Matthew 15

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 Then Pharisees and scribes from Jerusalem came to Jesus and said,	1 Da kamen von Jerusalem Pharisäer und Schriftgelehrte zu Jesus und sagten:
2 'Why do your disciples break away from the tradition of the elders? They eat without washing theirhands.'	2 Warum missachten deine Jünger die Überlieferung der Alten? Denn sie waschen sich nicht die Hände vor dem Essen.
3 He answered, 'And why do you break away from the commandment of God for the sake of yourtradition?	3 Er entgegnete ihnen: Warum missachtet denn ihr Gottes Gebot um eurer Überlieferung willen?
4 For God said, "Honour your father and your mother" and "Anyone who curses his father or mother wilbe put to death."	4 Gott hat gesagt: Ehre Vater und Mutter!, und: Wer Vater oder Mutter verflucht, soll mit dem Tod bestraft werden.
5 But you say, "If anyone says to his father or mother: Anything I might have used to help you isdedicated to God,	5 Ihr aber lehrt: Wer zu Vater oder Mutter sagt: Was ich dir schulde, erkläre ich zur Opfergabe!,
6 he is rid of his duty to father or mother." In this way you have made God's word ineffective by means ofyour tradition.	6 der braucht seinen Vater oder seine Mutter nicht mehr zu ehren. Damit habt ihr Gottes Wort um eurer Überlieferung willen außer Kraft gesetzt.
7 Hypocrites! How rightly Isaiah prophesied about you when he said:	7 Ihr Heuchler! Der Prophet Jesaja hatte Recht, als er über euch sagte:
8 This people honours me only with lip-service, while their hearts are far from me.	8 Dieses Volk ehrt mich mit den Lippen, sein Herz aber ist weit weg von mir.
9 Their reverence of me is worthless; the lessons they teach are nothing but human commandments.'	9 Es ist sinnlos, wie sie mich verehren; was sie lehren, sind Satzungen von Menschen.
10 He called the people to him and said, 'Listen, and understand.	10 Und er rief die Leute zu sich und sagte: Hört und begreift:
11 What goes into the mouth does not make anyone unclean; it is what comes out of the mouth thatmakes someone unclean.'	11 Nicht das, was durch den Mund in den Menschen hineinkommt, macht ihn unrein, sondern was aus dem Mund des Menschen herauskommt, das macht ihn unrein.
12 Then the disciples came to him and said, 'Do you know that the Pharisees were shocked when theyheard what you said?'	12 Da kamen die Jünger zu ihm und sagten: Weißt du, dass die Pharisäer über deine Worte empört sind?
13 He replied, 'Any plant my heavenly Father has not planted wil be pul ed up by the roots.	13 Er antwortete ihnen: Jede Pflanze, die nicht mein himmlischer Vater gepflanzt hat, wird ausgerissen werden.
14 Leave them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind; and if one blind person leads another, both wilfal into a pit.'	14 Lasst sie, es sind blinde Blindenführer. Und wenn ein Blinder einen Blinden führt, werden beide in eine Grube fallen.
15 At this, Peter said to him, 'Explain the parable for us.'	15 Da sagte Petrus zu ihm: Erkläre uns jenes rätselhafte Wort!
16 Jesus replied, 'Even you -- don't you yet understand?	16 Er antwortete: Seid auch ihr noch immer ohne Einsicht?
17 Can't you see that whatever goes into the mouth passes through the stomach and is discharged intothe sewer?	17 Begreift ihr nicht, dass alles, was durch den Mund (in den Menschen) hineinkommt, in den Magen gelangt und dann wieder ausgeschieden wird?
18 But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and it is this that makes someoneunclean.	18 Was aber aus dem Mund herauskommt, das kommt aus dem Herzen, und das macht den Menschen unrein.
19 For from the heart come evil intentions: murder, adultery, fornication, theft, perjury, slander.	19 Denn aus dem Herzen kommen böse Gedanken, Mord, Ehebruch, Unzucht, Diebstahl, falsche Zeugenaussagen und Verleumdungen.
20 These are the things that make a person unclean. But eating with unwashed hands does not makeanyone unclean.'	20 Das ist es, was den Menschen unrein macht; aber mit ungewaschenen Händen essen macht ihn nicht unrein.
21 Jesus left that place and withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon.	21 Von dort zog sich Jesus in das Gebiet von Tyrus und Sidon zurück.
