18 This is how Jesus Christ came to be born. 22 Now al this took place to fulfil what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:	22 Tutto ciò avvenne affinchè si adempisse quanto aveva detto il Signore a mezzo del profeta:
23 Look! the virgin is with child and will give birth to a son whom they wil cal Immanuel, a name whichmeans 'God-is-with-us'.	23 «Ecco, la Vergine concepirà e darà alla luce un figlio, che sarà chiamato Emmanuele», il che vuol dire: «Dio con noi».
24 When Joseph woke up he did what the angel of the Lord had told him to do: he took his wife to hishome;	24 Svegliatosi dal sonno, Giuseppe fece come gli aveva comandato l'angelo del Signore e, presa con sè la sua sposa,
25 he had not had intercourse with her when she gave birth to a son; and he named him Jesus.	25 non la conobbe finchè ella diede alla luce il figlio suo primogenito, a cui pose nome Gesù.
