threw himself on the ground and prayed that, if it were possible, thishour might pass him by.	35 Egy kissé előbbre ment, a földre borult és imádkozott, hogy ha lehetséges, távozzék el tőle ez az óra.
36 'Abba, Father!' he said, 'For you everything is possible. Take this cup away from me. But let it be asyou, not I, would have it.'	36 Ezt mondta: »Abba, Atyám! Minden lehetséges neked. Vedd el tőlem ezt a kelyhet! De ne az legyen, amit én akarok, hanem amit te.«
37 He came back and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, 'Simon, are you asleep? Had you notthe strength to stay awake one hour?	37 Ezután visszajött, és alva találta őket. Így szólt Péterhez: »Simon, alszol? Nem tudtál virrasztani egy órát?
38 Stay awake and pray not to be put to the test. The spirit is wil ing enough, but human nature is weak.'	38 Virrasszatok és imádkozzatok, hogy kísértésbe ne essetek! A lélek ugyan kész, de a test erőtlen.«
39 Again he went away and prayed, saying the same words.	39 Aztán újra elment és imádkozott, ugyanazokkal a szavakkal.
40 And once more he came back and found them sleeping, their eyes were so heavy; and they couldfind no answer for him.	40 Megint visszatért, és alva találta őket, mert a szemük elnehezedett; nem is tudták, mit feleljenek neki.
41 He came back a third time and said to them, 'You can sleep on now and have your rest. It is al over.The hour has come. Now the Son of man is to be betrayed into the hands of sinners.	41 Majd harmadszor is odajött, és azt mondta nekik: »Aludjatok már és nyugodjatok! Elég, eljött az óra! Íme, az Emberfiát a bűnösök kezébe adják.
42 Get up! Let us go! My betrayer is not far away.'	42 Keljetek föl, menjünk! Íme, közel van már, aki elárul engem.«
43 And at once, while he was stil speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, came up and with him a numberof men armed with swords and clubs, sent by the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.	43 Még beszélt, amikor megérkezett az iskarióti Júdás, egy a tizenkettő közül, és vele nagy tömeg kardokkal és botokkal a főpapoktól, írástudóktól és a vénektől.
44 Now the traitor had arranged a signal with them saying, 'The one I kiss, he is the man. Arrest him,and see he is well guarded when you lead him away.'	44 Aki elárulta őt, jelt adott nekik: »Akit megcsókolok, ő az, fogjátok meg, és jól vigyázva vigyétek el.«
45 So when the traitor came, he went up to Jesus at once and said, 'Rabbi!' and kissed him.	45 Amint odaért, mindjárt odalépett hozzá, és így szólt: »Rabbi!« És megcsókolta őt.
46 The others seized him and arrested him.	46 Azok pedig kezet emeltek rá, és megragadták őt.
47 Then one of the bystanders drew his sword and struck out at the high priest's servant and cut off hisear.	47 Az ott lévők közül az egyik kardot rántott, rásújtott a főpap szolgájára, és levágta a fülét.
48 Then Jesus spoke. 'Am I a bandit,' he said, 'that you had to set out to capture me with swords andclubs?	48 Jézus így szólt hozzájuk: »Mint valami rabló ellen, úgy jöttetek ki kardokkal és botokkal, hogy elfogjatok.
49 I was among you teaching in the Temple day after day and you never laid a hand on me. But this isto fulfil the scriptures.'	49 Mindennap veletek voltam, tanítottam a templomban, mégsem fogtatok el. Az írásoknak azonban be kell teljesedniük.«
50 And they al deserted him and ran away.	50 A tanítványai ekkor elhagyták őt, és mindnyájan elfutottak.
51 A young man fol owed with nothing on but a linen cloth. They caught hold of him,	51 Egy ifjú azonban követte, mezítelen testén egy szál gyolcsingben.
52 but he left the cloth in their hands and ran away naked.	52 Elkapták, de az, ingét otthagyva, mezítelenül elfutott tőlük.
53 They led Jesus off to the high priest; and all the chief priests and the elders and the scribesassembled there.	53 Jézust a főpaphoz vitték. Összegyűlt nála minden főpap, írástudó és vén.
54 Peter had followed him at a distance, right into the high priest's palace, and was sitting with theattendants warming himself at the fire.	54 Péter pedig messziről követte őt, be egészen a főpap palotájáig, és a szolgákkal a tűznél leülve melegedett.