22 And suddenly out came a Canaanite woman from that district and started shouting, 'Lord, Son ofDavid, take pity on me. My daughter is tormented by a devil.'	22 Da kam eine kanaanäische Frau aus jener Gegend zu ihm und rief: Hab Erbarmen mit mir, Herr, du Sohn Davids! Meine Tochter wird von einem Dämon gequält.
23 But he said not a word in answer to her. And his disciples went and pleaded with him, saying, 'Giveher what she wants, because she keeps shouting after us.'	23 Jesus aber gab ihr keine Antwort. Da traten seine Jünger zu ihm und baten: Befrei sie (von ihrer Sorge), denn sie schreit hinter uns her.
24 He said in reply, 'I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.'	24 Er antwortete: Ich bin nur zu den verlorenen Schafen des Hauses Israel gesandt.
25 But the woman had come up and was bowing low before him. 'Lord,' she said, 'help me.'	25 Doch die Frau kam, fiel vor ihm nieder und sagte: Herr, hilf mir!
26 He replied, 'It is not fair to take the children's food and throw it to little dogs.'	26 Er erwiderte: Es ist nicht recht, das Brot den Kindern wegzunehmen und den Hunden vorzuwerfen.
27 She retorted, 'Ah yes, Lord; but even little dogs eat the scraps that fal from their masters' table.'	27 Da entgegnete sie: Ja, du hast recht, Herr! Aber selbst die Hunde bekommen von den Brotresten, die vom Tisch ihrer Herren fallen.
28 Then Jesus answered her, 'Woman, you have great faith. Let your desire be granted.' And from thatmoment her daughter was wel again.	28 Darauf antwortete ihr Jesus: Frau, dein Glaube ist groß. Was du willst, soll geschehen. Und von dieser Stunde an war ihre Tochter geheilt.
29 Jesus went on from there and reached the shores of the Lake of Galilee, and he went up onto themountain. He took his seat,	29 Jesus zog weiter und kam an den See von Galiläa. Er stieg auf einen Berg und setzte sich.
30 and large crowds came to him bringing the lame, the crippled, the blind, the dumb and many others;these they put down at his feet, and he cured them.	30 Da kamen viele Menschen und brachten Lahme, Krüppel, Blinde, Stumme und viele andere Kranke zu ihm; sie legten sie vor ihn hin, und er heilte sie.
31 The crowds were astonished to see the dumb speaking, the cripples whole again, the lame walkingand the blind with their sight, and they praised the God of Israel.	31 Als die Menschen sahen, dass Stumme plötzlich redeten, Krüppel gesund wurden, Lahme gehen und Blinde sehen konnten, waren sie erstaunt und priesen den Gott Israels.
32 But Jesus cal ed his disciples to him and said, 'I feel sorry for al these people; they have been withme for three days now and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them off hungry, or they might col apse onthe way.'	32 Jesus rief seine Jünger zu sich und sagte: Ich habe Mitleid mit diesen Menschen; sie sind schon drei Tage bei mir und haben nichts mehr zu essen. Ich will sie nicht hungrig wegschicken, sonst brechen sie unterwegs zusammen.
33 The disciples said to him, 'Where in a deserted place could we get sufficient bread for such a largecrowd to have enough to eat?'	33 Da sagten die Jünger zu ihm: Wo sollen wir in dieser unbewohnten Gegend so viel Brot hernehmen, um so viele Menschen satt zu machen?
34 Jesus said to them, 'How many loaves have you?' They said, 'Seven, and a few smal fish.'	34 Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Wie viele Brote habt ihr? Sie antworteten: Sieben, und noch ein paar Fische.
35 Then he instructed the crowd to sit down on the ground,	35 Da forderte er die Leute auf, sich auf den Boden zu setzen.
36 and he took the seven loaves and the fish, and after giving thanks he broke them and began handingthem to the disciples, who gave them to the crowds.	36 Und er nahm die sieben Brote und die Fische, sprach das Dankgebet, brach die Brote und gab sie den Jüngern und die Jünger verteilten sie an die Leute.
37 They al ate as much as they wanted, and they col ected what was left of the scraps, seven basketsful .	37 Und alle aßen und wurden satt. Dann sammelte man die übrig gebliebenen Brotstücke ein, sieben Körbe voll.
38 Now four thousand men had eaten, to say nothing of women and children.	38 Es waren viertausend Männer, die an dem Mahl teilgenommen hatten, dazu noch Frauen und Kinder.
39 And when he had sent the crowds away he got into the boat and went to the territory of Magadan.	39 Danach schickte er die Menge nach Hause, stieg ins Boot und fuhr in die Gegend von Magadan.
