Zechariah 6

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Again I raised my eyes, and this is what I saw: four chariots coming out between two mountains, andthe mountains were mountains of bronze.	1 E mi voltai, e alzai gli occhi, e vidi, ed ecco apparire quattro cocchi dalla gola di due montagne, e le montagne eran montagne di bronzo.
2 The first chariot had red horses, the second chariot had black horses,	2 Al primo cocchio v'eran cavalli rossi, al secondo cocchio cavalli neri,
3 the third chariot had white horses and the fourth chariot had vigorous, piebald horses.	3 al terzo cocchio cavalli bianchi, al quarto cocchio cavalli vafii e vigorosi.
4 I asked the angel who was talking to me, 'What are these, my lord?'	4 Ed io, presa la parola, dissi all'angelo che parlava con me: « Signor mio, che sono queste cose? »
5 The angel replied, 'They are the four winds of heaven now leaving, after attending the Lord of the wholeworld.	5 E l'angelo mi rispose dicendo: « Questi sono i quattro venti del cielo, che vengon fuori per star dinanzi al Dominatore di tutta la terra ».
6 The black horses are leaving for the land of the north; the white are following them, and the piebald areleaving for the land of the south.'	6 Col cocchio i cavalli neri andarono verso la terra del settentrione, e i cavalli bianchi andaron loro dietro, e i vaii andarono verso la terra, australe.
7 They came out vigorously, eager to patrol the world. He said to them, 'Go and patrol the world.' Andthey patrol ed the world.	7 Ma questi, che erano i più vigorosi, bramavan di correre per tutta la terra. E (l'angelo disse:) « Andate, scorrete la terra ». E quelli corsero la terra.
8 He called to me and said, 'Look, the ones going to the land of the north brought my spirit to rest on theland of the north.'	8 E (l'angelo) mi chiamò e mi disse queste parole: « Ecco, quelli andati verso la terra del settentrione hanno fatto posare il mio spirito nella terra del settentrione ».
9 Then the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	9 E la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:
10 'Col ect silver and gold from the exiles, from Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah, then (you yourself go thesame day) go to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah, who has arrived from Babylon.	10 « Prendi (i doni) dagli esuli, da Oldai, da Tobia, da Idaia, — andrai (per questo) in quel giorno, ed entrerai nella casa di Giosia figlio di Sofonia, (dove sono) quelli venuti da Babilonia. —
11 Then, taking the silver and gold, make a crown and place it on the head of the high priest Joshua sonof Jehozadak.	11 Prenderai dunque l'oro e l'argento, e ne farai delle corone, e le porrai sul capo di Gesù, figlio di Iosedec, sommo sacerdote.
12 And say this to him, "Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Here is a man whose name is Branch; where he is,there will be a branching out (and he wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary).	12 E, rivolgendo a lui la parola, dirai: Così parla il Signore degli eserciti: « Ecco l'uomo, Oriente è il suo nome: sorgerà sotto di lui, ed edificherà il tempio del Signore.
13 Yes, he is the one who wil rebuild Yahweh's sanctuary; he wil wear the royal insignia and sit on histhrone and govern, with a priest on his right. Perfect peace wil reign between these two.	13 Egli stesso edificherà il tempio al Signore, egli sarà ammantato di gloria, e sederà e regnerà sui suo trono e sarà sacerdote sul suo trono, e fra i due vi sarà intesa di pace.
14 And the crown wil serve Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah and the son of Zephaniah as a memorial of favour inYahweh's sanctuary.	14 E le corone saranno, per Helem, Tobia, Idaia e Idem, figlio di Sofonia, un monumento nel tempio del Signore.
15 And those now far away wil come and work on the building of Yahweh's sanctuary." 'Then you willknow that Yahweh Sabaoth has sent me to you. It wil happen if you diligently obey the voice of Yahweh yourGod.'	15 E quelli che son lontani verranno, e lavoreranno attorno al tempio del Signore, e voi conoscerete che mi ha mandato a voi il Signore degli eserciti. Or questo avverrà se voi ascolterete con docilità la voce del Signore Dio vostro ».