55 The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus in order to havehim executed. But they could not find any.	55 A főpapok pedig, és az egész főtanács, tanúvallomást kerestek Jézus ellen, hogy halálra adják, de nem találtak.
56 Several, indeed, brought false witness against him, but their evidence was conflicting.	56 Sokan tettek ugyanis hamis tanúvallomást ellene, de vallomásaik nem egyeztek egymással.
57 Some stood up and submitted this false evidence against him,	57 Végül néhányan felálltak, és hamis tanúvallomást tettek ellene ezekkel a szavakkal:
58 'We heard him say, "I am going to destroy this Temple made by human hands, and in three daysbuild another, not made by human hands." '	58 »Hallottuk, hogy ez azt mondta: ‘Lebontom ezt a kéz alkotta templomot, és három nap alatt másikat építek, amelyet nem kéz alkotott’.«
59 But even on this point their evidence was conflicting.	59 De a vallomásuk így sem volt megegyező.
60 The high priest then rose before the whole assembly and put this question to Jesus, 'Have you noanswer to that? What is this evidence these men are bringing against you?'	60 Ekkor a főpap középre állt, és megkérdezte Jézust: »Semmit sem felelsz mindarra, amit ezek tanúsítanak ellened?«
61 But he was silent and made no answer at all. The high priest put a second question to him saying,'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?'	61 Ő csak hallgatott, és semmit sem felelt. A főpap újra megkérdezte őt: »Te vagy-e a Krisztus, az áldott Isten Fia?«
62 'I am,' said Jesus, 'and you wil see the Son of man seated at the right hand of the Power and comingwith the clouds of heaven.'	62 Jézus azt felelte neki: »Én vagyok. És látni fogjátok az Emberfiát a Hatalmasnak jobbján ülni, és eljönni az ég felhőiben« .
63 The high priest tore his robes and said, 'What need of witnesses have we now?	63 Ekkor a főpap megszaggatta ruháit, és így szólt: »Mi szükségünk van még tanúkra?
64 You heard the blasphemy. What is your finding?' Their verdict was unanimous: he deserved to die.	64 Hallottátok a káromkodást. Mit gondoltok?« Erre azok mindnyájan halálra méltónak ítélték őt.
65 Some of them started spitting at his face, hitting him and saying, 'Play the prophet!' And theattendants struck him too.	65 Ezután egyesek elkezdték őt leköpdösni, betakarták az arcát, ököllel verték, és azt mondták neki: »Prófétálj!« S a szolgák is arcul verték őt.
66 While Peter was down below in the courtyard, one of the high priest's servant-girls came up.	66 Eközben Péter lent volt az udvarban. Odajött a főpap egyik szolgálója,
67 She saw Peter warming himself there, looked closely at him and said, 'You too were with Jesus, theman from Nazareth.'	67 látta Pétert melegedni, szemügyre vette őt, és azt mondta: »Te is a Názáreti Jézussal voltál!«
68 But he denied it. 'I do not know, I do not understand what you are talking about,' he said. And hewent out into the forecourt, and a cock crowed.	68 Ő azonban letagadta: »Nem ismerem őt, és azt sem értem, mit mondasz.« Aztán kiment az előcsarnokba; ekkor megszólalt a kakas.
69 The servant-girl saw him and again started tel ing the bystanders, 'This man is one of them.'	69 A szolgáló megint meglátta őt, újra mondogatni kezdte a körülállóknak, hogy ez is azok közül való.
70 But again he denied it. A little later the bystanders themselves said to Peter, 'You are certainly one ofthem! Why, you are a Galilean.'	70 Ő megint csak letagadta. Kis idő múltán az ott állók ismét így szóltak Péterhez: »Biztosan közéjük tartozol, hiszen galileai vagy.«
71 But he started cursing and swearing, 'I do not know the man you speak of.'	71 Ő pedig átkozódni kezdett és esküdözni: »Nem ismerem azt az embert, akiről beszéltek!«
72 And at once the cock crowed for the second time, and Peter recalled what Jesus had said to him,'Before the cock crows twice, you will have disowned me three times.' And he burst into tears.	72 Erre mindjárt megszólalt a kakas, másodszor. Péternek pedig eszébe jutott Jézus szava, amit mondott neki: »Mielőtt a kakas kétszer szól, háromszor tagadsz meg engem.« És sírni kezdett.
