Zechariah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	VULGATA
1 Again I raised my eyes, and this is what I saw: four chariots coming out between two mountains, andthe mountains were mountains of bronze.	1 Et conversus sum, et levavi oculos meos, et vidi : et ecce quatuor quadrigæ egredientes de medio duorum montium : et montes, montes ærei.
2 The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot had black horses,	2 In quadriga prima equi rufi, et in quadriga secunda equi nigri,
3 the third chariot had white horses and the fourth chariot had vigorous, piebald horses.	3 et in quadriga tertia equi albi, et in quadriga quarta equi varii et fortes.
4 I asked the angel who was talking to me, 'What are these, my lord?'	4 Et respondi, et dixi ad angelum qui loquebatur in me : Quid sunt hæc, domine mi ?
5 The angel replied, 'They are the four winds of heaven now leaving, after attending the Lord of the wholeworld.	5 Et respondit angelus, et ait ad me : Isti sunt quatuor venti cæli, qui egrediuntur ut stent coram Dominatore omnis terræ.
6 The black horses are leaving for the land of the north; the white are following them, and the piebald areleaving for the land of the south.'	6 In qua erant equi nigri, egrediebantur in terram aquilonis : et albi egressi sunt post eos, et varii egressi sunt ad terram austri.
7 They came out vigorously, eager to patrol the world. He said to them, 'Go and patrol the world.' Andthey patrol ed the world.	7 Qui autem erant robustissimi, exierunt, et quærebant ire et discurrere per omnem terram. Et dixit : Ite, perambulate terram : et perambulaverunt terram.
8 He called to me and said, 'Look, the ones going to the land of the north brought my spirit to rest on theland of the north.'	8 Et vocavit me, et locutus est ad me, dicens : Ecce qui egrediuntur in terram aquilonis, requiescere fecerunt spiritum meum in terra aquilonis.
9 Then the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	9 Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens :
10 'Col ect silver and gold from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, then (you yourself go thesame day) go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah, who has arrived from Babylon.	10 Sume a transmigratione, ab Holdai, et a Tobia, et ab Idaia : et venies tu in die illa, et intrabis domum Josiæ filii Sophoniæ, qui venerunt de Babylone.
11 Then, taking the silver and gold, make a crown and place it on the head of the high priest Joshua sonof Jehozadak.	11 Et sumes aurum et argentum, et facies coronas, et pones in capite Jesu filii Josedec, sacerdotis magni :
12 And say this to him, "Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Here is a man whose name is Branch; where he is,there will be a branching out (and he wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary).	12 et loqueris ad eum, dicens : Hæc ait Dominus exercituum, dicens : Ecce vir, Oriens nomen ejus, et subter eum orietur, et ædificabit templum Domino.
13 Yes, he is the one who wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary; he wil wear the royal insignia and sit on histhrone and govern, with a priest on his right. Perfect peace wil reign between these two.	13 Et ipse exstruet templum Domino : et ipse portabit gloriam, et sedebit, et dominabitur super solio suo : et erit sacerdos super solio suo, et consilium pacis erit inter illos duos.
14 And the crown wil serve Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and the son of Zephaniah as a memorial of favour inYahweh's sanctuary.	14 Et coronæ erunt Helem, et Tobiæ, et Idaiæ, et Hem filio Sophoniæ, memoriale in templo Domini.
15 And those now far away wil come and work on the building of Yahweh's sanctuary." 'Then you willknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you. It wil happen if you diligently obey the voice of Yahweh yourGod.'	15 Et qui procul sunt, venient, et ædificabunt in templo Domini : et scietis quia Dominus exercituum misit me ad vos. Erit autem hoc, si auditu audieritis vocem Domini Dei vestri.
