18 This is how Jesus Christ came to be born. 21 She wil give birth to a son and you must name him Jesus, because he is the one who is to save hispeople from their sins.'	21 Ela dará à luz um filho, a quem porás o nome de Jesus, porque ele salvará o seu povo de seus pecados.
22 Now al this took place to fulfil what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:	22 Tudo isto aconteceu para que se cumprisse o que o Senhor falou pelo profeta:
23 Look! the virgin is with child and will give birth to a son whom they wil cal Immanuel, a name whichmeans 'God-is-with-us'.	23 Eis que a Virgem conceberá e dará à luz um filho, que se chamará Emanuel {Is 7, 14}, que significa: Deus conosco.
24 When Joseph woke up he did what the angel of the Lord had told him to do: he took his wife to hishome;	24 Despertando, José fez como o anjo do Senhor lhe havia mandado e recebeu em sua casa sua esposa.
25 he had not had intercourse with her when she gave birth to a son; and he named him Jesus.	25 E, sem que ele a tivesse conhecido, ela deu à luz o seu filho, que recebeu o nome de Jesus.
